Topaz
I like to wish everyone on here a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, also one to Greg and Charles, whom I've had differences in opinion, but its the holidays and a new year and new beginnings, hopefully, peace on Earth. kimmy
Some people might imagine that Christmas for atheists is unfulfilling or even depressing. However, as this heartwarming song and video demonstrate, Christmas can be spiritually uplifting for atheists as well. -k Edited December 25, 2013 by kimmy
BC_chick
I spent Christmas Eve drinking wine with my very conservative friend and listened to him go on and on about the war on Christmas. (Eye-roll) He believes christmas is the birthday of Christ and should only be celebrated as such. A few minutes later when topic inevitably turned to multiculturalism (and how Trudeau single-handedly ruined Canada by letting us heathen immigrants in), he said multiculturalism fails because immigrants don't become Canadian enough like his family did back in the day when real Canadians were coming to this land. So, IOW, if we adopt the culture it's war on his traditions and if we don't, we're ghettoized. Talk about a lose-lose situation. He never did explain why Harper and Mulroney didn't reverse Trudeau's Canada-destroying policies but I wished him happy holidays anyway. Hahaha

BubberMiley
The first rule of this forum is that no one is allowed to talk about the things Shady doesn't want to talk about. He sets the topics and, obviously, the tone of the debate in these parts.

Shady
I want 3 minutes of my life back. That was awful. Very true. But for some reason we need to learn how persecuted atheists in America celebrate Christmas. They're very put upon this time of year. And they need to make sure everybody knows it. Because, um, other people might be enjoying the holidays.
kimmy
I want 3 minutes of my life back. That was awful. I'm sorry you didn't find it as amusing as I did. Very true. But for some reason we need to learn how persecuted atheists in America celebrate Christmas. They're very put upon this time of year. And they need to make sure everybody knows it. Because, um, other people might be enjoying the holidays. It was a comedy piece, not an educational video.
