  1. I would like to see how our military spending budget is allocated. How much goes to hardware, training, and how much goes to upkeep, DEI, tampon dispensers and so on.
  2. 'Hate' is a pretty strong word, and people use it every day, often in a lighter way. When average Canadians say 'I hate Carney' or 'I hate Poilievre', I take it that it's actually closer to 'dislike' rather than actual 'hate'. I doubt that when people say this, they would like to see harm come to them most of the time. I think real hatred is stronger on the left, judging from all those people that cheered when Charlie Kirk was murdered, or when Trump got show, disappointed only that he survived. These people chanting 'death to America, Israel, or Canada', they mean what they say. All law abiding Canadians should be very concerned about this kind of thing. When critics say there are a number of concerning things in some of the bills the Liberals are trying to pass with regards to free speech and so on, I think they should be discussed. I don't want Canada to end up like the UK, with cops arresting people for mean tweets.
  3. I'm not a lawyer but I do believe that protesters chanting 'death to so and so' should at least be discussed openly and how un-Canadian it clearly is. If that doesn't meet the threshold of hate speech, then what does? The IRGC is one of the most brutal regimes on earth and any reasonable Canadian should demand to know why the Liberals are letting these kinds of people in. It's clearly a bad idea to welcome in people that hate us.
  4. Those would be the types that openly call for jihad on Canadian streets. It seems they have nothing to fear from Canadian authorities while they scream these hateful chants. They know this government won't do anything to them and the risk of deportation is pretty slim at best.
  5. But what about the topic at hand, namely that IRGC members and other various jihadi types are having an easy time entering Canada?
  6. More open calls for jihad on Canadian streets. How can anyone defend having these people in Canada?
  7. Looks like he brought his two wives with him of course. Apparently the government response as to why they aren't being deported is because of the difficulty getting flights to Iran. A lie of course, since they weren't being deported even when there were no problems getting flights. The most important consideration for the Liberals is the votes, since the majority of these people are going to vote for that party. 'Muslim values are Canadian values' according to Carney, even IRGC values now.
  8. No surprise that this is happening since we arguably are the easiest country in the world to enter. I suppose from the Liberal's perspective, IRGC members vote too. Utterly pathetic that some Canadians think this is a laughing matter.
  9. Leftist are a strange bunch. They are usually hard-core when it comes to forcing their 'values' on us, but they become quite meek when Islam enters into the conversation.
  10. Well they did get some things. https://archive.ph/xcQdc#selection-3801.0-3827.292 What the floor-crossers got in return New titles, free trips, and tighter control of the millions flowing into their ridings While there have been more than 100 MP floor-crossings since Canada’s 1867 founding, the circumstances have never looked quite like this. In any prior instance where multiple MPs shifted party loyalties in a short period of time, it was almost always because of a seismic political issue such as First World War conscription or Quebec separatism. But in this case, all four floor-crossers gave vague reasons for the move, if they even tried to explain it at all. Idlout’s statement, issued by the Liberal Party, explained her switch as endorsing “strong and ambitious government that makes decisions with Nunavut — not only about Nunavut.” We'll likely never know if there was a little something extra for Lori Idlout, such as extra leniency for her son.
  11. "Yes we find opinions contrary to our own aggravating and we don't like it" Fixed it for you.
  12. 30 Canadian soldiers suffer frostbite during Arctic exercise. I have heard stories in the past about the poor quality or lack of proper equipment for our soldiers so this reinforces the narrative about government neglect for the men and women serving this country. Department of National Defence spokesperson Nick Drescher Brown said ”the nature of the injuries was consistent with those expected, both in type and severity, during major operations in the North.” But soldiers said the incident showed poor planning and leadership and inadequate equipment. https://torontosun.com/public-service/defence-watch/canadian-army-soldiers-frostbite-arctic/wcm/6353b1d3-3adb-414b-99df-3287c6e26252
  13. Obviously, not all money in the defense budget goes towards weapons and other hardware. But the question is, what percentage does go to new hardware or any kind of combat upgrades? Also in that article it mentioned $1.5 million for indigenous reconciliation initiatives. How much money is wasted on things like tampon dispensers in men's washrooms for instance?
  14. Canada lost 84,000 jobs in February as unemployment rate edges higher Full-time workers experiencing chronic, long-term unemployment is now higher than during the pandemic https://torontosun.com/news/national/canada-unemployment-rate-higher-february-jobs-lost I wonder if someone is going to downvote this post and the link that is provided?
  15. Funny how you guys on the left always react with anger when you read something you don't like.🙂
  16. Apparently this occurred back on March 1st but I haven't seen or heard anything about this until this morning. Our Prime Minister has not disclosed this information to the Canadian public until he was asked about it at a press conference. Thankfully, no personnel were injured from this attack. https://archive.ph/t49fk#selection-2159.0-2163.160 Conservatives demand answers after details of Iranian missile attack on Canadian base in Kuwait emerge Mark Carney demurred when asked on Thursday why he didn't inform Canadians about the attack when it happened: ‘I'm not the only spokesperson for the government’ OTTAWA — The Opposition Conservatives are demanding to know why the public was kept in the dark for nearly two weeks after an Iranian missile slammed into a Canadian airbase in Kuwait on March 1.
  17. Japan seems to be on the right track, but our current government is going to stay the course and likely will even boost third world immigration once they get their majority that they paid for.
  18. I don't believe the stringent rules for better gas mileage have been beneficial in that it's made a lot of cars less reliable than they should be given how expensive most of them are. The engineers are putting more stress on lighter parts in a nutshell.
  19. I see the difficult position that the auto industry is in relative to the amount of regulations that different administrations might impose every four years. Trump has either relaxed or dropped many of the Biden administrations mileage and emissions targets much to the relief of the auto industry, but they could all come back on day one if there's a Democrat back in the WH in 2028. Constantly shifting regulations means higher costs and uncertainty in the industry.
  20. I would assume that auto industry executives have a better idea of what is or isn't realistic, at least better than that of the Liberals. EV sales were 14.5% of the Canadian market in 2024, then it dropped to 12.1% in 2025. I know that the drop can be attributed in part to the dropping of big taxpayer subsidies for EV buyers but then why should they need these big subsidies in the first place? Honda is scaling back a bit. Zero Interest: Honda cancels 0 line of EVs, takes massive loss https://driving.ca/auto-news/industry/honda-0-zero-series-acura-rsx-ev-electric-car-line-cancelled-axed-loss
  21. And yet, the Liberals are sticking by plan that all vehicles sold in 2035 must be zero emission. This despite warnings from auto industry leaders that it's unrealistic. So they kind of are saying that EV's are for everyone. The last time I checked, the cheapest EV sold in Canada (Fiat 500) was twice as expensive as the cheapest ICE (a Nissan)
  22. Front runner Avi Lewis reminds of of Zohran Mamdani(no shock) in that he supports some kind government run grocery stores. I do hope that after the leadership vote, the NDP will be able to eat into the Liberal support. Lewis is fairly well known, at least among the other crackpots in the leadership race so perhaps that will eventually get that pathetic party back up into double digit support.
