  1. mmmmm beer and popcorn ahhhhhhh
  2. If facebook is such a great indication why doesn't the NDP have more seats? Why did their popular vote decrease in the last by-elections?
  3. I saw nothing in that artical that indicated voting habits of those that use facebook. but the over 35 crowd still makes up less than 50%.
  4. by the way the liberals are center left th NDP are farther left.
  5. You have made it everyones business by bringing it into the forum through your advocacy for it. The facsim is very different from conservativism, and I don't much like being called one as I am a conservative. Fascists are totalitiarians conservatives are not, they favour less powerful government in politics, a loosely defined term indicating adherence to one or more of a family of attitudes, including respect for tradition and authority and resistance to wholesale or sudden changes. http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&pwst...on&ct=title But this explains very little a conservative. A conservative believes that wasteful governments are big governments. We encourage responsible behaviour, we believe that social programs should be ones the encourage help individuals become independent of the government and contentious members of the community. We encourage social assistance programs that hep people off social assistance and able to provide for themselves and contribute to their local community. We achieve these ideals through lowing taxes and rewarding those who work hard. We believe in limited government intervention, true capitalism, not corporatism (monoplies), we believe in balanced budgets, and returning tax surplus to the taxpayers who have been over taxed. We are the middle class of society not elitists. We believe in respecting traditions, but will change slowly over time and accept new traditions. We are the average taxpayers of a country that have no agenda of supporting vocal interests. We have believed in inclusion policies not exclusion policies. We are the average Joes/Janes of the world.
  6. Facebook is no great indication of anything, the majority of people who use it are of one or two demorgraphics and those are some of the youngest of our society, and lets look at their voting habits.
  7. The definintion that you use is changing, people are coming to relise where the roots of fascism really lay, even the encarta encylopedia is quoted "Fascist movements usually try to retain some supposedly healthy parts of the nation’s existing political and social life, but they place more emphasis on creating a new society. In this way fascism is directly opposed to conservatism—the idea that it is best to avoid dramatic social and political change. Instead, fascist movements set out to create a new type of total culture in which values, politics, art, social norms, and economic activity are all part of a single organic national community." http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761568245/Fascism.html You have your isms mixed up, must be all the pot.

  9. This I have very little problem with if there are avenues of recourse open to the property owner. But property rights still need to be added to the constitution.
  10. I don't know what this private reality is but it seems to be MR. Harper must be in the same one as the rest of the country or his approval ratings wouldn't be were they are. Although those approval ratings sure tell us a lot about the fantasy world that the other parties are living in.
  11. That would be rural Alberta, my taxes on 1/4 of land and 1800sqft house fully developed $600per year.
  12. I highly doubt that enshrining property rights would be a disaster. Why shouldn't I have the right to own my property, not have to worry about the government swooping in a taking it way. Corporations rise and fall, and they won't assimilate you. What you want will result in anarchy.
  13. At least you can admit that the conservatives are seated in reality unlike the NDP, Liberals and Greens.
  14. The word fascist brought into this kind of arguement means that this person has no other arguement left and has resorted to name calling to advance their point. Ignore on.
  15. What I ment was something that was newer, that could compete.
  16. Don't forget the over priced labor from the unions.
  17. With out property rights they can take it at anytime and give you squat.
  18. Hey you forgot to pull out the balls to brag that you had you name monogramed on them.
  19. You own it until the government decides that they need it, since property rights aren't in the charter, they can take it at any time.
  20. Harper said he would not ;pull the plug until the end of the mandate, and so far he's lived up to his word. The CPC could fight an election and win a majority right now. Go ahead steffi pull the plug, or are your MPs too scared to go because they are so close to the pention, and don't want to lose their seats until they qualify?
  21. Oh no that was ok becuase it was the liberals, but now when the shoe is on the other foot...........
  22. That wouldn't be an insurance policy, and no self respecting company would do it, as it would reflect very poorly on the company. It would even effect their Standard & Poors rating.
  23. You really have not a clue. The salvage is retained by the insurance company after the vehicle is written off. Then the insurance company sells the salvage to any buy. That is why you have to buy the write off back from the insuranc ecompnay if you want to keep the vehicle. As for the so called life policy, there is no right premium as it would exceed the face amount of the policy.
