Work with me here, our current Government declared a Climate emergency, their plan is to put some taxes on fossil fuels ,then give those taxes back to Canadians....  thats not a plan, according to Justin it is the best one in Canada , its Bullshit, meant to placate the green wing nuts......the greens want fossil fuels gone by 2030....but how can they make a dead line and expect to keep it, when there is no extra funding for research for one thing , no drive to do anything else for climate change..., those taxes they are collecting are not being used to fund R&D, or incentives to go green, your all in a bad dream if your hanging your hat on Justin's group of lairs to stop climate change.....

....last time I checked the greens are not going to make government nor are mays pipe dreams of being a coalition going to happen....So what plan are you stuck with....Justins, or maybe Scheers....   either way we are not going to meet Paris accord numbers, once Justin has his votes, he is going to give you the finger, just like the native community has received...

That is exactly my point.  To expound on it a bit, as you said, we cant just quit cold turkey.  But that doesn't mean we cant just stop looking for alternatives either.
