The Canadian Press said so on a TV interview. Love the Sun's words on this

I saw this and thought it was worth discussing, Q.P.is the pits it's a zoo with nothing but bickering and heckling. The motion to reform QP went to committee, but they couldn't agree - go figure http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/opinions/opinion/the-torture-of-question-period/article1977528/ cont...

AG Draft Report: G8 Funding Lacked Transparency
scribblet replied to guyser's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yup, and they have, I bet the headlines tomorrow morning will not read “I strongly caution the public to wait until our final report on the G8 Legacy Infrastructure Fund has been tabled in Parliament and made public.” LOL -
Why are Liberals lying about Ignatieff's past again?
scribblet replied to Bryan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Which makes you wonder why he said “I am an American Democrat. I will vote for Kerry in November.” -
AG Draft Report: G8 Funding Lacked Transparency
scribblet replied to guyser's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Not a hope in hell, we know what the headlines will say... I would agree that it looks like there was some pork barelling but as the second report says, there was nothing illegal, and no misinforming parliament. Speaking of ethics, the opposition illegally leaked that draft report (not the AG office)that had gone out to various dept., illegally and unethically, they should be careful about pointing fingers. This was a classic destabilization effort on the part of the Liberals in leaking a misleading document prior to the main debate, the second draft has none of the inflammatory language. Not that this will stop the presses LOL -
AG Draft Report: G8 Funding Lacked Transparency
scribblet replied to guyser's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
They can't legally release it during the campaign, obviously the reason only a portion of the draft copy was released - hmmmm illegally... Convenient timing by whoever leaked it knowing the final version couldn't be released. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20110411/ag-says-tories-misinformed-parliament-on-g8-fund-110411/20110411?s_name=election2011 Good points here from a blogger http://trustytorytwo.blogspot.com/2011/04/leaked-ag-report-load-of-crap.html -
Students Asked to Leave CPC rally in London
scribblet replied to Dave_ON's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I think that the optics are bad so he's doing what he can to minimize the bad press. I don't think he nor anyone else thinks that 'mini-terrorists from the NDP about to seize control of the rally' your words of course. -
Students Asked to Leave CPC rally in London
scribblet replied to Dave_ON's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I bet and I suppose only liberal blogs are to be read or believed - just more media-driven election faux-scandals LMAO The optics are bad of course and are being portrayed negatively as usual, without the whole story. Too bad the narrative doesn't tell the whole story, that some students where there simply to disrupt. I'm pretty sure that if I went to the Count's rally with a "conservative or bust" ( or whatever) T-Shirt I'd be asked to leave. Of course, the CBC's anti-Harper attack dog Milewski et al seize this as a means to undermine Harper. They did of course carry the story of some Liberal candidates campaign sign being defaced but nothing about what these student organizers are really about. -

Too bad the media aren't doing their jobs, this guy got it http://bcblue.wordpress.com/2011/04/08/nps-libin-on-medias-coverage-of-campaign-rally-removals/ Kevin Libin does a nice run-down on the full-on assault from the Ottawa Press about the “innocent” Conservative rally attendees: As always, there’s more to the story - and it's a set up but as usual you all drink the bathwater LOL -

Well yeah, when you look at how they spin it LOL imagine if this were a CPC ad what they would say- they'd be accused of violence and all kinds of nasty styuff http://yfrog.com/h4acxyvj -

Harper didn't pull any stunt, the staff at the rally where over zealous - really you guys are drinking the kool aid lately. -
I'd like to ask that too, as far as I know there is very little of it, only a handful of social conservatives left. Also Harper has reiterated that they will not revisit abortion or gay marriage. Mind you, I don't like the 'bible thumping' aspect of some Liberals people either, but everyone has a voice, or should.

People including politicians do evolve and change, the fact that Harper made those statements doesn't mean he still believes in them, same with the Count. Even if Harper still holds those views he is not putting anything forward, he has not proposed any legislation, as he knows that much of it won't fly here and would cost him an election. He is governing from the centre, and as you know none of the scary scary stuff has materialized. The usual scary scary Harper wants to take away abortion rights, and health care for instance are just old, they mean nothing, just as the vacuous republican wannabee tactic is.

The Plot Is Revealed - A Coalition if Harper Wins
scribblet replied to scribblet's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
There was no official coalition, it was an agreement to co-operate on a case by case basis - big difference, but of course you et al choose to believe the liberal narrative and spin. -

He's hiding the fact that this election was contrived in order for them to do this, and has now admitted it after saying no coalition. -

I shouldn't give your rants and hyperbolic malicious verbal diarrhea - which is not in keeping with the forum rules - credibility by replying, but I will. Too bad you can't see anything other than your own hyper partisan ideology, it's people like you who only see through the prism of their own left wing lenses who can't accept that their are other opinions. -

Yawn.... ZZZZ the coalition of losers has been plotting all along to overthrow the gov't. -
Coalition confirmed - Today’s NP says that Mr. Ignatieff has said things he probably would like to take back – notably the admission in an interview with the paper that he would not support an unchanged Conservative budget, which suggests we may have to do this all over again soon, if the Tories are returned with a minority - so this has been the plan all along, another election so they can form a coalition. The plot thickens

Harper turns down one-on-one debate with Ignatieff
scribblet replied to Shwa's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Iggy and the media are spinning the narrative that Harper turned it down first when he didn't, Liberals wouldn't lie would they - and oh oh Today’s National Post says that Mr. Ignatieff has said things he probably would like to take back – notably the admission in an interview with the paper that he would not support an unchanged Conservative budget, which suggests we may have to do this all over again soon, if the Tories are returned with a minority - so this has been the plan all along, another election so they can form a coalition. -
Liberal universal child care plan
scribblet replied to capricorn's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
If the aim is to help single mothers it doesn't have to be a full nationalized day care scheme, they can be helped by subsidies etc. -

The debate is a non-issue. The networks don't want to do it. -
