  1. I don't think you're reading those stats correctly. It's not for every 100k unvaccinated people, it's for every 100k people in general which is then broken down by vaccine status. If 85-90% of people in that 100k are vaccinated and only 10-15% aren't then you can't compare their numbers of cases/deaths on a 1:1 basis.
  2. Don't the vaccines help fight infections, meaning you'll be infected for a shorter period of time, and less severe symptoms, and therefore be less likely to spread COVID? Vaccines don't mean you'll never spread COVID, but they seem to help.
  3. I agree that vaccinating children is essentially done to try to lessen community spread to protect mostly older adults and the medically vulnerable.
  4. Doug Ford defended the Emergency Act. Said protestors were causing lots of noise and blocking bridges. Uhhhm ok? So arrest them.
  5. All of your crime claims are wrong: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_and_territories_by_violent_crime_rate https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/pressroom/sosmap/firearm_mortality/firearm.htm https://www.statista.com/statistics/232563/forcible-rape-rate-in-the-us-by-state/
  6. Next they should ban school dances because some kids feel bad because they can't dance or get a date, and some poor parents can't afford a shirt and tie. This is the dumb kind of thinking this is. If some kids can't afford Halloween then have a fundraiser to get some cheap costumes for the kids. IMO an annual Halloween costume is just part of the annual cost of having kids. I wore the same costume for multiple years and it hardly cost anything, I made it from stuff around the house, and I wasn't even poor. If you're a religious nutbar and your religion is offended by Halloween then keep your kids home or just get over it and stop being a crazy person.
  7. Well this is just as stupid as those. The difference is this became boardwide policy. So we can add SJWs to the list of people who want to ban fun things. I have no doubt they are just as nuts as hardcore Christians.
  8. It's not just about a "parade". I've never even heard about a "parade" except by the OP. They don't want costumes, decorations, handing out candy etc. Halloween is a very popular holiday tradition that's been celebrated in Canada for a very long time. https://kitchener.ctvnews.ca/wrdsb-insists-they-re-not-cancelling-halloween-cite-mixed-messaging-as-issue-1.5628754
  9. Every kid I knew growing up in Canada celebrated Halloween as a cultural holiday, so yes its a pat of Canadian culture. It's a western tradition. If you're from a country that doesn't celebrate Halloween your child can either assimilate or not participate or you could choose not to move to Canada, but in no way should Canadians stop celebrating its traditions in order to accommodate a small minority that isn't really even asking to be accommodated. I certainly would never ask or expect ie: India to stop celebrating Indian traditions just because my western family moved to India. If I didn't want to live in India I wouldn't have moved there. SJW's who are too weak to make these kinds of decisions shouldn't be an admin in a school board. This is yet another example of self-inflicted cultural genocide.
  10. You said "collectively, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese represent 20% of the total Canadian population". I don't think is accurate.
  11. True, but it's the troops I believe they're having the problem with numbers.
  12. Lol wut? No, after it is born is it also dependent on the sacrifices of the woman (and parents). This is exactly like saying "being a non-slave owner, you have NO STANDING to advocate for the rights of a slave cause you have NO SKIN in that game." And exactly the same as saying "being a non-German, you have NO STANDING to advocate for the rights of Jews in Germany cause you have NO SKIN in that game."
  13. Why does a pro-choice person get to impose their views on unborn babies?
  14. That has no bearing on the ethics of it. People want to have sex, sometimes unprotected or not properly protected, and then murder fetuses when they screw up.
  15. Can I choose to punch a baby in the face? The issue here is that abortion choices affect more than the mother.
  16. Abortion is most unpleasant for the fetus that is being violently assaulted and killed. It's odd that you feel worse for the mother/couple than the human life that is being killed.
  17. This is exactly what slave owners said. Is it alive and human or not? If you can kill it and end its life, that means it's alive, and should have a right to life. Why is a pregnant woman and her doctor the only citizens who are allowed to commit violent assault on another innocent human without their consent and with intent to kill?
  18. You have to dehumanize it in order to kill it and still sleep at night. This is what the Nazis did, and slave owners. You can call it whatever you want, it's a human life. When does a fetus become a human being?
  19. Women should have unlimited rights to have unprotected sex, become pregnant, and then murder the child inside them. If a woman had 1000 abortions this is ethical. There are about 800k abortions performed in the US every year. This is not a slaughter. Line up all 800k and and worship at the altar of our rights.
  20. But it's my own money. And it's not equal, it's based on how much you paid into it. Seat belts are also compulsory, are they socialism?
  21. I wonder how many Canadians Trudeau has red-pilled during his PM tenure?
