By losing the finals the Canucks still finished ahead of all the teams that either didn't make the playoffs in the first place or bowed out in the earlier rounds. You think the Canucks are thinking "yay, at least we finished in 2nd place?". And do you think Tampa Bay or San Jose is thinking "yay, at least we finished in 3rd or 4th place?". (Do I have this right?) ---- I have a question for posters on this forum: How many players on the Boston team are Canadian? How many American? IMV, nationalism/ideology/religion should be treated as we North Americans treat hockey or baseball teams. In North America, Canadian fans shout for a baseball team (Toronto Blue Jays) filled with American players, and American fans shout for a hockey team (Boston) filled with Canadians. Imagine.
