Ex-Harper aide, escort linked to deal
scribblet replied to Topaz's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
No one is supporting Carson's allegedly fraudulent activities which happened while he is a private citizen. -
Skin colour matters in access to good jobs: study
scribblet replied to Shwa's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Could happen, it was close in the hey day of employment equity which was supposed to be voluntary, but in fact was pretty rigorously imposed and practiced in many areas. I can attest to what was done in the name of EE in order to hire from target groups. If anyone has gone to gov't offices in Toronto or spoken to anyone on the phone, you are hard pressed to find a caucasian employee, visible minorities are no longer under represented, in Toronto at least. -

Indeed, the non existent 'busty hookers' originally came from the yellow journalism of the Star, just like Jaffer, there's not much they can hang on the CPC over Carson as a private citizen. Excellent article here on this, including the foaming at the mouth attack dogs LOL http://www.ottawasun.com/comment/editorial/2011/03/18/17674471.html read more -

Ex-Harper aide, escort linked to deal
scribblet replied to Topaz's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Me neither, maybe he didn't as he even worked for Joe Clarke did he not? It's possible all employers thought that since he'd served his time paying his debt to society and so on, he should be given another chance. Don't forget also, that "Mr. Carson is now a private citizen and his actions relate to his activities as a private citizen." -

I'll say, should spice up the Star's usual type 'of investigative journalism' when it comes to the Tories LOL -

Well, not much to lay on Harper here and also remember that Conservatives are a minority in committees so it's a bit difficult to get the actual truth in these kangaroo type courts. want to read about a real scandal http://www.nationalpost.com/todays-paper/Jean+Chr%C3%A9tien+final+scandal/4461522/story.html -
Guilty: Harper Government Found in Contempt of Parliament
scribblet replied to Topaz's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
That's a draft report remember and the rulings needed to be studied further by a parliamentary committee http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/second-reading/silver-powers/pot-meets-liberal-kettle-at-contempt-hearings/article1945423/ -
Canada (NATO) at war with Libya
scribblet replied to William Ashley's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I would prefer that we didn't get involved in this, but we are a member of NATO and the U.N. but no surprise at the attacks on Canada's position. But really, do you actually believe that Canada would not be involved with men and equipment if it were the Liberals in power - really - who sent the troops to Afghanistan and Iraq.. It is a U.N. resolution at a belated attempt to save lives, so we would be hard pressed to refuse. Bob Rae seems to think we should be more "active and inventive" to help speed Gadhafi's overthrow. -

Which is the reason the left here is becoming a tad unhinged, judging from the weird posts here LOL -

Muslim murders entire Jewish family!
scribblet replied to Mr.Canada's topic in The Rest of the World
The 3 key lessons to be taken from the massacre of Israelis http://fresnozionism.org/2011/03/three-lessons-from-itamar/ 1. The first lesson is that the perpetrators were not crazy. Their behavior was not an aberration. They have been brought up to believe in their hearts that Jews are creatures of the devil, that the ‘occupation’ of ‘Palestinian land’ — which is never presented as the 1967 territories, but the whole of ‘Palestine’ — is a direct insult to their manhood which must be revenged, and that their society approves of extreme violence as a solution. Indeed, they know that the more violent and bloody their actions, the more honor they will gain. 2. The second lesson is that Israeli concessions short of suicide will not stop this. Every Arab map shows ‘Palestine’ in place of Israel, all of Israel, not a state composed of Judea, Samaria and Gaza. Every time an Arab talks about ‘occupation’, ‘Palestinian land’, etc., he means the whole of Israel. There are many ways to prove this: maps, statements made by leaders, media, the insistence on ‘right of return’, the refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state, etc. 3. The third lesson, derived from the second, is that all Israelis are ‘settlers’ in their minds The terrorists that committed the 2002 shooting of the three students in Itamar were honored just last month on official Palestinian Authority (PA) TV. I don’t doubt that this week’s ‘heroes’ will get the same treatment: -
Possibly, so maybe he would like drink those Lattes with the Liberals huh

Israel's Intercepts Ship Carrying Arms
scribblet replied to scribblet's topic in The Rest of the World
Good, but your quote was not in the article I posted. -
For the same reason the trivial poop about the CPC is on the websites et al everyone wants to spin their own story and frame the party they hate in the worst terms possible. LOL
-
The motherlode - Well, these arms seized today very sophisticated exceeding anything previously caught. Yup, I got it, the leftists will tell us yarns about the poor Palestinians fighting nasty Israel with only small rocks, but the truth is here. Palestinian terrorists are professionally trained, armed, and financed by various governments who provide them with the newest and greatest in weapons with which to kill Jews. http://www.570news.com/news/world/article/197521--israel-says-its-navy-intercepts-egypt-bound-ship-carrying-arms-off-mediterranean-coast

If it's 'con' garbage, then I'm happy to subscribe to 'garbage' which has respect for women and considers honour killings, barbaric.... which they are.

Left Wing Guardian admits Israel ‘straightforward target’
scribblet replied to scribblet's topic in The Rest of the World
I'm not sure what you are referring to, the only tendency here seems to be that of the pro terrorist supporters who seem to think that only Israel is wrong and has no right to defend itself. The only intellectual dishonesty here is that of those who fail to accept the bias of the Guardian et al, and their acceptance of the terrorist propaganda. -
Left Wing Guardian admits Israel ‘straightforward target’
scribblet replied to scribblet's topic in The Rest of the World
Agreed, one also has to wonder about the continual incitement against Israel by some of the media and people here who buy into the anti Israel propaganda machine, and why Israel isn't supposed to have the right to defend itself and live in peace. good blog here http://gayandright.blogspot.com/2011/03/continual-incitement-against-israel.html -

Muslim murders entire Jewish family!
scribblet replied to Mr.Canada's topic in The Rest of the World
If anyone thinks that this is an isolated innocence then ask yourself why crowds of Palestinians celebrated the murder of these Israeli children, and if you believe it is not representative of the Palestinian attitude you are mistaken. It seems to be a point of pride on mass murdering Jews and Christians. I tend to think that left wing support of this attitude and behaviours is partly responsible for it, as they feel that they have support in what they do.
