Yes....it's true. The US has secret cancer weapons that can target pulsed mircowaves at individuals to cause cancer and other fatal diseases. This is effective when there is no hurry, otherwise the U.S. uses drones instead.

Well the big question.........Who's Obama going to install as El Presidente?

I don't know enough about the man to comment properly on his legacy, I'll have to do some reading. I'm sure the US isn't crying tears though.

His shoes cannot be filled. He is alone in his magnificent greatness. A leader, therapist, and healer all in one.

I will miss him as will the world.

One should realize that when the first four posts werent even remotely funny , the next group are bound to be equally lame.

Chavez was a dick. You can be a bigger dick if you only post a few more lame-o's about the guy,

Oh...I forgot....HAHAHAHA....

Pierre Trudeau would have loved him. He loved Fidel and Mao.

I'm sure "the US" isn't alone in that regard....

Prime Minister Stephen Harper says he hopes the death of President Hugo Chavez brings a brighter future for the Venezuelan people.

In a statement, Harper says he hopes Venezuela can now build a better future on the principles of freedom, democracy, the rule of law and respect for human rights.

I greatly admired him. I'm in mourning. Have a problem with that?

I wonder who Canada will send to Chavez's state funeral ? Mr. Jack Layton is no longer available.

Robert Pickton maybe. Or Arer or Khadre?

Do you dislike progressives so much that you can't take mourning for his demise?

Regardless of what anyone thinks of "so-called" progressives.. The post is still a trolling post. Period.

He was a great man, a humble man, a man of his people. He is in the pantheon of truly commendable and decent leaders, along with Abe Lincoln, John MacDonald, Mother Theresa, Albert Schweitzer and Jonas Salk. He delivered Venezuela into the ranks of leading and important nations.

He will long and sorely be missed.

I do sense the sarcasm, but really; Wasn't he a man of his people? You don't think he will be missed by many people in Venezuela? Didn't he and his policies bring Venezuela out of a really bad economic and social situation?

The world lost a great man in Hugo Chavez today. Dead long before his time, at age 58, the death is tragic enough.

The death will have a major impact of depriving Canada and the U.S. of moral leadership. He should be memorialized with Montcalm, Wolfe, MacDonald and King as boosters of the Canadian spirit. Canadians will be profoundly shocked and depressed.

Hugo Chavez, by all accounts, was a monomaniacal dictator - he was probably a psychopath.

Why should I care about his death?

No need for f35s as the 2024 war is off now that Chavez is gone. ;)

There's a commie hiding under every bed didn't you know?

Stalin, Hitler, Napoleon, Cromwell, Chavez, Castro, Mugabe - what's the difference.

They were all psychopaths.

I admire Thatcher because she noted that England always opposed any European hegemony.

castro is still alive. not to say that a puritan was a psychopath, let alone Catholics like Castro and Chavez.

Napolean was highly respected. So too was hitler and stalin.

You just seem to be anti socialist, but know who else is socialist. Barack Obama. Do I see him in that list?

Castro is a very great Man, so too is Chavez for social reforms. Stalin was the head of the rise of Russian industry. Napolean brought a semblance of the first national democracies. These are great men. They may have their mars but so to do people like Bush with supporting torture and human rights abuses, Stephen Harper with making idle no more, and Israel with non proportional force.

ps castro has a twitter account but you can't use it if you want to travel to the US.. hold on did Twitter break the embargo?

I do not respect your opinion on this. You are here for 20 posts so far (unless you are a sock puppet for a banned poster) and haved no idea who I am or how I post.

The new interim leader is blaming the Capitalist Pig-Dog United States for giving him cancer several years ago………..

He is not the only one. I was xray scanned by the US too.. maybe they gave me cancer too? sad.png

Western propaganda surely worked against him for not bowing to the interests of the corporatocracy.

Right now, I'm sure the western corporatocracy is drooling at the prospect of getting operatives in to try to ensure a favourable, corrupted candidate can replace him.

I hope Venezuelan's get a new leader that will work for their own interests.

Ideology does not make good policy. Good policy comes from an analysis of options, comparison of options and selection of one option that works best in the current situation. This option is often a compromise between ideologies.

Chavez did a lot of things "for the people", but eliminating corruption sure wasn't one of them. Corruption actually got much worse, as Chavez's main objective was to remain in power as long as he lived, which turned out to be much shorter than he thought. Cue Alanis ironic tune.....

Economics trumps Virtue.

From what I've read, the crime rate soared under Chavez. Certainly he wasn't loved by all Venezuelans. And for the record, I believe he blamed the US and its allies for his cancer. Canada is implicit in the evil deed.
