It is government and big business that is the problem. The government does not want to regulate the market (being a free and open Capitolisctic society) But it is the banks fault for knowing they are giving loans to people who clearly cannot afford the house. Living above their means. The banks know this, but lending happens anyways. It is up to the individual to know their limits and live within their means. To live above that, means getting a better paying job. This bail out is directly putting the price tag of this whole fiaso on the taxpayers themsevles. It is the government that is bailing them out, and it is taxpayers money that is doing the bail out. So the taxpayer looses twice in all this. They lost the house they could not afford, because of predatory lending, and they loose again because tax money is bailing out bad practitices. This bail out actually encourages banks to keep on the same path and same practicies. This in no way shape or form punishes the banks for the crisis they have contributed to. Also consider this. We can find 700 billion to bail out several large banks, but we cannot find the money for better education and health care. It is a task every couple months to appropritate money for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. This increases the US's national debt by almost 1 Trillion. Consider that the nationaol debt is already over 1 trillion due to the US's War on Terror. All this puts more burden on the taxpayers.

Even when the Taliban had offered to hand over Al-Queda persons, the USA refused. Afghanistan was invaded. Now that the Taliban and Bin Laden are hiding out in the remote area's of Pakistan, the US is now respecting borders and not going in to get the Taliban or Bin Laden. They do not want to upset an ally on teh War on terror. So, since Pakistan can be considered harbouring terrorists. They are not 'with' us anymore... correct??

Since we could not do Sharia law in Ontario, the decision was made to abolish the Jewish courts as well. I will just say that there is no room for religious courts in any country if there is an already established court system. Religious courts should not exist. We have one judicial system for Canada and that should be it. What if it comes between a Jew and a Muslim for example... which court should they go to?? The jewish courts or the Sharia courts?? Scrap them all. We are all one under the same law. Since we are making exceptions now, we are not all the same under the law. We are not all equal.

The main question you are all missing is this .. Does Canadian Law and our constitution/charter of rights allow a person born outside of Canada to become Prime Minister? If yes.. then this is a dead thread, and then we can go on her voting and track record. If no, then we won't see her in that office unless she is visiting the real Prime Minister.
