  1. Our crosses are not the same, not even close....there are only a few vocations in Canada that could order you to your death....and just because we all pay taxes does not mean we are treated the same or even have the same rights, nor are we fully protected under the constitution. Yes i chose the military path, what i did not choose was for my government and a large portion of Canadians to turn their backs on us after we agree to sacrifice everything for them.......Military is not asking much just to have the proper equipment to survive....and for some reason that is a battle ....But we can put tampons in the men's bathrooms, Did you hear Justin tell a combat vet who had lost his leg, he was asking for more than he could give ? Have you heard of soldiers suing the government to get care or benefits Canadians already enjoy....So we may all carry crosses but they are not all the same... My experiences in the military have made me judgmental towards the governments of all strips, and towards the left for the most part, but my experiences were shaped for the most part in combat or peace keeping tours....doing a job with half the proper tools, and equipment and seeing the consequences of being how being cheap, be it bloodied bodies of comrades, or bodies of good friends in plastic bags, you might become a little cynical as well...
  2. Ya i do know how long things take...which is my point here....The military has constituently never spent its entire budget not in 30 years any ways because of the time required to buy stuff....now give the military 10 extra bil dollars well past mid year of the fiscal budget and what do you think is going to happen...DO you think it will get spent ? ... and have you ever seen that much funding spent in a short period of time , ever? in less than 5 mouths ...I will give them the easy way to get rid of that much is a pay raise...which they did, but that accounts for less than half that 10 bil...there is no way the military or government could have spent over 5 bil for start to finish in less than 5 months....Not even carney could perform that miracle...I mean shit it took 20 years to replace a 9 mm pistol, they still have not chosen a x cross ski to buy and i retired in 2014.....and i worked on that project on and off for 3 years...
  3. Nope, i do have accredited procurement courses on section 32,33, 34 of the federal governments procurement, along with a vast array of other courses related to procurement, like green procurement, indigenous procurement , etc etc i also have experience on smaller National procurement projects such as the army snow shoe, and x cross skis projects...And while i was not in charge of any of them i was another cog in the wheel so i do have a fair idea of how the system works... And just a note i don't think any of the people that had a finger in the pie was an accountant or a degree in finance...
  4. I'll be honest with you, when your in the military your don't put much heed into what any politician or Canadian citizen says or does....the military is for photo ops, and to plant the flag in in some war torn country, help with a ice storm or two, occasional floods or forest fires...and a place were they can find an easy couple of bils to fund some other political dream...So it grows on you, the only people you can depend was men and women already in uniform....everyone else had lets us down to many times to pin any hope on getting any help with anything....So the answer to your question is No we did not lose our shit...we did our jobs, and earned our pay, and shut out everything else....because we had lost hope in our government and the people we defended to do anything constructive......It is not just liberal or conservative governments...but the entire country... No, your nothing like me, you can't be bother with checking into all the lies, because there are a lot of them...if it comes from the conservative or for that matter any source it has to be lies...conspiracies...nothing more...and it is a liberal thing...
  5. Why do we need to do business with China? are you saying we can not replace that portion of our trade....it represents less than 4 % BS, we have good product and I'm sure we can find a replacement..... So where is the red line here, or is there a red line at all, do we start a trade deal with Columbia, for drugs, It is a huge industry, how about Iran, Russia, why have we cut those guys off....If we are dropping all our morals and values for trade and income where is the red line...
  6. Why only 2 options....what about irrelevant, extreme left, This is your third option...crazy town....
  7. WTF....This can't be real, but it does explain a lot about those that voted for the NDP....but it is a huge red flag and why we still need mental institutions in this country...
  8. Funny how the left heads exploded after some one planted a NAZI flag during the convoy protest....and some how waving a Palestinian terrorist flag during a Canadian political party event is nothing to get worked up about...mean while the new leader is a jew, and he thinks this is alright....Yup some one left the door open down at the short bus factory and they escaped...
  9. Sure it's forecasted, kind of like the liberal budget.....and we are suppose to believe that for the first time in 30 years DND managed to spend it's entire budget plus 10 bil in extra funding....None of the numbers add up....
  10. That's not the point at all...If you have to lie and deceive taxpayers to get there what is the point...Or i should just be happy money is being spent on the military, sit down and STFU..... That guy your talking about did not include every other department in the government....CG, Emergency preparedness, artic highways and civilian infra structure, RCMP, the list is long but if the liberals can bend a rule they will....hence why we are so close to that magic number now...Because we adding in everything including the sink....So YA ,I am in favor of spending , but i also value the truth....i think the major of Canadians value the truth, don't you ?.... And in saying that there is not many leftist Canadians that really care that we spend 2 % on our military....the left really don't care what the final number is, which means they would be just as happy with 1.75 % or zero.... of GDP....the bloated numbers are for trumps sake not Canadians...I think once we start going above 2 % that's when the left is going to start to crow, that money has to come from some place and most likely going to come from a social program or two. Are you suggesting that you don't care about all the lies that's being told...I think most liberals don't care about any of the lies and deceit that this government brings to the table...
  11. 1.....my source document is dated October 2025....it is 5 months old or 7 months into the fiscal year and at that time DND still had .40 % to spend....which equates to billions of dollars , and in Aug of 2025 Government dumps 9 bil more into the pot...Historically DND can not spend their normal budget in time let alone an additional 9 bil...... when major purchases take years to complete... 2. Where do you think NATO gets its figures from....they get it from reports sent to them from the liberal government...The PBO office says those figures are not correct...not then and not now...because of faulty or misleading numbers sent from the liberal party....It is the PBO's office to monitor and verify all government transactions, they are the link between government and the people to ensure we the tax payers are getting what we paid for.....So ya those numbers come from Carneys government , NATO publishes them in their report.... How does NATO confirm anything do they have a person in the finance office or do they rely on what info the government sends them....Your making a claim you have no proof of....And your right nothing to argue over period... Historically for the last decade DND has returned almost 2 bil of unspent dollars back to the federal government, which is normally put towards a future major expenditure....So it is not spent....but will be spent in the future...to get to our 2 % of GDP that money needs to be "spent"...before it can be counted....now add to that an additional 9 bil dollars, it would be impossible for them to spend that in that point in time of the fiscal budget.... one of the easiest ways to spend money quickly is dump it into pay and benefits which does not even add up to half that 9 bil... Just a note on these contracts the entire price of contracts are not normally PAID OUT before receipt of all goods, or in increments for construction OR LENGHTY MANUFACTURE PROCESSES....So i doubt very much those numbers you have quoted would even count towards this end years budget. Like the F-35 we pay as we receive an airplane....it is not practice to pay out out front...normally payment of goods must be received before end year or it counts as coming out of next years budget....unless you can prove other wise...Flyer has done these transaction millions of times....I'm surprised he has not a said anything , I'm pretty sure the liberal government has to follow the same rules for purchasing as anyone else, it is after all them that make the rules. SO they can make all the announcements they want, it does not change the rules of government purchasing....You can not count announcements as money spent towards your % of GDP...
  12. Sorry we on the right have already had a meeting and we all voted on the all the things we consider to be the bane of society....basically anyone on the left, in fact after the vote we actually considered rounding up the left and moving them to BC, then building a wall. but most preferred Baffin island instead, as there is still good people in BC.... Don't worry we are including all the rich lefties as well we would not want to be call racist, or show a preference for one group or another....
  13. In what way is he different, he does not own a sock collection, nor does he have the hair....and to be truthful my sons pet gopher was better qualified than Justin....He certainly has a long list of previous jobs and qualifications....And not everyone agrees with his performance in those jobs...You may think he is cooperative, but still we have no trade deal with the US, and i don't think CUSMA is going to turn out the way we all think it is going to...and he really has not done much, except travel.... And the truth of the matter partisanship is a two edged sword....and your as blinded by Carney as any other liberal on this forum..
  14. Hard to kill the NDP, they are killing themselves, i mean might as well be the rhino party. Ands as much as i disliked Jagmit Sing he was light years ahead of all these turds in a bucket, what does amaze me is Canadians actually vote for these clowns with their new direction and plans for Canada....I mean one guy does not even own a suit and tie...WTF...
  15. It does matter a lot it equates to hundreds of millions of dollars, which could go to training , courses, recruitment etc,.....And while i do truly apricate all the extra dollars, Canadians want to be told the truth, we are tired of being told lies, Carney was suppose to be a much different guy " he is not Justin"....this is not the first lie he has told.....Now i know that may not be a character trait you aspire to, but it is one i hold on to.
  16. Flyer you do know this is a discussion forum, dropping your little red arrows does not add to the discussion, it kind of says your to lazy to reply...which I'm wondering why your here if not to discuss things...Or maybe you can't answer the questions i asked, no one knows because the red arrow says nothing...So are you to lazy, or can not comprehend the question...
  17. Yes it was forecasted....Based on what was actually spent to date, meaning as of OCT 2025 info...or do you think those numbers where just pulled out of thin air...and by some miracle you want us to believe that in less than 5 months they spent bils, that the PBO was not aware off... that is a stretch, first off the entire budget at the start of the year does not equate to 2 % of GDP, so where did the additional money come from....even the additional 9 bil does not take us to the 2 % mark....the next question would be what did they spend it on, what signed contracts have their been that would add up to the remaining bils ....... because in order to count it must be spent before march 31....forecasting or announcing your going to spend money does not count. IT must be spent , contract signed, before march 31 for it to count as spent... What it does show is there is a huge disconnect between official Liberal government numbers, and what the PBO office has...
  18. Was Chretien a liberal?, the author of the decade of darkness....ya he did a lot for the military....Which liberal are you talking about....and what did they do for the military.....was it Justin who told our vets you are asking for more than we can give...YA he did a lot for the military....Carney has promised a lot of things....and if he comes through then you can brag, but right now liberals over all have not treated the military well except when looking for cuts ...
  19. How so, they are not armed, or equipped to protect the country...nor is it being planed to be armed, or equipped, they do not play a role in defending the country, they can't even do a fisheries patrol all that has happened to date is they budget is folded into the militaries...to boast our % of GDP in NATO spending ... it is a political move that accomplishes nothing....
  20. The Liberal government has constantly added to what is counted towards the 2 % of GDP goal, going back a full decade, PBO office which has accounts for all government spending differs from how DND accounts it contributions towards NATO spending. PBO office calculates our % of GDP at only 1.58... Recent NATO Contribution Analysis (2025–2026) The PBO currently tracks DND's progress toward two primary NATO targets: This projection contradicted the federal government's own forecast of 1.76% for the same period. The PBO attributed this discrepancy to what it labeled an "erroneous" GDP forecast by the government, which assumed a four-year economic recession that significantly underestimated Canada's economic growthA recent analysis by the Parliamentary Budget Officer (PBO) in October 2025 projected that Canada’s defence spending would reach 1.58% of GDP by 2029-30. Parliamentary Budget Officer +1 Current Liberal government reporting has expanded in the last decade to include the following. When reporting to NATO, the Department of National Defence (DND) includes expenditures that meet the specific NATO definition of "defence expenditure," which often results in a higher reported amount than what is strictly found in DND’s own internal budget. In March 2026, it was reported that Canada met the 2% GDP spending benchmark for 2025 with a total investment of just over $63 billion. HillNotes +2 Core DND Budget Inclusions The majority (approximately 80%) of reported spending comes directly from DND and covers these primary categories: RBC Wealth Management +1 Personnel Costs: Salaries and benefits for members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). Operations and Maintenance: Funding for military operations, missions (e.g., Operation REASSURANCE), and equipment sustainment. Major Equipment (Capital): Purchases of new assets such as the River-class destroyers, F-35 fighters, and P-8A Poseidon aircraft. Infrastructure: Construction and maintenance of military bases and facilities. Research and Development (R&D): Costs for defence-related R&D projects, even if they do not result in final production. www.nato.int +5 Eligible Other Government Department (OGD) Costs To meet NATO's reporting standards, Canada includes "elements other than pure DND spending" from other federal entities: HillNotes +1 Veterans Affairs Canada: Direct payments and pensions to retired CAF members. Global Affairs Canada: Contributions to NATO’s military and civil budgets, and UN peacekeeping mission costs. Canadian Coast Guard: Activities specifically related to national defence. Communications Security Establishment (CSE): Cyber defence and signals intelligence. Shared Services Canada: IT support provided directly to DND and the CAF. Military Aid: Financial and military assistance provided to allies or partners, such as military aid to Ukraine. Parliamentary Budget Officer +6 Direct NATO Contributions DND specifically earmarks funds for direct NATO-managed budgets: Canada.ca +1 Military Budget: Supports international military staff and NATO's command structure. Security Investment Program (NSIP): Funds capital costs for communications and infrastructure like airfields. Common Funding: Canada’s agreed-upon share (roughly 6.7%) of NATO’s collective operating costs. Canada.ca +2 RCMP portions of their budget are also included... Relation to NATO Spending Targets While they are separate budgets, some portions of RCMP spending (specifically related to international or national security operations) can sometimes be included in Canada's reporting of total defence expenditures to meet NATO's 2% of GDP target. However, this is a reporting categorization for international comparisons and does not mean the RCMP is part of the DND's internal organizational budget I think the government has shown that it will grab at any opportunity to increase spending when there is no actual increase to the Military over all budget...but rather what is reported to NATO. SO while liberals are celebrating the news of hitting our 2 % GDP commitment, when it was them that had signed on to a commitment to reach this goal in 2014....to meet 2 % by 2024 ....to which they got close 1.42 % of GDP in 2024...and now PBO office is saying thats not true....that we are way short at 1.58 % of GDP...Who do we believe....PBO office, or a NATO report that relies on Liberal figures...
  21. Someone always profits from... Sounds like a double standard, we appreciate the US as the worlds policemen, but slag them every chance we have...and if we accept that we are a military support mechanism to the US agenda, we should get on with the job, we should have been first in line to volunteer to open the strait instead of being wishy washy about the whole thing...not the first time he has not been decisive... What values are those ? he is here now and he is support the nation in the process. Did you really think that Trump was going to do anything else wise....He knows we need them more than they need us.. and they have had enough of Canada poking the bear for a few voters points....now the bear is pissed off what exactly will that bring to the table...for Canada. it brings nothing....except contempt ..So yes now they are telling us , we are going to continue tariffs including many items covered un der Cusma and we will have to l give up most of the cartel tariffs in doing so...Come this summer they will rip up Cusma and Canada will be stuck , but at least we are headstrong, kind of hard to eat headstrong... You can hope Carney mentioned it , but i'm pretty sure that is to late.... He has put Canada and Canadians in the position we find ourselves right now.. So ya ask any conservative if they will stop picking on one of the liberals crown jewels....not likely...and not just justin, but also the voters that put him there...Sorry...it is not going to happen. There is lots i can do, by constantly reminding you that liberal voters are really gullible....
  22. Like you said the war is escalating, up until now most of Irans oil production and delivery systems have been left alone, i think you might see these hit in the future....Iran is still exporting 65 % of their oil production, and at this new world price they are still benefiting from these sales... Thats my point , we have always been quick to judge any US actions, in fact we have made it a national sport of sorts, it is easy to sit in the generals chair and judge anyone...while we sit here enjoying all these social programs, while Americans don't have a choice lacking those same programs, being the world policemen means constantly equipping a huge military.. That's another problem with Canadians we are very head strong, and refuse to listen to anything except what has been approved by the liberal party...Poilievre was very respectful of Carney, and did no finger pointing during the conversation....something Carney needs to learn...Your right the message is to powerful for you to hear anyways...you might even be a convert... What we want is free trade without any tariffs... Well thanks for the permission, i mean you guys talk the Sh1t about him for 10 plus years....and now that he is the worst PM ever, and has given the liberals a black eye suddenly you don't want to hear any of it...that's not how this works.. you need to step up and own that stuff...even the bad stuff...
  23. I'm sure that these ships will be paired with other more modern ships....The important piece here is opening up the straits to allow trade to flow, and to participate in a global crises trying to earn back respect for our country and military, which is not that great at this time. I've seen the result of NOT having modern equipment , and the ones that pay for those poor choices are very young men and women...
  24. Yes history will judge him....but lets not pretend Iran needed to get their face pushed in, they been asking for it for decades now....lets concentrate on that.... Well one day when Canada grows a pair and becomes the worlds policemen, then we to can do what ever is in the best interest of the US....Until then if Canada is not going to uphold to those laws and conventions we should pull our signature out of those agencies...Well he learned that from Carney and his stance on Iran...he changed his mind 4 times in less than a week...must be something in the water. Watch the podcast and find out what the plan is...Carney has already given Canadians lots to talk about very little of it is good....and we are NOT going to forget Justin for at least another 10 years...and we are going to rub that in liberal voters faces for about the same time... Ya nice resume, same team , same faces , same id!ots from Justin period...just a new captain....who was an advisor to Justin for years....
  25. Well if the left haven't made thoise policies the right would not have anything to complain about.... The left are not that bright Crack hoe....you've proven that with your posts over and over again... Men do not belong in women's bathrooms or change rooms period ...it is really that simple, why do you think we have separate washrooms in the first place...would you want some man taking a crap in the next stall from you....how about a man changing in the locker room or sharing a shower...Canadians are not ready for that kind of freedom yet...maybe in Europe...but not here... I can tell you this Karen, if a man tried to enter the women's bathroom when my wife ,daughter or grand daughter were in there there would be a scene, and if they persisted it would get physical, that is no doubt...you can call me what ever you want....but we are talking about my family.....and i would do anything to protect them form any perceived threat... Off her meds again
