Dougie93 Posted October 4, 2019 Report Posted October 4, 2019 (edited) Bear in mind that I have been to BC many times, my mother still lives in BC, she moved back. I used to love BC, up until about 1986 when it became a playground for the rich and nobody else. My mother can't actually afford to live there, so I write her cheques so she can live and die where she wants to be. Edited October 4, 2019 by Dougie93 Quote
Nefarious Banana Posted October 4, 2019 Report Posted October 4, 2019 A slight sidestep . . . hopefully it won't incur the 'Wraith of Chuckie' . . . . Wife took me out to dinner . . . Chowder House, Nanaimo. We walked in the door only to hear a great booming voice behind the partition. Immediately recognizable. The hostess greeted us and with a smile, motioned us to peek around the corner. Bruno Gerussi facing us, his lady friend with her back to us. He caught our eye, winked and smiled. Stage actor who could 'project' his voice. Elizabeth May isn't popular outside the lower mainland/VI . . . . don't think she'll do much in this election. Quote

Clearly was isn't popular outside of the Lower Mainland does not matter in BC. As I said, has not mattered since Expo 86 when BC was transformed into a playground for the rich which only they could afford to prosper in. Quote
Dougie93 Posted October 4, 2019 Report Posted October 4, 2019 (edited) My roots in BC go back to my great grandfather, who came from Ulster. He fought in the First World War, 72nd Overseas Battalion C.E.F. The Seaforth Highlanders of Canada. He fought from Ypres to Mons in every battle, survived the Hundred Days. Came back to Vancouver, but died in the 1920's of complications from inhaling gas on the Western Front. Cuidich'n Righ Edited October 4, 2019 by Dougie93 Quote

He's just a counter culture Millennial, Loyalist to the bone. Never the less, I was there on St. Clair Ave in 1982 when the Azzuri won the cup, he's envious. I'm a Cake tho, he's the Made guy. SpankyMcFarland Posted October 4, 2019 Report Posted October 4, 2019 If you’re running for PM or want to be the GG, then your loyalty to Canada alone should be beyond question. No party leader should be a dual citizen. Scheer was filing US tax returns so he was fully aware of the potential problem here. To say nobody asked him about it adds to the embarrassment Conservatives should feel over this. Quote

Dougie93 Posted October 4, 2019 Report Posted October 4, 2019 Even in America, the Prime Minister, who is the Speaker of the House, is entitled to hold dual citizenship. Only the Commander-in-Chief need be American born. Quote
Dougie93 Posted October 4, 2019 Report Posted October 4, 2019 (edited) It makes me laugh how Canadians priggishly invoke their Multiculturalism, then in their panic about the onset of the American Information Age Revolution, throw that under bus. Canadians stand for nothing, Canadians fight for nothing, there are no Canadians anymore. Just a nanny welfare state gulag run by cartels with everybody demanding handouts from the national helicopter parent. Can't abide a people who don't have the courage of their convictions. God bless America, God save the Queen. F@ck the Post National State. Keep your money, two nickel whore. I'd rather die than give you control. Edited October 4, 2019 by Dougie93 Quote

Canada is full of dual citizenship citizen's. I guess that the leftist liberal bought off Canadian media got wind of this and wanted to try and use it against Scheer somehow. Now he has been forced to pretty much get rid of his American citizenship. As examples, GG Julie Payette and once democrat leader Thomas Mulcair have dual citizenship. I wish that I could have a dual citizenship with America. That would work well for me. Quote

Their hero and boss Trudeau could have five citizenship's in his back pocket, and the alt-left liberal media could careless about it. The only thing that the alt-left media in Canada are good for during election time is to make Trudeau, May, and Singh look good and great, and to make Scheer and Bernier look not so good. Their biases and prejudices and their hatred for anything conservative always shows. Scheer and Bernier will get hard questions asked of them, like are you a racist, while the other three will get asked nice questions like how is your family doing today. The Canadian media is full of a bunch of deplorables. Bloody sad. Quote

It's for sure that the environ"mental"whackos here in BC are crazy about and love her. May is their hero environmentalist and socialist for BC. This is why BC will never become that great because we have a leader like May who thinks that trees and rivers and animals are more important than people. Jobs and progress? Who cares abut those things, says May. It's living in the bush for me. Just saying. Edited October 4, 2019 by taxme Quote
