Hal 9000 Posted August 4, 2014 Report Posted August 4, 2014 Seriously though, when will Palestinians say enough is enough and take up arms against Hamas? marcus Posted August 4, 2014 Report Posted August 4, 2014 There are 3 major factors that will force the Apartheid Israeli government to succumb to pressure: #1 - Technology and the ability to get information beyond the self-censoring mainstream media #2 - BDS movement #3 - Growing number of Jews living outside of Israel who are saying: "Not in our name" Joseph Massad: "Today many American Jewish luminaries in academe oppose Israeli policies unreservedly. Whereas once Noam Chomsky was a lone Jewish academic voice critical of Israel, he is today joined by scores of Jewish academics and intellectuals in opposing Israeli policies . . . . Some, like the prominent American Jewish philosopher Judith Butler, have surpassed Chomsky in their opposition to Zionist and Israeli racism and colonialism, and are vocal supporters of the boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement and call for a one-state solution, both of which Chomsky does not support . . . . And this is not limited to Jewish intellectuals but extends also to Jewish activists, especially groups like Jewish Voice for Peace (which, among many of its anti-racist activities, played an important role in helping Palestinians and others persuade the Presbyterian Church USA to divest from companies profiting from the Israeli occupation), and the countless Jewish students joining, and in a good number of cases, leading groups like Students for Justice in Palestine based on their commitment to fight racism and colonialism, values that are the diametrical opposite of Zionist colonial racism and fascist tribalism." Link There will always be some opposition for every side. I'm sure there are Paletinians who disagree with Hamas (Do you have excerpts from them?). Nobody expected 100% support, but Im sure Netanyahu with his 80% approval rating (from Israelis) doesn't worry too much about a couple US jewish detractors. Shady Posted August 4, 2014 Report Posted August 4, 2014 Explain the tunnels? The tunnels are used to smuggle everything from fuel, construction materials, weapons, medicine, food, people, and pretty much anything else. Most of them are across the Philidelphia corridor between Gaza and Egypt. The tunnels from Gaza into Israel are used to smuggle food and medicine? Huh? Quote
GostHacked Posted August 4, 2014 Report Posted August 4, 2014 The tunnels that took years to build. You have to love watching somebody twist themselves into pretzels trying to defend a terrorist organization that's mission is to destroy Israel regardless of its borders. Short sightedness on Israel's part to not build the wall deep in the ground. Also shows the wall is quite useless. Quote
Shady Posted August 4, 2014 Report Posted August 4, 2014 Short sightedness on Israel's part to not build the wall deep in the ground. Also shows the wall is quite useless. They'd have to build a wall 100 feet below ground level which would be quite difficult and costly. However the wall isn't useless at all. In fact it's the complete opposite. The wall has brought the suicide bomber strategy of Hamas to a complete stand still. You don't know what you're talking about. Quote
dre Posted August 4, 2014 Report Posted August 4, 2014 The tunnels from Gaza into Israel are used to smuggle food and medicine? Huh? Cant read huh? Theres a number of "attack" tunnels that go directly from Gaza into Israel. Quote I question things because I am human. And call no one my father who's no closer than a stranger
Shady Posted August 4, 2014 Report Posted August 4, 2014 Cant read huh? Please abstain from the personal attacks. I don't know why your side seems to have to resort to them on such a regular basis. Quote

Right, I hope people will drop the anti-semitism card then. Being it a personal attack. Not accusing you of it, but some have taken that route here. So why does your side have to resort to that? dre Posted August 4, 2014 Report Posted August 4, 2014 Please abstain from the personal attacks. I don't know why your side seems to have to resort to them on such a regular basis. Hal 9000 Posted August 4, 2014 Report Posted August 4, 2014 The tunnels from Gaza into Israel are used to smuggle food and medicine? Huh? Well duh! These Hamas guys care so much for the Palestinians that they've built at least 30 tunnels and fortified them with concrete and power so that they can risk their lives getting food and medicine. No chance they're using the tunnels to move weapons and missiles - no chance at all. Shady Posted August 5, 2014 Report Posted August 5, 2014 Why continue with this strawman? Nobody has denied some of these tunnels are used for military purposes. Not some, most of these tunnels, and all of the tunnels going into Israel. Quote
jacee Posted August 5, 2014 Report Posted August 5, 2014 And what are Hamas prepared to give in return for their demands? 10 year cease fire. . Quote

WestCoastRunner Posted August 5, 2014 Report Posted August 5, 2014 Seriously though, when will Palestinians say enough is enough and take up arms against Hamas? Right now, they are struggling just to survive, stay under cover, prepare meals for their families, and keep their children safe. How do you propose they take up arms against Hamas? Especially when they will most likely be shot on sight if they show any type of resistance. Let's get real here. We are talking about thousands upon thousands of people looking for safe refuge against these brazen attacks (war crimes). Quote I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. WestCoastRunner Posted August 5, 2014 Report Posted August 5, 2014 Obviously. And necessary supplies for the people of Gaza. . Quite necessary supplies, fuel, food. Anything that Israel is blocking that any other community needs to survive. Hamas has taken advantage of these tunnels. No one is arguing against that. jacee Posted August 5, 2014 Report Posted August 5, 2014 Not some, most of these tunnels, and all of the tunnels going into Israel. Obviously. The infiltration strategy has been a rather startling new game. . Quote
GostHacked Posted August 5, 2014 Report Posted August 5, 2014 How many tunnels are there? And Israel is just discovering them? How does Israel miss hundreds of tunnels going into Israel? And if they did know about them, was anything done? Perhaps Israel was using the tunnels as well? Quote
