Who is Barack Obama?
GostHacked replied to JerrySeinfeld's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I won't. Because you will do it again, and then apologize that you are lazy. Whatever is happening now is most likely way beyond Obama's and McCain's good talents put together. They have to change the National Debt Clock in NYC. It does not have enough digits anymore. -

One of the estimates, pfffffff, when it is proven that there are over 50 cancer causing agents in cigarettes. Show me the proof. I don't see benzine, or formaldahyde, or carbon monoxide or, hydrogen cyanide in weed. The chemicals that are in cigaretts are just insane, however natural tobbaco may still be bad for you, but not as bad as the manufactured packages ones. -
Gun Control Doesn't work...Never did, Never will!
GostHacked replied to wulf42's topic in Political Philosophy
How's this for abstract. Threaten me with your knife, and I will show you my piece. If you still decide to come at me after knowing I am packing a gun, expect consequences. I can kill you with my bare hands, but I choose not to... although a mild choking might work. Well, consider that nukes/chemical weapons can kill on a much larger scale, not to mention large area contamination/quarentine ect ect. The clean up from a bullets takes a few cops, paramedics and a street sweeper. It might just be why they are termed 'weapons of mass destruction'. And tightly controlled in every country that has them. You are being dishonest in your argument when you talk about concealed wmds in someones pocket. There really is no comparison. Like my comparison to that of a butcher knife of any knife to the gun. Guns have been in our existance for some time, sure they are very advanced compared to those guns of old. But the gun was a response to the bow and arrow, or sword perhaps. And those weapons were designed to protect and kill if needed. Criminals will be criminals, and for the most part legitimate gun owners don't go gunnin each other down. -

Well she is not even running for office. I will call you out on this one .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfuyarWH2Ig "For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country, because it feels like hope is finaly making a comeback." There is the exact quote for you too damn lazy to do a 10 second search on youtube. Or it is because you did not want to prove you were wrong in what she said. And um, the economies are already drying up, if you go by the global stockmarket meltdown perpetuated by gross idiodicy and greed in the business practices. I don't think Repubs or Dems are to blame individualy, together with the lobbyists in and out of government provided an envorinment in the economy which could be big pay out or ... what we see now. However, I will say there are a few who are making big money on this whole so called crisis. They are already paying for Clinton's and George's, and George's dad's, possibly Regan, Nixon, back back back back... -
They are buying/nationalizing at least two banks that have recently come under huge fire. Freddie and Fannie. So if they are not buying up bad debt, they are buying up bad banks. It is to shore up those institutions, but taking a stake in the game as well. Yes, the government IS buying up debt.

Are you replying no as to the buy outs??
-
You'd be correct if Iceland was indeed socialistic when it comes to their money. They have a central private bank like most countries. Considering now that the US gov wants to buy up bad debt. And now the Canadian gov is looking at the same thing in regards to a couple Canadian banks. White Doors Incompetence across the board in many countries.

What about all the other drugs out there?? Even the ones that get prescribed to you by your doctor?? Walking across the street can be just as dangerous. You are being silly by just only brining up the pot not being harmfull. Angus It is interesting that he keeps on this, when most of the guns he is worried about are safely stored in millions of homes across the country. Forget the concealed weapons!!! Now those ones we know for SURE are the raving lunatics who want to kill people with the killing gun, because the only thing it does is kill. We might want to get him a foam helmet to make him feel safe... Or flack jacket and a good armoured helmet. Cause everyone that has a gun, wants to kill. -
Agnostic - someone who is not sure there is a god or not. Athiest - someone who does not believe any god exists. That is the difference. I lean towards athiesm myself, but since no one is 100% sure, we could all be agnostics. Because you will only know for sure that god exists/does not exist, is when you die.

Consider this. After Iraq was invaded and the army disbanded, there are nothing BUT 'illegal enemy combatands'. Afghanistan suffered the same fate. Create a situation where everyone other than you can and will be considered an 'illegal enemy combatant'. Only because there was not an official delcaration of war on Iraq OR Afghanistan, you can be considered an 'illegal enemy combatant' despite wearing a real uniform. And by that you are not guarenteed anything by the Geneva Convention. Works both ways. Or am I wrong? -

You could consider those adding machines early computers, however, with the technology now, problems will happen faster and cascade faster as well. And yet you replied anyways ... good thing you are not wasting your time on me. Doing the best I can with every new bit I learn. Actually credit is king. A great deal of us use credit of debit cards now and barley see 'cash' anymore. OHHH .. and another thing.... Canada. -

I would bet that polution from cities are just as dangerous to your health. I walk part of the way to work, and the exhaust from the cars/trucks is enought to make you sick. If you really take a look at your daily life, you can find many things that are not healthy for you. Vaporizers already exist. Which is much better for you, it vaporizes the THC to be inhaled. You don't get as much tar or other subtances that you do get with smoking it. Safer ways already exist. Much of the food we eat is not good for us either. Obesity is a problem that is busting at the seams. Smoking is also a very habitual thing for most. As is most drug habits. Some are way more detrimental to your health. Like crack, cocain, heorine, meth)It is theraputic in a way so sit down, break up the bud, prepare the filter and paper, make a nice roll. It is my way of unwinding my hectic day. Some people have a beer, or a glass of wine, or stuff their faces with twinkies. I have seem some joints that were an absolute work of art, it was almost a shame to smoke it. -
Dems Are To Blame For Financial Crisis
GostHacked replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Nah, I still stay Eff The USA anyways. My tune has not changed. I will admit that banking and business practices worldwide are gonna get us into more trouble as time goes on and more economies and countries are conglomerated together under globalization backed by the IMF and World Monetary Fund. Because of everything so connected now, (much because of computer technology making it easier for world markets to be connected) everything is so intertwined with each other, when one major economy is in trouble (like the US and like you mentioned Asia (Asia is a country? )and why were they in that mess to begin with?). You already wasted much time on me, why stop now?? Now you are moving into a socialistic economy when Government buys up the bad debt of Freddie Mac, Fannie May, and possibly more. Capitolism is dying in the US when Government needs to take over major finnancial institutions. You will have government issued mortgages for those who can barley afford it. It could be a good thing, but for what I can tell, Americans really don't like socialism, because for the most part it is equated to communism. If you want to compare Canada's socialistic health care system, to the soon to be socialistic housing mortgage market. Expect long delays, and your taxes to increase. Don't forget the Federal Reserve is a private corporation. The Government does not own it. -
Dems Are To Blame For Financial Crisis
GostHacked replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
You are a fool if you are not aware of how the current economic crisis in the US is affecting world markets. World markets are down an average of 8 to 10%. The UK and Germany have a couple banks that are in trouble because of the crisis (central banks are all tied into each other and lend to banks in the respected country). Parts of Asia stopped stock trading altogether to prevent a further downturn. Overall from what I can see, most markets that are traded worldwide are down on the whole has an average of about 8%. That is in one week, and now most markets are at their worst ever. Not so much kissing is involved here. But did you learn from your history? That might be another problem with old farts like you. But, you will tell me I am wrong... I hope. -
So how did it cause so much damage??

Legalize Marijuana and Prostitution
GostHacked replied to PoliticalCitizen's topic in Political Philosophy
I agree with you 100% here. If everything is legalized (which I support) then let the chips fall where they may. Lost your job because you don't have enough common sense to say 'hay wait a minute this could really be bad for me in the long run, then you don't deserve anything afterward, this includes access to health care ect ... make it an incentive and not a law. You are free to do whatever you want, but don't come crying to us when you hit bottom. I am a pot smoker. I smoke daily, however, if I was not in control of my habit, I would not be able to perform the job I am currently in. I would have been fired long time ago. People who don't have it under control will have problems. I did for some time. But I realized how it was affecting my life. I changed something. Many people lack this ability to take a step back and say 'wtf is going on'. People play the vicitm and say it is not their fault, or they cannot change it. You can, only if you want to. If you don't really want to, then you are stuck in a rut. IF you want things to change .. start with yourself. Then you will find things much easier. Amry guy says This man speaks the truth. -
So the system is flawed and needs to be reworked. lol\ No it is a stupid idea no matter what camp you support. The banks new it was a risk, but the payoff potential is what they look at. Gotta satisfy those shareholders too you know. Logic indeed. But why is the poor population growing and not diminishing?? Why is the Middle class getting pushed even further down to borderline poverty levels. The least people own the most money. Why do banks lend out money they know is high risk. Because high risk also can turn into high profits. JerryS It takes two to tango, you can put some blame on Obama for wating change for the poor, however, if you want to say the banks are innocent in this case, then your premise is flawed. McCain supported deregulation of the banks, and was involved in one of the biggest economic scandal of the 80s. And since he stopped his campaing to help with the crisis (which could be just coincidence that the baiul out plan was delayed by almost a week). To me, McCain wanted to save some friends in high places from the crisis. Stevoh You are 100% correct on this. There are many people to blame.

GostHacked replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Yes indeed. Are you PolyNewbie incarnate?? Then how does a bank create money? Remember, money used to be backed by gold, which is no longer the case. Fiat currency, fractional reserve banking, ect ect .. cyclic. Money is debt. Because you cannot do that for yourself. Pretty sad. -

You missed the point. And the point was, this crap has already been thrown out the window over 6 months ago. Fox's new evidence is just rehashed old garbage. This is what Fox is good at. Being the Repub propaganda machine that it is .. I can give you a pic of Bush and Prince Bandar holding hands. However for your Fox article, at least Fox has the ability to put two and two together. Since Ayers and Obama had worked on several projects together, chances are they would have had contact with each other. Even the Fox article you posted indicated that Obama does not share Ayer's radical views ... wat to debunk but yet still say it is a problem. You could not figure that out over 6 months ago? Is it because of new iformation that they were in the same room together. NO WAY !!! Let me quote more of that article If the sharp left leaning idology means better schools... then I am all for it. Just seems like he is trying to make things better. Which to you sucks ass.
