  1. Id love to have a few flags in my apt, or on poles. I'd need Canadain, British, German and a Polish flag.
  2. Argus Wrong. Not every country has a military. If Georgia fired the first shot, then Russia really has no obligation to pull out of S.O. Georgia would be at fault and no one can save them. Georgia should be punished for it. If Russia fired the first shot, then Russia must leave now and Russia should be punished. Since the US has supported Georgia in many ways (political - supporting the democratic government, economocaly - getting loans from the IMF and World Bank, which allowed them to grow at an astonighing rate for a former Bloc state, militarily - hardware/training) Did Georgia provoke Russia into attacking knowing that the US would have their backs? I don't think Russia is doing this to create the new USSR. All the breakaway states provided a good buffer zone for the US when they went into Iraq and Afghanistan. They are simply increasing their buffer zone as well. On both sides it makes sense. I am neither a Bush lover or a Putin lover. But both countries are looking out for #1, themselves. Simple as that. I am a poutine lover however.... mmmmm
  3. For a processor that old, that is really freakin impressive. Entry level for sure, but for only two processors, of that age, doing that kind of calculations is ... again impressive. PoliticalCitizen The MIG 31 is about as old as the F-18s. and 16s. Any F-15 could take that puppy out. The SU 35 is in many ways similar to the 29, but it is bigger. One thing I will give the Russians, is that they did make a foward swept wing craft. They used off the shelf Russian parts like the US did with off the shelf US parts. They also tried to make a Harrier type craft, The YAk-35.... but the design was seriously flawed. The B-52 has been in service for as long or longer. The TUs are nice, but the It makes it more expensive, but at the same time, the stealth technology works, which saves the expensive plane's ass. The b-2 siginature is about as big as an average bird. Radars don't look for those kinds of birds.
  4. Russia may just be testing waters. I do not know if they have developed any new military hardware since the break up of the USSR. The Mig 29, and SU27 are over 20 years old. The TU's are still mostly turbo prop bombers. Most of the Russian air force's planes are not stealthy at all. The US is way ahead on this curve when it comes to technology.
  5. That does clear it up to me. So often a bill's language will be misleading and confusing for many. If he is standing on a Pro-Choice platform, then I support that.
  6. I beleive we need to rethink how we use plastics on the whole. With that , rethink the recyvling programs, and what materials we use to transport goods. http://www.independent.co.uk/environment/t...pan-778016.html http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...0/MNT5T1NER.DTL http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=5524886 Vids www.vbs.tv/shows/toxic/garbage-island/
  7. Condoms break, not to mention people do stupid things. It is a good thing you have back ups, however, the information on your drive or network can be comprimised by something that is there that you are not aware of. I will guess you know a good deal about computers. And for people like us, problems like this are not hard to solve. However for the average user, they have no clue as to what can go on inside their computer. These are the people that are going to get nailed.
  8. One votes with a Yay or Nay .. not a 'present'. To me this indicated he was present during the voting, At the end of your articleit Quotes Barak So because it was not the same as the Federal Bill he voted against it. If he voted yes for the Federal Bill and No for the State Bill, it might be because the two bills are different in some way. EDIT Alright .. so he voted against it after the amendmants were put in to match the Federal Bill. There has to be something more here.
  9. Being a SysAdmin, it is stuff I have to worry about. Part of my job. Not to mention I have had a virus on my computer that I did not know where there. AVG did not pick it up, Sybot and Ad-Aware .. nothing. Even a few anti-malware programs did not pick it up. Only when I executed a program I use often did it make itself apparrent to me that my pc has a virus. Even viruses can come back after a fresh install. Also, I do have a couple tools that will allow me to read information of a formatted drive. Even with a new isntall of an OS on top of it. Come home from school one day. Boot up the PC. Do stuff online. One dude chats me up in my MSN list, (I did not put him there), he tells me I have a virus. I poo poo's the fact. He told me, 'you have 4 windows open, and I am going to close these two on you..... the programs closed. At that point, I thanked him for not trashing my drive, and disconnected the network cable and started formatting and reinstalling. You don't worry about it, untill it happens to you.
  10. I had a Dodge Shadow at one point.. I also brought it into several places. The best person I found was a former Chrysler Mechanic. He did one hell of a job on the car/engine. He had to replace the head+ gasket. Discovered a big enough crack in the engine block. Between the pistsons. Soon after I sold the car. Most of the repairs I did on the car myself. It only makes sense to have private mechanics licensed to use the proper diagnostic tools.
  11. Hmm you are right, FDR did issue it. Truman just carried it on. YAY CANADA !!!! http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=merkin But back to the topic at hand ... if you can, BC. I actually challenge you to get the topic back on track.
  12. Hitler took a huge gamble and lost. He had diverted forces to the south to capture the USSR's oil fields at that time. This delayed the attack on Moscow by a couple months. His supply chain was long and weak, and most German soldiers were not prepared for the harsh winter. Supplies did not get to them. This probably is one of the biggest mistakes Hitler made in the war. JBG This was a terrorist attack. This was not an invasion. DogonPorch Civil War... again no foreign invading forces. BC Everyone is paying for it. Everyone. M Dancer. When you have a seat at the UNSC and have huge veto power, all this means nothing.
  13. Indeed. I am more or less looking from a user's POV for that. American, Canadian, anyone.
  14. Actually you are being really disingenuous here. Again the question was not "hey did Canada have concentration camps?? Nope. The question was did Truman have concentration camps. I know this is lost on you. I have already accepted your apology on many occasions. I will do it again this time as well. But if you want to detract from the topic anymore, then I suggest just bowing out of the thread altogether. And the fact that you cannot stay in context or relevance, is proof you need to bow out now. Someone might think you are a troller . But I know better than that. I will guess that I am not the only one who understands your style of posting.
  15. You could unkowingly have stuff on your hard drive that you never put there. IF it is questionable material, then you are done.
  16. History is not made by the people who were right. It was made by those people that were left. Wars do not determine who was right, only who is left. The US has their view of the war. The Russians have theirs. Which one is right?
  17. Since the rest of the world really did nothing to prevent the invasion of Iraq. No one prevented the invasion of Georgia. Bush thought Iraq would be a cakewalk. It was for the most part, but the real challenge is rebuilding the country. Countries are alert, but only certain countries have the big stick. Countries with small sticks or no sticks at all cannot project any power or influence. Sure you will hear about the bitching, but it changes nothing. In the end the US and Russia will still be around.
  18. I am sure the overwhelming majority of people on that day knew , where, when and what they were doing when the planes hit. I sure can tell you. I was still in bed sleeping. Hell almost everyone knew where they were when JR was shot. Since there was no aired footage that day of the first plane hitting the WTC, there is no way Bush could have seen the first plane on a TV in the school as it happened. Most networks started to tune in moments AFTER the first plane hit. If all the newscrews were focused on the first plane (as it happened) that would mean, everyone knew about it and was ready for it. So what makes sense to you? I really ask you to think about it and leave the tin foil hat out of it. http://www.cbc.ca/documentaries/secrethistory/timeline8.html http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories....2674&EDATE= Such an interesting body of work. Hearing what firefighters were talking about, how the brothers got seperated that day ect ect .... I do suggest watching it.
  19. At the same time, Bush did not know that there were 3 different factions in Iraq as they invaded. Which shows his lack of knowledge for the Middle East. You mean there are different types of Muslims?? Executive Orders can be implemented that will essentially override the Consitition/bill of rights. I have heard/read reports of both nature. Russia started it. Georgia started it. Hard to really know exactly what happened. However, you don't place your military in numbers at the border unless you got intelligence that something is gonna go down, or that you plan to strike first to prevent yourself from getting hurt.
  20. I gave you a situation wher you clearly saw Bush do A, but a few days later he tells you B. That's no glitch. If you think I am lying, go look for it. Or if you want to wait a day or two, I'll get it all posted here for you. If you simply do not want to look it up, then you are done here.
  21. Someone wanted to know if there were concentration camps in the US. I answered with a Yes. It was relevant to the person who posed the question. It may not have been relevant to you, but you decided to respond anyways. Good job, again. But you skipped over that, and went to the Blame Canada stance. Weak BC... weak.
  22. The second you definately saw. The footage of the first plane was not released for a day or two.
  23. WWIII won't happen. Too many have too much at stake to "Risk" it all.
  24. http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/1998/04/01/starr.costs/ I am trying to find it, but from what I can recall the cost of the 9/11 investigations were... considerably less. http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/ti...=0&s=newest All sorts of 911 stuff there. Ask yourself this question: Which of the following is true A - We all saw video of Bush in a grade school classroom reading a book when a CIA agent told him about the first plane hitting the building. B - In another video, Bush said he saw the first plane hit the tower on a TV monitor outide the classroom. (The video of the first plane hitting did was not released/found untill a day or two later. That footage was done by a couple french brothers doing a documentary on New York's bravest. ) 'Must have been a bad pilot'. What is the truth? Don't wait for me to give you the answer, this one you must find out for yourself.
  25. Quite right. Some of the first reports indicated Hamas has captured a couple Israeli soldiers. Hezbollah captured a couple soon after. We know who got the brunt of the attacks. http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/08/24/...dier/index.html Israel simply chose who they wanted to retaliate against. They got two choices. Was it the right decision? Why did they not go smashing into Palestine before Lebanon? http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/878873.html Two captures in similar fashions garnered drasticly different responses. Why?
