Five myths about the oil and gas industry
ironstone replied to reason10's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Governments don't really bear any mitigation cost, it's the taxpayers at the end of the day. Like it or not, companies like Chevron have the right to provide information to the public. Profit is not a dirty word. -
Five myths about the oil and gas industry

Is Chevron.com any more or less biased than Climate Change: Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide | NOAA Climate.gov ? -
Bail fund backed by Kamala Harris freed man charged with murder (nypost.com) Here are the 'murderers & rapist' freed by Kamala-backed bail fund as 'domestic abuser kills driver weeks after release' | The US Sun (the-sun.com) Kamala Harris promoted fund that bailed out rioters, convicted rapist (alphanews.org) I wouldn't want to have been in the shoes of any of those people being threatened by Neely. Does he have a knife or gun? At the time, who knows? Is he hopped up on drugs? Who knows? Penny and others apparently put him in the recovery position after he stopped fighting back. And keep in mind, Neeley was not simply "looking at them wrong", he was actively threatening the people around him. Your idea that all someone had to do was simply hold him is easy to say when you weren't there. It's like those fools on The View saying police should always just shoot suspects in the leg. Much easier said than done.

Trump Loses $5 million in Rape/Defamation Case
ironstone replied to Rebound's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
E Jean Carroll also has another sexual assault case pending against another man. This alleged incident happened in an elevator. Yeah, nobody is likely to be getting an elevator at random are they? Carroll seems to be every bit as credible as Christine Blasey Ford. Writer E. Jean Carroll makes sexual assault claims against Trump and Moonves - CBS News -
Based on what I've heard about this case, I believe Daniel Penny should not be charged with anything. It seems like the other passengers that were being threatened by this guy (40+ prior arrests) were relieved that Penny subdued him. He wasn't just a harmless Michael Jackson impersonator as the media makes him out to be.

Trump Owns Kaitlan Collins on CNN Town Hall
ironstone replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I didn't watch it, just saw a few clips today. I did listen to Ben Shapiro's take on it and he felt that Trump steamrolled Collins. She apparently just mainly stuck to tabloid style questioning on topics most Republican supporters have moved on from. What a stark contrast from the way Biden was treated at his town hall style events. Friendly banter, softball questions. Most of which he surely had in advance. It is amusing that so many lefties are having meltdowns. -
More Voter Suppression efforts by Republicans
ironstone replied to robosmith's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
This might be the craziest statement made on here in some time. People can try to enter the US through legal channels, or illegal ways. Migrant border crossings in fiscal year 2022 topped 2.76 million, breaking previous record (nbcnews.com) There is no disincentive for those millions to stop trying to cross the southern border. It's not fair to those that have done it the legal way. And many of those people are at a big disadvantage if they don't have easy access to the southern border. Ensuring that the voting process is more secure is not voter suppression. -
I disagree with that, no surprise. I think it could be argued that many on the left engage in fascist-like behavior. Refusing to allow all sides to speak. Censorship. Avoiding debate. Using violence, like Antifa for instance. The political right does not engage in these kinds of tactics anywhere near as much as todays leftists. Pro trans or anti trans? I think it's just so wrong to promote the trans agenda which clearly targets small children. Your side believes it's perfectly normal but the other side calls it gender dysphoria. If a biological male believes he is female, why should we be forced to acknowledge that? I defer to Ben Shapiro to articulate this, as he is much better at making a point than I am. The fact that the mother of the little girl wanted her to have the Biden surname goes against that theory. Hunter Biden asks court to stop love child from taking his sullied surname (nypost.com) A DNA test confirms the girl is Hunter's. The optics of hanging stockings at the White House for all grandchildren except this little girl is certainly a huge snub. I wonder how it must feel for this child to be told her grandpa is President of the United States and why she hasn't seen him yet.

Apparently there has been a DNA test which indicates Hunter is the father. He got this lady pregnant while he was also dating his brothers widow. Hunter Biden DID father child with ex-stripper Lunden Roberts while dating his brother’s widow, judge rules – The US Sun | The US Sun (the-sun.com) Hunter Biden's ex-stripper baby mama was on his payroll while pregnant: texts (nypost.com) Isn't is sad that that Joe won't acknowledge this seventh grandchild at all? The Biden family is quite wealthy and this little girl gets left out, no birthday cards, nothing. She does not exist to the Biden family. Biden fails to acknowledge seventh grandchild at center of Hunter's court case | Washington Examiner The younger Biden had initially denied paternity and any memory of meeting the mother at the Mpire Club in Washington, D.C. A DNA test in 2019 proved his paternity, and Biden settled with Roberts for $2.5 million in 2020, but the case was later reopened. This is not the first time Joe Biden has publicly snubbed Hunter Biden’s out-of-wedlock daughter. For Christmas displays at the White House in 2021 and 2022, the Bidens hung Christmas stockings for each of their grandchildren, with the exception of the daughter Hunter Biden had with Roberts.

Ok, this has gotten beyond silly. Pro-fascist beer? Pro-trans beer? This thread is about an unbelievably bad marketing decision, not the first time for Bud Light either. Based on what's happened so far, AB is not going to back down from woke advertising, they're just going to pause and regroup. Good on those that say no to Bud Light. You guys are obsessed with the word fascism for some reason.

I don't think you understand the history of your own country. It is not majority rules. And when Republicans did win elections, they didn't steal them. I think you're referring to a place like Georgia where your side claimed the new voting laws would suppress votes, in particular, black voters. It did not. There was actually a higher turnout there. Would you drink Bud Light if Donald Trump was the face of that brand?

Dem Election Cheating
ironstone replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
When Democrats are caught doing something illegal or unethical, the normal course of action is that it will be covered up/suppressed by the DOJ and the media. You clearly would have preferred that this story had been hushed up until after the election. The Democrats and their friends in the MSM and big tech did not make the same mistake for the 2020 election with Hunter's laptop story. -

She did not get farked over by Comey. In fact, Comey bent over backwards and then some to minimize her "issue". -
Joe Biden called Hunter in December 2018 saying he wanted to talk to him after reading a New York Times story about Hunter's dealings with the Chinese oil giant CEFC Files on Hunter's abandoned laptop previously disclosed by DailyMail.com show that he struck a deal with the Chinese company worth millions of dollars The Times' 2018 story pointed out CEFC's chairman Ye Jianming had been arrested in China and his lieutenant Patrick Ho had been convicted of bribery Hunter accidentally recorded himself referring to Ho as the 'spy chief of China' After seeing the story online, Joe called Hunter and left a voicemail 'I thought the article released online, it's going to be printed tomorrow in the Times, was good. I think you're clear,' Joe said in the voicemail The message flies in the face of the president's repeated denials that he ever discussed Hunter's overseas business dealings with his son I'm pretty sure that Joe, aka the Big Guy, might be curious as to why Hunter keeps paying money to him over all these years.

Wouldn't this be an example of cancel culture, but from the conservative side? Let's be honest here. Cancel culture has been an often used weapon by leftists for years now. Why is it a fair tactic only if the left uses it? Top 10 recent examples of cancel culture - Washington Times How has your side reacted with anything that has the Trump brand? I can't recall if I have ever had a Bud Light in my life. I didn't know who this Dylan Mulvaney guy was until this Bud Light story went crazy but I would pass on buying that brand now. I would rather see these big companies concentrate on business and not social engineering.
