It is a socialist policy that was added as an amendment to the BNA act in 1982, by the worst Prime Minister this country has ever seen. I am proud of the History of Canada, but I am not proud of the damage the PT did to this country over the terms he spent in the PM's office. It will take many years to undo the damage he did.

This is not about men and women who will never be seen by their families this is about men and women who laid down their lives for their countrymen. By flying the flag at half mast for every soldier over and over it looses all meaning. We have a special holiday to honour these people, when we gather together for a day to say thank you, and remeber what they gave their lives for. But over time this has even lost meaning, its now just the holiday in novemeber to get a day off work. It is pathetic, next time you see a veteran say thank you.

This is shameful, if you want to honour those that have made the great sacarfice, go down to the local Legion find a vet and say thank-you, forget about the lowering of flags, and the showing of caskets, find a vet and say thank you, or if you know the solders family, thank them for their son or daughters sacrafice, it means so much more then just an epmty gesture. The publicizing of this from the media is shameful, they are just using the solders to sell papers.

Nice to see that people still have an emotional reaction. This tape is 16 years old, and until we see it how do we know what the context is, it could be one of those tapes taken at a roast night, we just don't know. The time to make a decision on how to judge this is when we actually see it for ourselves, not based on the media reports. If this really is as bad as it looks at the moment then this guy really has some explaining to do, and may have to cut his political career short.
