  1. Natives do get fully funded university, you must know that.
  2. Totally agree, they screamed for her head and demanded she be gone, death by the political guillotine. Harper gave them what they wanted as a minority gov't co-operating with the opposition, everyone should be happy right - wrong, now those hypocrites say he shouldn't have done it !!! They can't have it both ways, but as usual they are playing it up in the media.
  3. Too bad everyone's forgetting that Harper caved in to the feeding frenzy of opposition demands that he can her... hypocrites !
  4. Ain't it the truth, Harper caved to their demands, but now that was wrong - go figure LOL
  5. the Liberals shut down some special ballot collection at the University of Toronto, too bad they didn't do the same for the Conservatives... can you say bias... http://www.theglobeandmail.com/archives/article809170.ece
  6. The lesson learned here is that liberals and student mob voting rules.
  7. The campus liberals were passing out flyers to those standing in line to vote, how is that not wrong. How is is not wrong for a RO to decide one her/his own that this would happen. Yet in a similar case in the past when the Liberals complained they ruled against the ballot, but no surprise here that Elections Canada has shown a clear anti-Conservative bias.
  8. Interesting, in light of the fact that it was not pre-authorized by EC, and was an RO who took it upon herself to do this, I'm surprised EC has ruled in their favour, they should not have, it was wrong.
  9. Agreed, unless they won't be there during the voting times. I would question the legality of the thing, but I EC must have given permission. It's a mob thing....
  10. Your title of the thread is misleading..it appears that there were some shenanigans going on there, they had every right to try to correct the situation, and are legally. The party has written to EC and those nice little socialists don't like silly rules getting in their way. http://guelphmercury.blogs.com/files/letter-to-p.-boutet-dated-april-14-2011.pdf Given the poisoned liberal atmosphere on university campuses these days it is difficult to imagine that any balloting in such a place would be conducted in a fair manner.
  11. Well, the NDP wrote and was refused, all parties are requesting it but she says no !!
  12. The Auditor General Act prohibits the AG from releasing her report (on the G8/20) now, Avaaz seems not to know this... Jack Layton has written to the AG requesting that she releases the report, she has refused. They are interfering again with our election. https://secure.avaaz.org/en/canada_save_democracy/?cl=1018900843&v=8868
  13. LOL yeah, complete with busty hookers LOL
  14. Nonsense, it implies nothing of the kinds, only in your mind. There was nothing to get their knickers in a knot about, only sour grapes because they lost the nomination.
  15. Totally agree.... I like my conservative candidate, I've known him for a few years and respect him, there isn't another candidate who offers anything for me... You pick the party that best represents your view, I don't agree with everything the conservatives say and do by any means, but IMO they are the best choice at the present.
  16. Faction has a long history of public service, I would say because he is involved in a charity shouldn't exclude it from public funding. They should have quietly raised their concerns after the election either with the party or the auditor general, but instead they have chosen to deliberately embarrass the party during a close election. These dramatics happen now and then in ridings, the people resigning are usually malcontents who place their own interests ahead of the party they chose to run for.
  17. Probably the positives outweigh the negatives... I thought I posted this but it's not showing up for me I don't know the whole issue, but it sounds like an embittered previous candidate now wanting to undermine the guy who represents the riding.
  18. The French debate doesn't get the viewers the English debate does, I didn't watch it either, but Duceppe always wins the French one. I'm beginning to think we should just cut the purse strings and turn 'em loose....
  19. The opposition are pretty good at spreadinglies, too many to go into here, but on the recovery we are best http://www.thestar.com/business/article/791490--canada-enthusiastic-rebound-best-in-g7-oecd-says
  20. It sounded that way. The media doesn't report on all the small town meetings, maybe they didn't care - unless it was a conservative who said it of course. If you think I and Tony Clements are making this up, that I've nothing better to do than sit at this keyboard and make a whole pile of stuff up, fine, whatever makes you happy.
  21. I agree, but it wasn't said in jest, the room went quiet, you could hear a pin drop... some of these small town meetings just don't get reported on.
  22. I just talked to someone who attended that meeting (not Clement) which was in Burk’s Falls who confirmed the comments. She made the remarks in her opening statement referencing Clement’s campaign van (which has a photo of him on the side), and the long gun registry, as being a good target yadda, yadda. Of course, this is all made up, she never really said it
  23. Exactly, they wouldn't care less, they'd be screaming about it non stop. I've corrected the title as it wasn't a tweet by the candidate but something said at an all candidates meeting which Clements attended, he posted it as a tweet.
  24. Tony Clement's Tweet Of course you'd be all over it if it had been a Tory, but for now we will have to go with Mr. Clement's account. It was an all candidates meeting so he would be there.
  25. Well, lookee here - imagine if a CPC candidate said this http://torydrroy.blogspot.com/2011/04/despicable.html .@TonyclementCPC: NDP cand suggested my campaign van needed crosshairs for those wishing to shoot me. Audible gasps from audience.
