There could very well be a few legacy members left from the CCF as those that would have been old enough to see a couple of years in the CCF would now be in their 60's.

So your telling me that the party of Tommy Douglas, a CCF member of parliment, and leader of the NDP didn't bring any of the CCF with him? David lewis the next leader of the NDP was CCF theorist. How many others were carried over from the CCF, they did exist until 1961. I would think that these two key people shaped those who suceeded them in the party.

I was thinking more like what is happening in Ireland right now. As for Ont. short term pain for long term gain. We tighted our belts here in the 90's put our economy on track and it worked.

It may have been 75 years ago, but that was what spawned the NDP, those were the principals that party was founded on. May of the people were at the heart of the CCF were also at the heart of the NDP and their legacy lives on through those that have suceeded them.

I guess no one remembers the acid rain that comes from coal generating plants. Just imagine all the extra coal generated energy required for these types of vehicles. And for those that talk the nuclear talk, just a little info for you nuclear power generation is less efficient than coal, and has the added bonus of a by-product that has a half life of thousands of years, can poison land and water supplies, and can make areas uninhabitable.

So why is it that around the world those countries that have the lowest corperate and business taxes are the ones that have the growing economies? The Conservatives are right on this, many of you don't remeber I bet but there was a time when that tax rates were up to 80% in Ontario, and you are heading for that again. Higher tax rates does not generate new business ventures, as a business owner would you set up a manufacting plant were you pay 5-10% more to operate, or do you set up in an area where you can save that 5-10% and pass it along to the consumer and be more compeditive? Just because you may have some of the best educatated doesn't mean you have the best common sense. There is a big difference between theory and reality.

Those who have a good case will be taken on retainer, by lawyers. It sounds like the laws put in place protected him, as he got a settlement. I bet this solution was a lot cheaper that all the union dues that your son would have paid over his years of employment.

I'm sure your son didn't gert fired because he was sick. That would be illegal in todays labour laws. Unions are no longer needed with the labour laws we have in place today.

So how do you know who it was? Your artical said nothing about any political party. Why is it that you act like this. Please post proof of your accusation. After you post the proof here you better call the police because your obvious skill at deduction are much better then theirs.

And if they contradicted what Donna Cadman said, you would call them liars, but you would not be able to prove it would you? Really the world would never know if what they said was true or not. It would be a colossal waste of time. We need to the government to function, and if the opposition doesn't like how the country is being governed they should vote against it. Defeat the conservatives in an election a form government.

Not really, there is no way of learning what really happened. The only person both sides would trust to answer the questions believably is Chuck Cadman, and we can't. I would like the answer just as much as you, but it is because I believe it would exonerate Steven Harper. It is not worth wasting the funds, the damage that the opposition wanted to make is done, because now there is doubt, whether or not PMSH wins his suit. The only thing left in the fight is to drag Chuck Cadman’s legacy through the mud.

Well I guess we will see what the judicial system will have to say. But again right there in your own words she accused the conservatives, the not the Prime Minister. It was the liberals who brought the Prime Minister into it, they posted the accusation on their website. It may have been statements made by Donna Cadman that brought all of this about, but it was the liberals who escalated it.

So I guess Harper is right in suing for slander against Liberals who made slanderous accusations? What she stated was not accusation. It was a statement of her understanding of what her husband said on his death bed. She can neither confirm nor deny what was discussed in this alleged conversation, as she was not a party to it.
