WestCoastRunner Posted March 2, 2014 Report Posted March 2, 2014 "On Friday night, a Mardi Gras parade float featuring a larger-than-life replica of Mr. Ford smoking a crack pipe drew attention as it rolled through the streets of New Orleans on Friday. The float, which also featured caricatures of singer Justin Bieber and actress Pamela Anderson, took part in the annual Krewe d’Etat parade. What, no caricature of Celine Dion! She is a current event in Vegas, I think she belongs on this float. Quote I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life's a bitch. Topaz Posted March 2, 2014 Report Posted March 2, 2014 I heard on the news Rob ford is going to the Oscars tonight. He must not have a DUI or he wouldn't be able to get in and out of the two countries. Quote
Rue Posted March 2, 2014 Report Posted March 2, 2014 (edited) West Coast its hard to make a bony float.Celine is not exactly float material. I amnot sure what is sicker, Ford and his psychotic enabling brother or the media that feed off his illnesses and feed them with attention. He's no hero. He's a sick man. To show up at the Oscars shows he thinks he is some kind of famous celebrity. He is as delusional as is Hollywood and their phony hip smarmy let's make fun of him he's so stupid he doesn't get it crap talk show hosts.. Jimmy Kimmel is hilarious making fun of himself with Mat Damon. On his one though he is just trying to top his competitors on a story they all laugh at by using false praise to sucker him onto his show to make fun of him. Jimmy will be the first acting all sanctimonious and shocked when they find Ford del in some hotel. The vultures are circling round and feeing on his self destruction. It is morbid. Ford's running his campaign in the international media and talk shows, because he's boycotting all the Toronto media who said he should step down, reported the truth about him, etc.. Quote
guyser Posted March 3, 2014 Report Posted March 3, 2014 The only federal Tory who supported Ford is Flaherty and even he won't discuss him now....and PM Harper, Parm Gill (who?), Rajotte, McKay, Ambrose, Fantino Quote
guyser Posted March 3, 2014 Report Posted March 3, 2014 Ford was on Kimmel! Way to go Robby!! Alledgebly he was on Kimmel you mean? Not one person has vented the tape to know if he was or wasnt, that it wasnt perhaps an imposter No one saw them in the same frame from the non-existent video....right Shady? Quote
On Guard for Thee Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 He's there tonight, I can't wait. I'm imagining something like a segment from WWF Quote
Black Dog Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 Ford was on Kimmel! Way to go Robby!! Wondering how getting mocked in front of millions is a positive, but for some people any attention is good attentions. Quote
Boges Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 From what I heard, it was a case of people laughing at him, not with him. He must just loves the attention. That being said, Kimmel's obession with Ford is a bit weird. Quote
Black Dog Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 From what I heard, it was a case of people laughing at him, not with him. He must just loves the attention. As with most things RoFo, I bet this goes back to his well-documented Daddy issues. Thinking Doug Sr never had much time for his screwup youngest kid, Robbie just happy to get noticed. That being said, Kimmel's obession with Ford is a bit weird. Good for Canadian ratings I suppose. Quote
BubberMiley Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 That being said, Kimmel's obession with Ford is a bit weird.Where have you been? For years, late-night comedians have been latching onto material like this and not letting go until the last possible punch line is squeezed out of it. They were "obsessed" with the Monika Lewinsky scandal for years. I can see how some Canadian conservatives would prefer they just forgot about Ford altogether though, especially after they spent so much time defending him. They didnt, presumably Quote

Mighty AC Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 After seeing Kimmel video I feel embarrassed for Toronto. I don't even live there but it's a great city. I can't imagine how residents feel. He reminds me of a manic, crazy, Charlie Sheen after the split from Two and a Half Men. Maybe the best thing for him and Toronto would be a health scare that forces him to take some time away to rest and clear his head. BubberMiley Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 He does provide fascinating evidence of the judgement of the Conservative base in Canada, especially by the fact they still support him. He's a warning to anyone considering voting for a conservative politician anywhere. Quote "I think it's fun watching the waldick get all excited/knickers in a knot over something." -scribblet
Boges Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 He does provide fascinating evidence of the judgement of the Conservative base in Canada, especially by the fact they still support him. He's a warning to anyone considering voting for a conservative politician anywhere. Doug Ford wasn't encouraged to run for the Provincial PCs so I'm not sure about that. He's political kryptonite for conservatives right now. Sure initially when his popularity was high, that's the banner he used but from the analysis I've heard, the recent behaviour of Ford is more populist than "Conservative". Sure he says he wants to reduce government waste but evidence is he hasn't really done a whole lot accomplish that goal. Also a lot of his earlier successes can be attributed to the work of former deputy mayor Doug Holyday who jumped ship and won a seat in the Ontario legislator under the Conservative banner. Quote

B's attempt to stereptype all conservative supporters as Rob Ford supporters is nonsensical. Then again some people need to smeer and attempt to make negative generalizations of an entire identified group and assume to know what they all believe. Quote
BubberMiley Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 B's attempt to stereptype all conservative supporters as Rob Ford supporters is nonsensical. Most of them are "former" supporters who are quick to defend him when challenged. But looking at comments about him made on this thread from just a few months ago, I can see why the subject irks you. Then again some people need to smeer and attempt to make negative generalizations of an entire identified group and assume to know what they all believe.I don't believe you know whether I believe I know what you believe. Try saying that coherently with "typos." : : Quote "I think it's fun watching the waldick get all excited/knickers in a knot over something." -scribblet
On Guard for Thee Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 From what I gather, the Ford bros., and Stephen Harper are good buddies. When Harper gets booted from office, and maybe from the party, they could all get together and we could have a re-creation of that very popular humor show of the day, The Three Stooges. Quote
