  1. Good points Bob... The Guardian is known for it's left wing bias and is admitting to it's anti Israeli stance. Back in 2003 a Guardian Columnist quit because of it. http://backspin.typepad.com/backspin/2003/11/guardian_column.html Didn't MLK say in a letter: "Anti-Zionism is inherently anti-semitic, and ever will be. What is anti-Zionism? It is the denial to the Jewish people of a fundamental right that we justly claim for the people of Africa and freely accord all other nations of the globe. It is discrimination against Jews... because they are Jews. In short, it is anti-semitism."
  2. The massacre seems to be a new low even for these terrorists, it's pretty horrendous. Wonder if there'll be a UN resolution condemning this Arab genocide of Jews. This mass murder of sleeping children and parents had nothing to do with a land disputes, they were murdered out of hatred and because they were Jews - plain and simple. http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/142843 Three Year Old Stabbed in the Heart, Baby's Throat Slashed cont...
  3. Maybe there should be more interest in the fact that the House has been hijacked by the opposition as they continue commandeering Parliament for their perceived grievances. All of which is geared towards bringing down the gov't so they can (they hope) regain power. That's all they care about, hijacking parliament for their own nefarious ends, they care not about the people or Canada.
  4. Well.... maybe if they thumped the bible instead, there would be fewer pregnancies
  5. Who cares what he believes, is that any worse than the beliefs of our practicing Catholic PMs - really - transubstantiation, miracle virgin birth, young-earth beliefs, resurrections from death yadda yadda - maybe the fewer politicians who believe in that weird dogma the better !
  6. I won't say what else he was for fearing of being reported to the RCMP LOL I doubt Harper will call an election, there is no desire or passion for a federal election as according to the polls, the electors are okay with the status quo. If the opposition thinks that polls look bad for them now, wait until they call an unnecessary election. As I said, the outstanding group fomenting and goading on an election, is that cabal of unelected instigators and speculators in the Parliamentary Press Gallery and the CBC and CTV studios. Not only that with 3 MPs retiring, unless they have people allready lined up, I don't see them scrambling to replace them that quickly. Chuck Strahl has been seriously ill for some time, I'm surprised he's stayed on as long as he has.
  7. Perception and IMO a conflict of interest, as a school trustee his loyalty should be to the children and their best interests, that's my opinion.
  8. One has to be careful as we are limited to what we may say because of this type of thing. It reminds me of a book I read years ago called Children of the Arbat, where friends and neighbours listened in to conversations then reported them - a truly paranoid atmosphere where differences of opinion, or even humour are misconstrued and reported as a threat to the State, children denouncing their parents and the fanaticism. Denouncing opinions as hate speech while accusing Christians of being worse is simply a deflection from the issue and a means of stifling opinion. However, in today's atmosphere of political correctness remember the 'politburo' is watching you LOL
  9. True, the guy has a right to a defense, but morally as a school trustee IMO the lawyer should've stepped aside. I have the letter and it seems to be the use of the word 'must', but I'm sure it was discussed years ago so there's no point. Day should never have let the lawyer's fees get so out of hand either.
  10. Other than his misstep on that issue he has been a good guy and politician. I don't agree with his religious views either, but he had to mortgage his home to pay that settlement. As far as what he said about the lawyer goes I did agree with him, but he should have been more careful with his wording. The lawyer in question was a school trustee who chose to defend a pedophile, sure it's a democracy and he has that right, but as a parent I would object to a school trustee doing that. Stockwell was just alarmed that someone as a school trustee whom everyone trusts as being dedicated to the protection, development, and nurturing of children, would, for whatever professional reason, risk being involved in a matter inimical to children's best interests.
  11. What is reported to the RCMP ?
  12. So, if they don't get elected does this mean they will resort to to a 'rebellion' to get their Islamic State. Hizb ut-Tahrir is a radical group committed to to establishment of a world wide Islamic State, or Caliphate, not too democratic really.
  13. According to Wikki he did http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theo_van_Gogh_%28film_director%29
  14. It's a form of self censorship, just tell 'em what they want to hear. The Guardian tends to pride itself as being a 'guardian' of media ethics more or less, yet they are so blatantly anti Israel and anything that isn't left wing they are an oxymoron I was appalled at totally biased and incorrect piece about Canada last year, they made a partial correction only. We know many papers have a bias but when it becomes so malicious and craven...... http://blogs.jpost.com/content/guardian-decline-once-great-newspaper The Guardian: Decline of a once great newspaper
  15. Disagreeing with you, is not lying...
  16. Well, whoda thunk it, I'm shocked I say, I'm shocked - that bastion of Liberal bias in the media has admitted that Israel ‘straightforward target’ - suspicions confirmed http://justjournalism.com/the-wire/guardian-admits-israel-%E2%80%98straightforward-target%E2%80%99/
  17. Hmmm, I haven't heard that, but they do want Gert Wilder's head... http://www.reuters.com/article/2010/09/03/us-dutch-wilders-idUSTRE68217920100903
  18. I highly doubt that Schwartz has any 'strings' on Harper, IMO it's all tin foil hat time. BTW, calling people scum because they disagree with you, is hardly condusive to an intelligent discussion.
  19. And for something light, but I'm sure there will be a feeding frenzy and gnashing of teeth over this one.... http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/ottawa-notebook/even-as-victorian-era-tv-cop-harper-laments-ottawa-infighting/article1939282/
  20. Oh no, say it isn't so - I'm shocked I say - I'm shocked...
  21. More bad news for the Liberals Thursday, from the Globe and Mail Jane Taber - Globe and Mail Update - Posted on Thursday, March 10, 2011 6:02PM EST and so it goes..... from the Hill Times - PARLIAMENT HILL—The NDP is getting cold feet about bringing down the Harper Government anytime soon ( notice their use of 'Harper Gov't) LOL
  22. I posted that link in another thread, but I did think about starting a new one, it does speak to the issue of the need to reform parliamentary committees and the Liberal misusing their majority on them. There is definitely a lack of perspective here
  23. Exactly, maybe they should govern more like a Conservative party instead of a Liberal party.
  24. Of course they will blame Harper for everything, just like they are blaming Harper for McGuinty choosing the HST
  25. Nope, not yet... committees are not the will of parliament, the article points out how they are used and a need to reform the Parliamentary committee system.
