GostHacked Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Not talking about reporters, more the opinion pieces, cover photos etc. Ford deserves every bit of the attention. Positive and negative. M opinion of him is no better than what you are seeing out there. Quote
Spiderfish Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Spiderfish, the media didn't hold Ford down and pour booze down his throat or coke up his nose. No they certainly didn't. But at least you are now acknowledging that Rob Ford is "sick and lame". I am. It was the proof that did it for me. And this is attractive ... The woman "said I wanted to eat her py," Ford said before cameras. "Ive never said that in my life to her. I would never do that. I'm happily married. I've got more than enough to eat at home." Oh I'll bet his wife is thrilled to hear that! Definitely cringe-worthy. This falls under my original premise that the guy needs to shut up, the hole he dug is big enough already. I am wondering if he is using such increasingly desciptive and offensive language to illustrate the gutter that the rhetoric and allegations against him have reached. Or maybe he's just off his rocker. Regardless, it doesn't help his cause. Quote
jacee Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Not talking about reporters, more the opinion pieces, cover photos etc. They held Ford down and poured booze down his throat and blew coke up his nose until he blacked out and did stupid things addicts do? . Quote
Boges Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 All I'm saying is that a friendly publication has been killing Ford, not sure why he's getting a show from the same organization. Quote
Spiderfish Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Oh yeah, poor Ford. I'm generally somewhat compassionate towards addicts, but there's struggling with addiction and then there's being an unapologetic user, bully and entitled scumbag. Guess which one Robbie is? He's both, just like most addicts. Quote
bleeding heart Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Hyenas need to eat too, in fact they look for the sick and lame. They are not really concerned about the mental well-being of their prey other than to assess the advantage they can gain. Well, sure...no one is principled except for the Rob Ford supporters. You know, like those who applaud his Hang-'em-High rhetoric against....drug users! And then wonder why he isn't received more sympathetically. Quote “There is a limit to how much we can constantly say no to the political masters in Washington. All we had was Afghanistan to wave. On every other file we were offside. Eventually we came onside on Haiti, so we got another arrow in our quiver." --Bill Graham, Former Canadian Foreign Minister, 2007

For real? You're not sure why a network that draw flies would put out a show by these two lightning rods? Quote
Wilber Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Ford now threatening to sue ex-staffers who talked to cops. I'll believe that when I see it. In order to sue successfully he will have to convince the court they are lieing. My guess is, if he went to court, a bunch more crap would just come out and he could do nothing about it without being held in contempt himself. Normaly I would say no chance, but the way he has been acting, he might be just dumb enough to do it. Quote "Never trust a man who has not a single redeeming vice". WSC
jacee Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 All I'm saying is that a friendly publication has been killing Ford, not sure why he's getting a show from the same organization. Because the media has no personal loyalties. Their job is to make money on newsworthy people and events. Now the RoFo train wreck will be televised! Will Rob be drunk on tv? How long will it take bro Doug to figure out he doesn't have to lose his own career defending his bro? Stay tuned to ... 'As the Ford turns' ! . Quote
jacee Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 I am wondering if he is using such increasingly desciptive and offensive language to illustrate the gutter that the rhetoric and allegations against him have reached. Oh I think Rob Ford is well acquainted with the gutter. Quote

Boges Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 I love this! http://www.thestar.com/sports/argos/2013/11/14/cfl_reacts_to_rob_ford_in_argos_jersey.html “The Toronto Argonauts organization is not in a position to comment on the manner of dress of public officials,” reads the team’s official statement. “The situation with respect to the Mayor and his leadership is unseemly at best. These latest remarks, while wearing our team’s jersey, are particularly disappointing given our organization’s work in the community to help youth deal with issues of bullying prevention. We hope for the benefit of the wonderful citizens of Toronto and this great city that this situation is resolved expeditiously.” Quote
Spiderfish Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 You mean the gutter he climbed into and rolled around in? Good lord. Good lord indeed. I'm not sure how much more the story can be torqued, I guess it depends on how many more skeletons we can coax out of Fords closet and/or how big our imagination is. Maybe someone can find a picture of him going down on some black eyed bulgy headed alien in a secret lab in Roswell. Quote

jacee Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 (edited) Here's the facts on Ford suing people for their police statements: http://www.nationalpost.com/m/wp/blog.html?b=news.nationalpost.com/2013/11/14/rob-ford-launches-legal-action-over-prostitution-and-crack-claims-in-profane-media-scrum " Unfortunately I have no other choice, Im the last one to take legal action, I cant put up with it anymore. Ive named the names, legal action will start shortly, Ive had enough. The statements made to police in the course of a police investigation are protected under Canadian law from defamation actions under the defence of privilege. The principle behind the defence is that the justice system would not be able to function if witnesses faced civil action over statements given to investigators. Information contained in certain court documents, such as an Information to Obtain a search warrant, is also privileged. However, witnesses who provide false statements to police could face criminal charges such as obstruction of justice or perjury. So Ford is making threats about suing but obviously he hasn't even consulted his lawyer on that as it's clear he can't sue people for their sworn statements to police. If they're lying, it's still a police matter. . Can someone - his brother? - please explain to Rob what a 'blackout' is? He might not remember some things he said and did ... but others do. . Spiderfish Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Is that a lame attempt to suggest that his staffers were lying under oath to the police? Relax. I wasn't suggesting anything other than the level of absurdity this story has reached. Quote
