Self government? I suspect it will be even more corrupt than reservation leadership is today. Self government. Hmmm ..... Seems they want something that even we tax paying citizens do not have. Perhaps joining mainstream Canada would be a better solution. They can do this and NOT lose what they call culture. Never happen tho'. The will is not there. There is a great deal of "take" and very little "give" in their philosophy. And I am not interested in what happened before I was born. I had no control over it and refuse to apologize for what my ancestors did. End the isolation and the sucking of dollars from the tax coffers - become producing citizens that actually participate in society rather than complain about - and in many instances intentionally create problems - how bad things are. Their own leadership is to blame for most of their problems. Their leaders do seem to live well though. Personally I believe that the attempt to proclaim "self government" is a bad thing and will cause even more strife. Good luck - try not to spin it as a positive thing and try not to spin it as a negative - try to show both sides. I believe it to be a lose - lose essay - you will piss off the instructor or you will piss off the reader. Possibly you will piss off everyone! Borg

Tories seeking balance on immigration
Borg replied to scribblet's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
When they arrived, they supported themselves. There were no safety nets and social engineers that demanded we adapt to your family - they adapted to this land. Much as I disagree with you and your philosophies, I would also bet that they planned to make themselves hard working Canadians rather than sucking off the government tit. Got to especially love those Canadians of convenience. I love spending my tax dollars on them - after all they contribute nothing, live elsewhere, carry MY passport, come here to suck up FREE (my tax dollar) medical resources and complain when we rescue them from war torn countries because we do not provide "first class accommodation". Oh, and I bet your family learned to speak the language. Far different today. Borg -
Does he matter? Hmm ...... Now that he is a simple citizen - I would say - nope. He is out of the picture and on to a new life. Suspect he misses the old days. Borg

China's greenhouse emissions to swamp all Kyoto reductions
Borg replied to Wild Bill's topic in The Rest of the World
Well, we really need to take our hard earned dollars - send those dollars to china - so the chinese can further develop their technology and reduce pollution in their own country - all the while making lots of money and high quality goods to sell back to us. Seems completely fair and reasonable to most people who have faith in suzuki and dion. Borg -
Heck I do not hear any screaming over the "over budget" or expenditures that are even more hopeless. Examples - Firearms laws and donations of money to corrupt African government. War is expensive. Giving money to hopeless causes is expensive. You want change? Run for a seat in government. Borg

Too funny. Like little ole canadaville has enough influence to turn events in the U.S. of A. Borg

No it does not. You are simply proving - by pointing out an example - that laws are no longer applied evenly across the board. This is one very good reason why many people no longer have much - if any - respect for law makers and indeed the law itself. We are well on our way down the slippery slopes and the lefties and special interest groups and cultural groups are quite happy to see this happen - until something affects them. Then they will scream bloody murder. Right and wrong no longer exist - now it is laws are for those who do not have "the cultural excuse". Nobody is guilty anymore. Numerous example - not worth re-producing. Borg

Actually, if you had used that name (Iraqhaditcoming) there would have been at least a dozen canuckleheads jumping on your ass within seconds - but because you choose to use a name that might be considered to be a put down of the U.S. of A. - and brought it to a canuck forum - those same canuckleheads will support you big time. You may have found a home after all. Borg

What? And continue to import even more trouble? And you want my tax dollars to help this happen? You got to be smoking something illegal. No apology from me - this idea sucks the big one. Borg

What?? No blessing with that? Darn .... Borg

McGuinty to Flaherty: Back Off

jack layton? Who is jack layton? Heard about a traitor the military call taliban jack - would this be the same guy? Surely no one would take this jack guy seriously. Borg

Love his posting name. How original. I would be this is another limp wristed canucklehead sucking on mommy's tit and borrowing daddy's car. Borg

Nothing like not allowing a man to express an opinion. Of course if this had happened in kebek and had been a franco vs anglo thing everyone would accept it as normal behaviour. Here of course, everyone wants to throw the big r word around. How typically canucklehead and how typically limp wristed. Borg

Time to turn that entire part of the world flat and black - let it glow in the dark for 10,000 years. This will go on until long after I am dead - and even here on these boards the people who would seek to blame one over the other. Fact: Stop kicking the bee hive (Israel) and the bees will stop stinging. However the fact is there are lots more schitzen distrubers wearing towels on their head who actually PROFIT from this. Hell wasn't that little turd arafat a multi-millionaire when he died? Yet the little murderer happily let his own starve. Leave the Jews alone. They will not bother anyone. Kick them and they fight back. The only reason there has not been serious islamic removal is world opinion has held Israel in check. The world is going to get tired of the islamics someday and it may be sooner than later. When that happens we are all in for a big ho-down. Borg

Canada Last In Animal Cruelty Laws
Borg replied to bush_cheney2004's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
I knock down more than a few animals every year. Some for food and some because they need to be killed and yes some for sport. And yes I enjoy the kill as much as I enjoy the chase. It is fine to rant about the actions of a few who are definitely not main stream people. It is not fine to claim the laws need to be changed because of these same people. Rest assured those new laws will be applied in ways they were not intended. Some lawyer, some where, will make a lot of money and some judge, some where, will allow changes to be made which will affect us in a manner we cannot today predict. You may not be able to eat affordable meat if things go as some would wish. To some this will not matter. To others it will. But when the laws prevent us from growing grains because we affect some form of wild life - we are treading on dangerous ground - and do not think this is a wild idea - it has been attempted and is being attempted today. Beware of what you ask for and beware of profiteers in the animal protection gig and legal schisters who would strive to make these changes - often for reasons of money - camoflauged by heart rending crocodile tears. updated:US watch list at all time high again! 900,000
Borg replied to kuzadd's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Considering the population of the U.S. of A. is more than 300 million I do not see this as an extraordinarily high number. New and better methods of investigation and monitoring will always find more bugs under the rocks. Borg -

Nearly 3 million Americans in Jail
Borg replied to trex's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Interesting thought and it might have merit - but if restricted to the home - does that mean they get their food bought and paid for? Utilities and mortgage? Sounds like a good deal to me. Minor crime - live at home and be guaranteed to make all my bills - move ahead financially - and live on the tax payers dollar. Like your idea but hate the thoughts of someone GAINING by his criminal behaviour. Borg -

Borg replied to trex's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The thread title shows almost glee at the issues in the U.S. How canuckleheadian. Your comments about capital punishment may be true - I strongly suppport killing killers - but to compare the U.S. system to the "world leaders" you like to tout is misleading - however Amnesty International pamphlets do make excellent ass wipe. As for parole - we have our share of horror stories on the street. Coming to a country near you? We ourselves are in danger of many of the same things. If only because we think we are so pure in our leftist world. I never thought I would be defending the Yanks - in fact they do a fine job themselves - but your arrogance in this matter is quite typical of canadians as a whole. One of the reasons they are not so well thought of in the world as many parochial canuckleheads might think they are. The maple leaf on the back pack is not always a welcome sign in many countries today - if only because we tend to project our "purity" - at the expense of others - much like you are doing here. Borg -
Been there done that - doing it again in July. Part of the game. Risks are known, accepted and taken by all concerned. Media trashed this - his men will be pissed as well. Nothing like the civilian world. Your casual answer shows little knowledge of the dynamic. But then again we will never know as you can lie to your hearts content. He was - I believe (old school term) - a FAC - calling in the heavy iron. Tough and dangerous work - everyone on the opposing team wants you dead. Apparently did it real well - I salute him. Borg
-
If it does cost him his job, canuckleheads are no where near as smart as they think they are. Borg
-
He will follow orders - but to answer your question. No. He knows he must do this despite the risks. I suspect his men support him in this - as do I. Borg
