Are Alberta Separatists Committing Treason?
Moonlight Graham replied to TreeBeard's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
All separatists are traitors. If some Albertans or Quebecois don't want to be a part of Canada anymore they're free to move to another country. They aren't taking Canadian land with them. -
Voters these days largely vote based on party not individuals. That's not up for debate. Floor crossing may be legal but it's against the will of the people, especially less than a year since they were elected, and those who disagree just want their team to win a majority. They don't give 2 shats about their constituents.

Because he turned himself into a Trump wannabe. I don't like the direction the Liberal Party has taken this country, but most Canadians also don't want Mini-Trump. And there's lots of things PP says i agree with, but just too many MAGA-type comments, slogans, and policy proposals from him. He's a conservative trend follower and little else, and the trend is MAGA.

And what's your evidence for this corruption? Is this Carneys fault or the fault of Trump and his tariffs? Explain how Carney is responsible for our economic woes. Yes we know the much of the Canadian MSM is politically biased and hence pure trash.

Common Sense Voting Laws?
Moonlight Graham replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The difference is that in 2000 it was actually an extremely close election and they actually had a case to fight for with a recount etc. Both teams fought for their interests through the courts and accepted the results. Gore didn't start doing all sorts of unconstitutional things. I don't care that Trump challenged results in the courts, he can appeal whatever he wants. In 2020 it wasn't close like 2000, and Trump's ego couldn't handle losing so he freaked out tried to do unconstitutional things to overturn an election he lost because he's a tyrannical child who needs to always get his way. Trump sees the polls and is trying to tip the scales in the midterms to steal a win any way he can. He wants the GOP to take over state election powers in Democrat states lol. He's not doing this for the best interests of democracy. He's a dictator. -
Common Sense Voting Laws?

No you didn't like my criticism so you labeled it "TDS" like a child. Since your TDS claim is ridiculous we can reject it and ignore it. Is zero evidence not enough to reject a claim? -
Women and liberals are not tolerant

This graph shows that among college students, rightwing men are the most tolerant of opposing views and leftwing women are the least tolerant. -

Do you think Trump cares? If white rural people tended to have ID less often than others do you think he'd want ID as a requirement? The man tried to steal an election using fake elector ballots he wanted to give to Pence, but Pence refused to do it. Then he threw Pence under the bus. Do people have short memories here or something? Lol -

You think criticism of Trump is just TDS? Lol. He's pushing states to gerrymander before the midterms for the good of democracy too huh? Bet you think the 2020 election was stolen... -

Trump doesn't care about the health of US democracy, he cares about winning elections to bolster his own power. -

Legally I doubt it's treason. But if you conspire against the security interests of Canada with a foreign government, especially one that is hostile towards us and has recently threatened annexation, then IMO it's treason at least in spirit. They should change the law. -
I don't like the Liberals. But unlike Trudeau, Carney is a normal, boring politician who is economically literate and not obsessed with tribal identity politics or his own self-image. He seems consistent and reliable. So far I'm happy with Carney. He makes PP and JT look like childish amateurs, and he's barely been on the job long. His decision-making ability has been solid. Every PM since at least Chretien (sans Martin, too short) has been quite arrogant. Hopefully Carney doesn't let the power go to his head.

I didn't say it was more difficult for non-whites to get photo ID. I said they tended to have it less often. Flying in a private company's airplane isn't a constitutional right. -

If white rural right-leaning voters were the ones who tended to not have photo ID Trump wouldn't be doing this. This is voter suppression and a power grab. The people who don't realize this aren't very smart, or willfully naive because it benefits their politics (which makes them tyrannical too). -
Alex Pretti: A Threat of Truth
Moonlight Graham replied to robosmith's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
He spat on an ICE vehicle and kicked out its tail light. Only a nutter would pull that against law enforcement. -

I saw reported that he had a gun on his hip both times, per this new footage. The guy is clearly a loon and an agitator. Didn't deserve to get shot though. -
CBC edits out embarrassing Carney footage
Moonlight Graham replied to CdnFox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It's definitely a new world order now with how Trunp has been threatening allies. But Carney shouldn't have said "new world order" because uneducated conspiratards aren't going to understand what it means and then make up conspiracy theories about it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_world_order_(politics) -
I saw nothing in any footage so far that justified the shooting. He was disarmed before the agent started shooting. It's pretty hard to tell whether he was even resisting or not. It was a very stupid idea to bring even a legal firearm to the protest, but that's not an excuse to shoot him. He wasn't threatening anyone with it.
