  1. This is true They do need to manage the message better as the anti forces are getting the most press, it's time to get the war room going and introduce some perspective into the issues... good piece on it here and the issue of committees etc. http://www.nationalpost.com/opinion/columnists/Milliken+minority+report/4420771/story.html more at the link
  2. Maybe some perspective is needed on this purchase and not through the lenses of biased partisanship... you all and the opposition must know that the deal includes life time maintenance and local contracts, to cancel it now would cause more problems than keeping it. Just my opinion mind..
  3. Really, the outstanding group fomenting and goading on an election, is that cabal of unelected instigators and speculators in the Parliamentary Press Gallery and the CBC and other studios.
  4. Nope - Bob Rae will take over with an attempt to bring the NDP into the Liberal fold, either a merger of some kind or simply a 'coalition'. While the media and liberal types on places such as MLW are working towards creating the narrative that an election is justified, the average voter isn't buying into the faux outrage and hyperbole. Most people don't care and are fed up with the opposition temper tantrums being more concerned about the future economy.
  5. Mostly because they don't care about someone using the wrong letterhead, or an aide using a stamp while the Minister is away, they are not so rabidly anti conservative no matter what they do. IMO
  6. To my knowledge they didn't, so why now, it's also strange how the charges came immediately before the court decision - did they know ahead of time or what... Only those with their heads in their sand and elsewhere - refuse to admit that all parties did it.
  7. I agree the opposition is turning it into that because they nothing to offer or run on, as I said, hitting over 40% in the polls must flipped their switches LOL, they are desperate.
  8. There needs to be an investigation of the other parties whom we know have done the same thing as has been proven. Somethings never change though, the Tories hit over 40 percent in the polls and the gang up process begins supported by our very liberal media. Not to mention Speaker Milliken is a Liberal and retiring, so what does he have to lose, it's a given how he would rule.
  9. Exactly, talk about misinformation.
  10. That is not a fact but strictly supposition and conjecture.
  11. You need to rephrase your "Harpercaust deniers" it is over the top, not only is it against forum rules, but it denigrates the actual holocaust. It is a slur against a lot of people, not just conservatives. Your hatred is clouding your judgement (or lack thereof) get a grip on reality please, leave such rude references out of your posts. And, as you well know, it is not so cut and dried, if it were, there wouldn't be different court opinions etc. etc. that is apart from the fact you've been shown how other parties do it.
  12. He sure isn't the only poster to do that.. Federal funding isn't meant to be permanent, it's only start up money until the groups can stand on their own, city money should be the same.
  13. Hmmm okay thanks... best to ignore the facts I guess
  14. Not until the ethics commiss. has finished it's probe I guess. However, it seems to me that the Star started this with that smear job about 'busty hookers and backrooms' (of which there were none). Wonder if they will apologize.
  15. Say it isn't so, oh my, I'm shocked I say, I'm shocked http://clownatmidnight.blogspot.com/2011/03/mcguinty-government.html
  16. They shouldn't get any funding from the taxpayers, they are successful and capable of raising their own funds. It's one thing funding a group with start up money but they don't need it anymore.
  17. The case of the disappearing scandalas Conservative MP destroys Elections Canada CEO’s credibility http://www.canada.com/mobile/iphone/story.html?id=b92b618d-d777-4539-b553-c34b3a5b0376&p=1 John Robson • Friday, July 18, 2008 By The Ottawa Citizen
  18. Most Canadians don't give a fig about the latest brou ha ha in QP or what narrative the media is selling today. I'll bet they don't gather around the water cooler to talk about Bev Oda or the latest mountain out of a molehill. Most every day people are more interested in the economy, jobs, the price of beer and men's wages and probably wish the gov't and the opposition would get on with governing rather than foaming at the mouth over their latest outrage. I'd bet that the average voter is more concerned about his job than whatever letterhead Jason Kenney used.
  19. I think it's about time someone stepped in and called for order. Not that I think calling someone 'bubbles' is cause for suspension, but the continuing insults and name calling is getting ridiculous. Warning first, then suspension, maybe 3 and you're out ?
  20. are any MPs anything without their leader - really
  21. Good piece here you all should read, Conservative MP destroys Elections Canada CEO’s credibility - I'm shock I say, I'm shocked !!! I just can't imagine Elections Canada, much less the CEO, doing such things... tipping off the media... having it in for Harper... working to ... get the Conservatives ... Can't imagine it... yeah, right! http://www.canada.com/mobile/iphone/story.html?id=b92b618d-d777-4539-b553-c34b3a5b0376&p=1 John Robson • The case of the disappearing scandal http://bcblue.wordpress.com/2011/03/07/con-mp-destroys-elections-canada-ceos-credibility/ proof http://mrdconservative.com/cgi/wp/?p=197
  22. Liberal MP Jim Karry... has always had a failing grade, I remember a few years ago he got an F in one paper's assessment. I could tell you a few things about that creep from when I was in that riding and on another EDA... but I can't publicly He has his staff trolling the internet looking for mentions of his name.
  23. Yup.... I thought this was pretty funny from the NP this morning - really, there are far more important issues that the Liberals could use and make hay out of, but they waste their time on issues that are just not important to the average Canadian.
  24. This reinforces an earlier post of mine (somewhere) that the Liberals need an election in order to get rid of Ignatieff, but I can't believe they would be so stupid as to do this now, without an issue such as the budget. .
