  1. Maybe you should think a little more too - no doubt had the OP seen the Democrat money first it wouldn't have been an issue. Maybe it is just as both sites say, non partisan to help democracy.
  2. Well said Rue! Well said Rue, all of this is nothing but a gotcha let's see who we can out today. No doubt there are many others out there who are just smart enough not to voice their opinion on it.
  3. I can agree that foreign aid money could be better spent, but all in all, it's not as nefarious as some think it is. They gave to both organizations which are as the websites show nonprofit, nonpartisan organizations that help countries build democratic institutions. They do not advocate for right-wing policies abroad either, it's just spin put out to try and smear the gov't.
  4. I'd say it's just another conspiracy theory not founded in fact.
  5. Well damn and here I thought the liberals/NDP were too brainwashed to even know who to vote for unless told by their Union...
  6. But, but but... he also gave to the Democrat equivalent - is that okay?
  7. Actually it's a foreign aid grant to help build the democratic process in Ukraine. The International Republican institute really is a non-partisan organization that works to help build democracies internationally. It has no connection with the Republican Party itself. Bring on those conspiracy theories tho.
  8. Good that ABC is important for some but not for others of course. A friend of mine just told me this heard when she was waiting in line today. Waiting in line to vote at the advance polls today was a young woman proudly announcing that she never usually votes but was going to this time because "it's time for a change" and when I questioned her why she felt that way her answer "my union told us to not vote Harper in" Then in the area where you cast your ballot her head pops up over the screen and her voice asks "how come I don't see Mulcaire's name on the ballot" No one laughed, no one said a word until I finally said "you're a smart lady....you'll figure it out"
  9. Opposition parties in 2007 disagreed with E.C. Mayrand's decision to allow Niqabs while voting. In fact they all said women should be forced to reveal their faces so their identities can be verified. Did Trudeau et al think it was disgusting then, if so why did not speak up then.
  10. Just heard some unconfirmed reports of a Russian plane being shot down by the Turkish air force, if true best the USA stay out of it because Putin won’t take any crap from the U.S. should they intervene

Unless Russia is willing to use Nuclear weapons - they're a bankrupt state that would have their proverbial clocks cleaned by the united states.

And if Russia attacked California I think even Obama would consider using nukes. Russia is not bankrupt. They are now having free reign in the ME. The US is pulling out.

No worries...Justin's Canada will save us.

  11. Shhh... don't let facts get in the way of a good narrative.
  12. Apparently some have read it but are still going hog wild with the conspiracy/bribery theories.
  13. A Muslim group is also against it http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/muslim-group-calls-for-burka-ban-1.863810 It is interesting that in 2007 all of the major parties disagreed with E.C. Mayrand's decision to allow Niqabs while voting. In fact they all said women should be forced to reveal their faces so their identities can be verified.
  14. According to Wiki: Founded in 1983, the International Republican Institute (IRI) "is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization committed to advancing freedom and democracy worldwide by helping political parties to become more issue-based and responsive, assisting citizens to participate in government planning, and working to increase the role of marginalized groups in the political process – including women and youth. 15. Okay, I see the new troll has now gone.. thanks
  16. As opposed to blind Liberal or NDP partisans. People in glass houses and all that.
  17. It didn't, not the way it was reported anyway... The PMO did request to stop the processing of a preliminary group of Syrian refugees, pending an audit of their cases. The gov’t has denied the were focusing on religious minorities to exclude an identifiable group but were focusing on the most vulnerable which makes sense and PMO staff were not involved in the process. The Star says it could not independently verify the report in it’s story and neither has Trudeau who without knowing the facts simply makes stuff up. That is what is ‘disgusting’ Mr. Trudeau.
  18. Well, the dishonourable person who divulged classified sensitive information which is against the law and violates the conditions of employment could soon be prosecuted as the RCMP have been called in to investigate. Of course, that person will be seen by some as an 'whistle blower' or whatever then cheered on by those who support unethical employee behaviour.
  19. It really is weird. We now have another poster trolling/spamming the forum with the same links used by all the other posters hammering away at the Bruce Goryca conspiracy theory.
  20. Here we go again, more of the same about Bruce Gorcya.
  21. There isn't a 'single politician running around' - the majority of Canadians support it.
  22. Really... Toto I'm not in Kansas anymore
  23. I voted before the advance polls in the returning office, beats lining up.
  24. They can if they are registered as a third party which they are. I see Avaaz is registered again but with an American address, that's against the rules, they must have a Canadian base.
