      She's a kook.

The Conservatives still have members who don't believe in evolution.

So there are plenty of sitting CPC members who are also kooks.

At least the Liberals filtered her out.

Ah Shady, and you said you were gonna be kinder and gentler. Don't let your buddie influence you.

  2. Does it cost us over and above regular salaries - is there overtime involved or what? It sure beats the NDP taxing 100 per cent of stock-option benefits which will only serve to limit Canada's tech growth .
  3. "venal self interest" really, that's more than a stretch of the imagination.
  4. They didn’t destroy books and burn documents indiscriminately because there's some ' war on data' that’s just part of the disinformation going around… you really shouldn't believe everything the unions tell you. http://www.torontosun.com/2015/08/26/anti-harper-war-on-science-story-borders-on-hoax As for the Manitoba Library: The library has been closed and the collection has been relocated. In preparation for the closure, the librarians of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) identified the unique materials in this library and arranged for their transfer to the consolidated DFO library in Sidney BC. The remaining materials are duplicates or fall outside the subject disciplines pertinent to the department’s mandate.
  5. I haven't seen anyone suggest that the CPC is suggesting that all Muslim people who come to 'this country are men'.. Now who's lying.

    1. Shady

      Shady

They seem to always be disingenuous.

  6. I haven't seen anyone suggest that all Muslim people who come to 'this country are men'.. that is not true. I haven't seen anything at all that says that. Looks like the NDP candidate I referred to earlier as to apologize - http://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/election/ndp-candidate-backs-off-proposal-to-reopen-constitution-for-senate-niqab-1.2571347?hootPostID=12d08bcfb05afbcc76f2ce7cbd15d315
  7. Exactly. It looked like a bomb to the teacher so she erred on the side of caution. Not that he should`ve been arrested but it`s a lesson learned. Don`t bring anything to school that even resembles a bomb. You are right about it not being an invention as everyone seems to be saying it was just an old clock put into a case. It's not just 'muslim hysteria' here...
  8. http://makezine.com/2015/09/16/this-is-ahmed-mohameds-clock/ If this is the clock, it sure does look like a suitcase bomb... The student here was suspended just for making a gun out of a pop tart, which looks worse. http://newsfeed.time.com/2013/03/04/watch-boy-suspended-from-school-for-making-gun-out-of-a-pop-tart/
  9. I guess it couldn't possibly be racist when Trudeau or Dion use the term, no matter what the context or how nuanced you want to make it.
  10. This could be awkward for Mr. Mulcair, I haven't heard Mulcair's response yet. http://www.brandonsun.com/national/reopen-the-constitution-to-deal-with-the-senate-and-the-niqab-ndp-candidate-328286501.html?thx=y LAC-MEGANTIC, Que. — An NDP candidate in Quebec with a personal beef against the wearing of niqabs during citizenship ceremonies wants the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms amended. Jean-Francois Delisle said if elected, his party will negotiate with the provinces to reopen the Constitution in order to abolish the Senate. He suggests the party could kill two birds with one stone by using the opportunity to deal with the niqab issue. "Thomas Mulcair is ready to open the Constitution for the Senate, so why wouldn't he be ready to open it up on this issue?" Delisle asked during an interview with The Canadian Press at a cafe in Lac-Megantic, Que., on Friday. Delisle doesn't hide his disagreement with the wearing of a niqab while swearing the oath of citizenship.
  11. Only a small percentage of 3 thousand migrants here are women. I feel very sorry for them, but this also reinforces the issue of mostly male migrants. www.france24.com/en/20150914-women-migrants-calais-jungle-plight

Common expression in Quebec, a province fairly obsessed with racial/ethnic purity. Adopting that attitude isn't a good look.

So it's okay if Quebec uses these terms, but racist if someone else does?

  13. Merkel who was bullying Europe to take these people, has now alerted 4,000 troops on 'stand by' against migrant chaos. http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/604615/Germany-army-standby-generous-approach-migrants-backfires

Why isn't Qatar, Bahrain, etc accepting refugees? Seems like a better fit than in Europe.

  14. Seventy-two percent are men, only 13% women and 15% children. Not all are fleeing war. Some are fleeing poverty.….. in the abstract. Normal people feel the implications of their decisions in the particular. The decision-makers feel disdain for the anxieties of normal people, and ascribe them to small-minded bigotries, often religious and racial, and ignorant antagonisms. But normal people prize order because they can’t buy their way out of disorder. http://www.wsj.com/articles/...

Guess you better start complaining up the ladder of your party, since they're now saying they will accept 20,000 refugees and will provide a $100 million fund to help them.

  15. No nation has an unlimited capacity to absorb immigrants of any sort, and especially immigrants whose cultures are not simply different, but antagonistic, to the values of the society in which they settle. The inescapable reality is that it is an irreversible decision to admit a foreign population of any sort -- but especially a foreign population that has a track record of remaining foreign. http://pllqt.it/s9iANL

  18. Germany will regret this but the flow is continuing and will likely increase. They are now pushing past police (in order to get to Sweden, Sweden has allready suffered from riots, I doubt thousands more will improve the situation. I have no doubt this is going to end in more riots and blood. The sheer numbers are hard to comprehend, so what is the upper limit for Europe and for Canada - should we take millions in no questions asked? BTW, Canada is the second highest for refugee resettlement http://www.unhcr.org/524c31a09.html
  19. I stand corrected, demographics are 72% http://data.unhcr.org/mediterranean/regional.html
  20. Right, no point in attending a debate run by enviro whackos for instance. The would stack the hall and not let the CPC speak... typical actually of a other groups too. Edited for spelling
  21. UNHCR has published a graph showing 75% of refugees/migrants are male.
  22. Just read some European news, it will confirm this.
  23. I could say the same for you, even the CBC agrees with what I said.
  24. Seriously: to my knowledge we have no religious conservatives, but we have many atheists. We have no anti gays or anti semites. We do have a variety of countries represented including the U.K. one of whom is non practicing Jew who fled the U.K. who speaks from experience.
  25. http://business.financialpost.com/fp-comment/lies-from-the-left The left has launched an onslaught of wildly inaccurate anti-Conservative ads As the old saying goes, the first casualty in war is the truth.

Yeah. Harper's great. Blew through a surplus and ran a deficit before the economic crisis even hit, then ran 6 more. Allowed us to fall into a second recession and is still sitting at a net deficit in jobs. But all of that means nothing to you, scribblet. 75% of the electorate right now thinks otherwise though. So thankfully not everyone is blinded by their Koolaid.

It's remarkable the Financial Post let's these thinsg run without disclosing the authour's affiliations. Catherine Swift is part of the lobby group the Canadian Federation of Independent Business and teh shady operators calling themselves Working Canadians who ran a few Trudeau attack ads of their own a while back.

All we hear about is how the media is so damn liberal. Yet here we have a Harper apologist, playing a shell game with economic numbers. Hmmm...that's odd.
