  1. This si true. Anti Semitism is on the rise in Europe as hate attacks on Jews soar but hate attacks on Muslims go down. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/11360772/Hate-attacks-on-Jews-soared-94-last-year-police-figures-show.html Harassment of Jews is on the increase world wide http://www.timesofisrael.com/harassment-of-jews-on-the-rise-worldwide-study-finds/?utm_source=The+Times+of+Israel+Daily+Edition&utm_campaign=c5c9fc1d2a-2015_02_27&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_adb46cec92-c5c9fc1d2a-55038417 and in the U.K.Anti-Semitic attacks more than double http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/religion/11391156/Anti-Semitic-attacks-more-than-double-in-UK.html
  2. So by your lites, 'hate crimes' resulting in death are no different because 'dead is dead'.
  3. Every excuse they make, for the Islamic terrorists, is "blown to bits"!

      LonJowett

You're making jokes about people getting blown up by terrorists? Stay classy!

    2. Boges

I think more about the people who make excuses for the people doing the blowing to bits.

      Scribbler - poor taste man...

  4. Sunny and share, sunny and share...and of course a jerry rigged voting system without a referendum that would favour the Liberals.

It takes balls to dump the FPTP system. Annything else will be fairer and more representative.

^^^^^I applaud those who bring their fascism out in the open. The throne speech did not mention the refugees, but it put the big Turd on the Table: "electoral reform"

The Liberals have to stage the sham that anything but preferential voting or ranked ballots are their choice. It will take a couple years to play out while they pretend to consider other options.

  5. They were 5 & 8 when he took office, provide proof that the RCMP babysat for them. Harper did not have nannies as Mrs. Harper quit her job to stay home to look after them.
  6. A PM's wife is not required at any time, there are no official duties for a PMs wife, therefore no financial allowances or budgets. As far as lying goes the PMO is lying about the nannies having additional duties, they are the same two nannies he employed prior to becoming PM, people aren't buying into that one.
  7. Exactly, we know what would be said. I can swallow paying for one nanny, even after he told us rich people like him don't need financial help with the kids, and that's the big issue with it, if he hadn't made that a campaign issue IMO most people wouldn't mind one nanny, but two? As far as the nannies go, they are the same two nannies he paid for before becoming PM, and the salary from the taxpayers will be retroactive to the day he was sworn in. Their salaries are lower because it includes meals.
  8. Justin's spending from that bare cupboard, none of it for Canadians. 14 Million to Indonesia 12 million to Vietnam 15 million to Africa 2.6 Billion to the U.N. 1.2 Billion to resettle Syrian Refugees 150,000 to CBC

    1. Wilber

      Wilber

What did a "bare cupboard" mean anyway? Not a bunch of money laying around to spend? Not enough things to cut? What?

    2. The_Squid

      The_Squid

Bare cupboard is what Harper left us, I guess.

Largest deficits ever were under Harper.

Harper economy was sluggish for an awful long time. Mismanagement.

      But Harper, but Harper.....

  9. Not sure about that one... Trudeau seems to be out lefting the NDP
  10. IMO, the 2.65 billion promised for climate change would also go a long way to help Canadians in need. I'm starting to wonder if Canadians are ever going to come first with their own money. Gonna be a long 4 yrs.
  11. Wynne has lost it. It's not well thought out at all, there is no reason for medical pot smokers to do it in public, they can toke up before going inside a venue. Will they be able to smoke up in a public park near kids. I sure don't want that foul smelling stuff around me anymore than I do cigarette smoke. How is a venue owner going to determine if it's medical or not, can he ask for proof?
  12. #2 - he promised not to spend on partisan advertising, he is for 500K worth. I agree he's doing the right thing and that it's a political calculation because of the blowback.
  13. You beat me to it... of course they can't admit that the promise that all have been vetted and screened isn't quite so. Did you see the piece from the CBC Thursday showing the Minister with a group of refugees? All males, including two kids.
  14. from the Huffington Post: The price tag on the Liberal program has been pegged at as much as $1.2 billion over the next six years, according to a document obtained last week by The Canadian Press. The Liberal platform only booked $250 million for the program. "Premiers and mayors are justifiably wondering how the federal government is going to pay for it,'' said NDP Leader Tom Mulcair.

Golf course.... much worse than a gazebo.... cuz the Liberals did it!

  15. So where are all the previously "muzzled" scientists? Shouldn't we be hearing a deluge of previously repressed "science" on the news?

    1. On Guard for Thee

      On Guard for Thee

That will likely begin after the refugee issue dies down.

    2. The_Squid

      The_Squid

I know many gov't scientists have already been free to give interviews.

Serious people think the Conservatives were something along these lines.

  16. There isn't one, it's the Liberals making stuff up in order to make themselves look good. Is there anyone surprised that they would pull a stunt like this.
  17. Good thing the Liberals don't have their promised advertising commissioner yet...

  18. The 'mastermind' got into the EU as a refugee, they were all radical Islamists. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/terrorism-in-the-uk/12006892/International-manhunt-underway-after-French-police-let-Paris-attacks-suspect-slip-through-their-fingers.html
  19. People are not inhumane, racist or xenophobic for recognizing that taking in huge numbers of migrants would place great strain and pressure on our health systems, housing and schools. These are genuine and responsible concerns along with security concerns in light of recent events.
  20. In fairness, the full video provides some context. In the full video, Lukiwski is asked repeatedly to do his impression of someone, and keeps saying.. "No, no, no", and then later caves and does the impression, hence the discussion of him being "f****** old", when he's 40 years old in the video. So basically, its a video of him making fun of a bigot. Now, is it tasteless, yes, absolutely.
  21. Oh yes they are, the majority want better screening rather than a much too short time line. But 'domestic terrorists' - really - are you saying because some of them were Islamists who were born in Europe there isn't a problem. All the reports about terrorists posting as refugees with fake passports are not a problem? http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/paris-attacks-the-eight-terror-suspects-named-so-far-all-have-eu-passports-a6738821.html
  22. Some people sure didn't care about demeaning and undermine Canada when they attacked Harper for everything and anything he did... But.. when people criticize Trudeau/liberals it's because of a low regard for country and your citizenship.
  23. I expect my gov't to live up to their responsibility for me and my family regardless of campaign promises. As Canadian citizens our rights are paramount over prospective terrorists; any thing less than that is blood on the gov't hands Please protect my life and my children regardless of promises and ideology.
  24. Maybe now people will start to believe how huge the Islamist problem really is and will quit pussyfooting around, although I doubt it. I noticed while watching news on different channels, the stark absence of any speculation in the media as to who did it, maybe it was those German soccer supporters you know... I guess everyone is wondering how something so huge and obviously involved a lot more Islamists was missed by intelligence. If nothing else this should give us pause about rolling back Bill C 51. I watched former CIA director James Woolsley talking about the Paris attacks on BBC. He mentioned the refugees flooding in as a possible factor. Not surprising, ISIL has allready told us they have supporters among them. IMO Justin Trudeau will have to reconsider his plan to flood Canada with hastily screened refugees, unless of course it’s only their votes he wants. Everyone else being collateral damage.
