  1. There's a video in this cbc article where a reporter asks Trudeau twice if he can confirm if he was informed by CSIS of the allegations. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trudeau-denies-csis-rescind-nomination-1.6761942 He first responds by inferring the allegations are somehow connected to anti-Chinese racism, and on both questions he dodges and doesn't answer the question. The fact that he dodges & doesn't deny or confirm it is an admission that he was indeed warned by CSIS. He says he also continues to support the MP and denies he is disloyal to Canada in any way.
  2. Right, and they wouldn't want to do it anyways. You have to give them a certain amount of self-determination. Indigenous bands also aren't a homogenous group, they have their own customs, cultures, and ways of governance etc. We're all stuck together and we have to make our work for everyone.
  3. These people are connected to the land they live on. You can't just move them all to another piece of land and call it a day. It's not going to work.
  4. If the state is going to allow abortions, healthcare practitioners should not be performing abortions when the child is potentially viable outside the womb. Its rare that they do. An exception would be the mother's life being in jeopardy. In that case, the child should have a right to life no matter what. Remove the baby and healthcare practitioners should do everything they can to keep it alive, then it can be given up for adoption. No viable fetus inside or outside the womb should be killed by a healthcare practitioner. That is absolutely murder.
  5. CSIS-suspected Chinese foreign agents have been accusing people of racism for their accusations. Also, Trudeau himself and now this gem have been trying to label people bringing up foreign interference issues as using "Trump-style tactics" in order to shut people down. So shameful: https://globalnews.ca/news/9512768/justin-trudeau-china-election-interference-public-inquiry/
  6. This is insane. Canadian Parliament has been compromised by Chinese state agents, and our PM has ignored CSIS warnings: https://globalnews.ca/news/9504291/liberals-csis-warning-2019-election-candidate-chinese-interference/ And Chinese election tampering:
  7. Here is the data on vaccinated vs unvaccinated death rates within the US, broken down by age group: https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/united-states-rates-of-covid-19-deaths-by-vaccination-status?country=~All+ages The data on deaths from COVID and among vaccinated vs unvaccinated people varies significantly based on age group. Mandates are a different issue, and is much more subjective. No child should be mandated to take these vaccines, but that's just my subjective opinion.
  8. I don't believe in vaccine mandates, unless you work with populations that are vulnerable to covid. The vaccines were cleared for emergency use because health care scientists believed the health benefits of getting these vaccines to people faster would outweigh the health risks. And they were right. The vaccines have saved a lot of lives, especially during the omicron wave last year. The stats are clear.
  9. That's the same for some who have had covid though. They've suffered longterm health damage from it. Most people who get covid are fine. Most people who get the covid vaccine are fine. But nether is risk free. The data says the risks of getting covid are significantly higher than the risks of getting the vaccine, so the smarter bet is to get the vaccine. If millions were dying from the vaccine like they are from covid it would be a huge story. For some reason anti-vaxxers see a small % of people harmed or even die from the vaccine as bad (which it is), but seem to think this is somehow worse than what the virus has done to people.
  10. This chart will invalidate your arguments. The vaccines were extremely effective at saving lives during the omicron outbreak a year ago, and still help reduce deaths, especially among the elderly. Feel free to change the age groups in the graph: https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/united-states-rates-of-covid-19-deaths-by-vaccination-status?country=~All+ages
  11. Amazing how they can't seem to even attempt to arrest some truckers, but when they want to give us parking tickets to fill their coffers, or organize lockdowns, or secretly track our cellphone movements during those lockdowns without our consent, or give out hundreds of billions in COVID benefits, or force some of us to take vaccines, they're suddenly really efficient at it.
  12. We do, it's called the Charter of Rights. We get our rights except when the government and some of their appointed judges don't feel them necessary.
  13. So much restraint that they didn't even feel like doing their jobs and enforcing the laws already on the books.
  14. I think the government is highly competent in being corrupt self-serving careerist a-holes who care about their own jobs more than their country. Soldiers risk their lives and mental health for their country. Politicians won't even risk their jobs for the good of their country.
  15. In rural places, cows tell people who to vote for. In urban places, avocados tell people who to vote for. Flora vs fauna, the age old battle for supremacy. I fully believe in this conspiracy theory, and you should too.
  16. We can still trade with them. But start moving a lot of our manufacturing, especially anything IT related, elsewhere. I'm willing to eat grass rather than let them push us around.
  17. Anyone with ties to the CCP at this point should be removed from the country. If you're a naturalized Canadian citizen and you break your legal oath of citizenship and your allegiance to the Queen (and her heirs/successors) you should have your citizenship revoked and be deported. Bye. If you're a politician who breaks their oath you should be punished to the full extend of the law. The CCP is right to want the Liberals re-elected, they're a bunch of corrupt wusses and soft on security.
  18. Who is the arbiter of "good posting"? Everyone is entitled to an opinion.
  19. The Liberal Party is run by people who care about their own power than the country or its democracy. Maybe there's a few liberal backbemchers who stand up for what's right, but they won't get anywhere in the party by honoring their oaths of office. Our parties are run as top down hierarchies. An MP who is party leader vs an MP in cabinet vs an MP on the backbench is not providing equal democratic representation of their constituents. The PM uses their power to enforce their agenda on the others. Ask Jody Wilson Raybould and the clapping seals who went with the PM over her to oust her because they were afraid of their jobs, rather than choosing to stand up for democracy. They're all self-serving cowards with no honour.
  20. In Canada we get to choose which corrupt tyrant we want to be ruled by.
  21. The judge who led the commission, Paul Rouleau is a member of the LIberal Party, worked for Liberal John Turner's campaign in the 80's after Pierre Trudeau stepped down, and got his current job as ON justice by being hand-picked by PM Paul Martin for it. He was hand-selected by Justin Trudeau to lead this commission. The PM got to choose the judge who would investigate him ? Trudeau is a tyrant.
