guyser Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 He's done this before? If so, good thing he doesnt play in Italy. And hopefully someone really does knock his teeth out. Can Zidane come back and head butt him in the mouth.....?..... Please ? Quote
overthere Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 He was suspended for 7 games in 2010 and ten games in 2013 for biting opponents. Both times it was by his league. I fully expect FIFA to do nothing because of his stature. He already has a guest appearance on The Walking Dead scheduled. Quote Science too hard for you? Try religion!
Boges Posted June 24, 2014 Author Report Posted June 24, 2014 Google Suarez and Biting and the Interwebs are already full of Memes BEFORE today. Quote
Big Guy Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 Exactly ! Pretty cheap of Suarez. If I were the coach, he'd sit a game. Suarez the cannibal was at it again. While he is the teeth of the offence and makes some jaw dropping plays he does get aggressive during a grinding game. He does have to shoulder the responsibility as the referees were ruminating a decision lest they gum up the play. The Italians did attempt to nibble into the lead but in the crunch Suarez was able to feast on Italian mistakes. It was a biting reflection on the Italian soccer program. Germany for the cup! overthere Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 I think that is an excellent post but let me chew on it for a bit. Quote Science too hard for you? Try religion!
Boges Posted June 24, 2014 Author Report Posted June 24, 2014 (edited) Well MLW, it looks like Luis Suarez bit off more than he can chew. . . Edited June 24, 2014 by Boges Quote

-TSS- Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 Suarez's prank seems to have totally hijacked all the attention and overshadowed the crucial fact that Uruguay won and sent Italy packing. However, if Suarez gets banned from next games Uruguay should be rather helpless against Colombia. Quote
Boges Posted June 24, 2014 Author Report Posted June 24, 2014 Another flop gets Greece through against The Ivory Coast. Getting ridiculous actually. Quote
Guest Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 (edited) from another site... Bettor cashes in on Luis Suarez biteWhen Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez apparently bit Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini, a man living more than 5,300 miles was awoken from a deep sleep. The man's name is Thomas Syverson, a Norwegian living in Trondheim, the country's third largest city. Syverson saw that Betsson, an online gambling site based in Malta, was offering 175-1 odds that Suarez, who had bitten other players before, would bite someone during the World Cup and, on a hunch, placed the equivalent of a $5.25 bet (3.85 euros) on the first day of action in Brazil. "I had 32 [Norwegian] Krone on it, so it was just for fun," Syverson told ESPN.com When Suarez took the apparent bite in the 79th minute, Syverson said he was awoken by a friend who texted him what had just happened. Sure enough, Syverson checked and the equivalent of $916 (673 euros) was deposited into his account for winning the bet.Andreas Bardun, sportsbook manager for gambling site Betsson, where Syverson placed his bet, said 167 gamblers placed bets on the prop. The biggest winner was a Norwegian who won $3,300, he said, but he cited company policy not to disclose any of the names of its bettors. Edited June 25, 2014 by bcsapper Quote
Boges Posted June 25, 2014 Author Report Posted June 25, 2014 It's a good prop bet actually. How about an Over/Under on obvious Flops that lead to goals at 4. There have already been 2. Quote
Guest Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 It's a good prop bet actually. No kidding. If I'd have known about those odds, I'd have put twenty bucks on it. Quote
Guest Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 For those following both the World Cup, and the British phone hacking scandal, this will be funny. Quote
guyser Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 i wonder how Suarez still has his front teeth? They should have been knocked out as time dwindled in injury time. I hope Uruguay loses and prior to that Suarez is suspended. Quote
-TSS- Posted June 26, 2014 Report Posted June 26, 2014 My suggestion is that Suarez is allowed to play but on condition that he wears a muzzle. Quote
overthere Posted June 26, 2014 Report Posted June 26, 2014 Another flop gets Greece through against The Ivory Coast. Getting ridiculous actually. Ivory Coast must be devastated by being cheated out of a future at the Word Cup. For those who missed it, Greece and Cote d'Ivoire were tied at the very end of the game. With a tie, CIV would advance and Greece would be eliminated. Right in front of the CIV goal a Greek player stumbled over his own feet and a penalty kick resulted in a Greek win as the game ended right after. Replays clearly showed that the CIV player never touched the Greek player, much less committed a foul that warranted penalty kick. At the highest levels, soccer is a joke. guyser Posted June 26, 2014 Report Posted June 26, 2014 8 games....pffft. Not enough. However, knock his ******* teeth out + 8 games....Id be happier Quote

While I do not think it is a joke it is sad at how many games are decided by a referee call that is later shown to be wrong. I have a soccer officiating question; Team A is advancing past the center into Team B territory. A member of Team B makes a vicious tackle on member of Team A (worth at least a yellow card) but the referee plays the advantage (does not stop play) since Team A maintains possession and then scores. Can the offender on Team B - the one who made that tackle - be given a yellow after the goal? -TSS- Posted June 26, 2014 Report Posted June 26, 2014 Here in Finland a TV-commentator described the German win over the USA by saying "arbeit macht frei". Well, even though there was no malicious intent whatsoever it was pretty poor judgment to make such a remark. In Germany or Austria he would be out of the job and perhaps facing prosecution. Such a sensitive issue the holocaust is that even sarcastic humour on it is frowned upon. Quote
Boges Posted June 26, 2014 Author Report Posted June 26, 2014 Had to Google that. Wasn't Finland an Ally of Germany? Tisk Tisk. Quote
-TSS- Posted June 26, 2014 Report Posted June 26, 2014 In 1941-44 yes but in the winter war of 1939-40 no. The tv-commentator's remark was prompted by an earlier interview of the German star Thomas Mûller where he said that they worked very hard to get the victory but all that effort finally paid off.
