Harper played the NFA to get them to shut up about C-51
-
Says the same Sheldon Clare that orchestrated the NFA’s response to the Moncton shootings and the Swiss arms debacle? The very same Sheldon Clare that got ousted from his presidency over “questionable governance”, then refused to leave? The same Mr Clare now running as an independent in this Federal election? That is hilarious.

Harper refuses to answer questions about why members of his current PMO are talking to witnesses at the Duffy trial.
-
I want to go on record as saying that I too refuse to answer any questions regarding that particular data. I also refuse to answer questions about the refused questions. And any intern issues.
-
So you think he should be more controlling of them then right?
-
Yeah, Shady. That's kind of his job. He should control the people in his office and stop trying to control MPs.

Harper resigns as MP today

A pathetic legacy would have at least been a legacy.

NO i meant the evil things, like taking the veterans to court for example.

Harper says NDP has "deep hostility for small business." What part of cutting taxes to small business and raising corporate taxes on big box competitors is hostile to small business?

Raising corporate taxes hurts small and medium size corporations. Stop pretending every corporation is Walmart. The vast majority of corporation are small and medium size businesses. You're going to severely damage the economy over silly and stupid ideology.
-
And like Mighty AC said, small incorporated businesses get a small business deduction. Hence, lower taxes on small businesses.

Harper's approval rating at an all-time low today.

Rev. Lovejoy: Everybody is saying 'Gabbo this' or 'Gabbo that'. But, nobody is saying 'worship this' or 'Jericho that'.
Lisa: Finally, our fist glimpse of Gabbo.
Homer: He'll tell us what to do!

livin' vicariously through the Simpsons!!!

“Lisa, if I’ve learned anything, it’s that life is just one crushing defeat after another until you just wish Flanders was dead.”

Harper's current "issues manager" confers with Chris Woodcock, the former "issues manager," at the Duffy trial and Harper has nothing to say about it.

He got rid of him. Now you guys agree with him. HAHAH
-
The Senate is an independent body. How did Harper "get rid of" a Senator exactly?
-
That's true and now that Harper has called an election, he, (and they) are back on the public payroll.

Harper's job creation record: 20th out of 34 OECD countries. Heckuva a job, Steve.

What's the strawman, Shady?
-
I notice Harper gets a little shaky, (or is that shady?) when Trudeau gets to his feet and quotes the latest IMF report. Then there's that 46,000 jobs lost last month.
-
Forget the snapshots, they're almost meaningless. The trend over the last 7 years has been lower net job creation than more than half the OECD. For a party that markets itself on Jobs and Growth, they're not doing much for jobs growth.
-
Harper's majority legacy? We're not an energy superpower. No new pipelines. No new trade treaties. And never once did he balance the books.

Harper's private security goons have overspent their budget by $23 million

State a fact--Harper's private security has overspent their budgets by $23 million--and the radical right loses their god damned minds. Brilliant!
-
The only people losing their mind are the left who do suffer from the acute onset of paranoia in reaction to CPC/Harper policies, and yeah, the very existence of PM Harper.
Psychological transference politically speaking is about assigning to others what you really feel yourself, or erroneously assigning your feelings/paranoia to someone else
-
Yeah, but how about that budget though? lol

Have conservatives seen It's a Wonderful Life, I wonder...

It would be interesting to know who called in the strike and why, ad why the coordinates that supposedly been provided didn't pop up prior to the attack. They got some 'splainin to do for sure.

Finally, the War On Doctors has begun!

well then he might be an idiot

How many campaign spending "rookie mistakes" does it take before people start realizing this is systemic fraud organized from the top.

I don't understand why Smallc has been banned. This is a bit ridiculous, considering some, rather most of the stuff that goes unnoticed here.

Okay, I thought if he was suspended he'd have a hard time PMing anybody, but I guess there are other options.
-
Everyone gets caught up into the debate from time to time.Smallc got suspended and he should have a better picture where the boundaries are now.
-
Correction: Smallc is suspended. Everyone that's suspended is now prevented from posting status updates and using the chatroom. For the record, I think this is fair, despite disagreeing with his suspension.

I like it when people litter their posts with "Zionist." It's like wearing a sign that says, "ignore me."

I've made a failure WRT my winnepegness? Have you been drinking?

Failure. You've got to be a proud pegger, my friend.

I honestly don't have a clue what you're talking about.

I like that they sing the national anthem at the primary debates in the US. It makes it feel more like a sporting event.

I said it at the time and I'll say it again, giving Obama the Peace Prize was a f'n joke.

Yes you can, fill your bboots. Wait 'till they elect Ted Cruz if you want a real joke.
-
What about me makes you think I'd have anything in common with Ted Cruz? You keep responding to me on these statuses thinking we're disagreeing when we're not.
-
I never suggested you would have anything in common, just comparing and contrasting. I happen to think Obama is anything but a joke, but the Nobel prize has no sway on that thought.

Yes, it's a good look for this party. We're ALL cheaters!

the sweetest part was watching Harper Conservative spokesman Kory Teneycke scramble to distance the party from the old geezer!

I wonder why Argus didn't tell us about the guy who tortured his wife's boss a few months ago. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3601477/Grisly-details-trial-fired-lawyer-s-husband-attacked-ex-boss.html

@ Squid, Green party's CO2 emission tax approach is far superior to the NDP's cap-and-trade approach. NDP's approach is basically the same but with higher implementation costs.

I'm trying to keep track of who I can rely on should there be a Zombie Apocalypse.

If surveyed Canadians don't even understand the terms "constitutional monarchy" or "bicameralism", how are we to have an intelligent discussion of Senate reform or abolishment?
