  1. In all actuality I am not so sure we are getting the truth on this matter. You on the other hand seem quite prepared to believe it is a one way street - perhaps you need to look at this differently. These guys do not like each other. How do we truly know who is telling the truth? Otherwise it is simply be the yapping of "kick me" sized dogs and the media loves it. It gets played and people take sides. I figure Williams is an ass. Be that as it may, it is time to bury the hatchet and start afresh. Put on the big boy pants and start running the country / province - get over it boys. Borg
  2. Toss him - sooner the better. Borg
  3. I know it is a double standard, but I have to admit I would probably not have walked away from her if I had been a student. In fact there were several teachers that I knew while in high school and college that I would have jumped at the chance to bed down with. A tempest in a tea pot. Borg
  4. Ignore economics? Suzie simply does not worry about money he has enough and for damned sure does not care about you or me. Ignore economics at huge peril - unless of course you are plannig to make money obsolete. Not a bad idea, but highly unlikely. As for dion - keep that guy in place - please!!! Borg
  5. You've already got your kids - why not get in shape and join up - take up one space - save the race from extinction? You can join until 50 or 55 now. I am sure you could also use those human rights folks to get you on board. And at the same time you could have a regular income!! Borg
  6. Has the star ever written anything positive about the cons? Seems they were a liberal bag carrier in the past. Have they changed? Methinks not. Borg
  7. Ahh yes! Toronto!! The centre of well being for the entire country of canada. So glad you are there. Good place for you. Folks I talk to on a daily basis come from coast to coast. While they have complaints about the cons, as a whole those complaints are localized. Overall they are not unhappy with the way things are going. Borg
  8. This person should never be allowed back into this country. It would not be a bad idea to send all of his family packing to their point of origin. After all they are publicly committed supporters of terrorism. Or do you support them as well? Regards Borg
  9. Actually the northern most section of Scotland is only at 60 north and heavily moderated by the warm currents - winters are short and mild by any comparisom. Look if it makes you feel better I will say - and have said - there are areas that do not apply. Generally speaking the entire Euro area is far, far warmer than canada. Having travelled Europe extensively and some associated countries under the guise of work many times I can assure you that they do not put up with anything like the average canucklehead in canada. They also do not have the lengthy drives to get to work or to the nearest town. In fact all of Europe could easily fit into Ontario or Quebec. Just because a country is in a northern latitude does not mean it is cold. Last one from me on this - if only because it leads to nothing other than a discussion with someone who will not ever understand - you win. Borg
  10. There will always be small exceptions and no one will deny - have not been to Finland, Norway or Denmark for some many years - but for the most part they do not have the weather we do as the winters are moderated by oceanic currents. I have never been to Latvia and Estonia so cannot comment but their populations are quite diminutive asnd they do not benefit from the vast natural resources we have. Scotland? Warm compared to what you and I are used to. I was there last year at this time and quite enjoyed the weather - did not have to wear anything more than a light windbreaker. Despite your weak attempt at humour, what I wrote is quite true. Borg
  11. Hell no! I have enough carbon credits I can simply continue polluting at my pace and my price. After all credits are where it is at. Even that creature worshipped by the environmental clowns - suzuki - claims carbon credits are where it is at. Maybe I will even sell a few and let somone else fund my polluting ways. I might even build a new house and get a vacation with whatever is left over. Or buy even more land. Gotta' love kyoto and what it will do to my bank account. It is a scam, but I figure I might as well let some fool part with their cash and give it to me. Glad I followed Mr. Twain's advice and own land. Bring on the carbon traders - I cannot wait. Borg
  12. Now that oil has hit 100 bucks a barrel I wonder what the price of "motion lotion" will climb to? As for the Euro folks. It is rare they need to heat their house for 7 months (or more) of the year, drive more than an hour to work, depend upon vehicles to keep the economy moving or for that matter - even more rare - to not have mass transit available for the working class. When Canada has a system to move folks to and from their place of employment - including those who live outside the sphere of influence of the major cities - then and only then will we be able to stop complaining about the price of fuel. Sometimes we live where we live because we MUST - not because we want to. Borg
  13. And still a hottie!! Borg
  14. Control of power and money. It can be done - tell the biggest lies and be believed. Borg
  15. It is nothing more than a money grab. Follow the money Tales of belief and religion and rights are not to be believed. Cash is all they want. Cut them a cheque and kick them loose. Make it a no kidding final payment. Any later disagreement - jail them. For a long time. Borg
  16. The "Creature" is a politician and a liberal - not to be trusted to say or do anything that does not benefit HIM and then the party. He is simply ensuring he is cleared when history tells his sorry tale. Borg
  17. Actually, WE may have - but the vast majority of the world has not. Be that as it may, to answer the question: Both . Borg
  18. Interesting posts. The nicest people in the world can do the most horrible things and be quite comfportable about it. Once it is over those who were the worst can yet again become the nicest neighbours. That "skin deep" mantle of manners is easy to discard under the correct circumstance. Anyone denying this has never (and hopefully will never) had the opportunity to see or participate. Borg
  19. As a person involved in many different apects of several different businesses I am predicting a down hill run for the next few years. Despite economists telling us about how well we have done and how things are going, I have seen a distinct lessening in the loose coin in the average workers pocket. Business may still be making money, and regional areas may still do well, but Joe Sixpack is going to find it a lot harder overall as the jobs leave, prices rise and yes, interest rates go up. Borg
  20. Unlike a certain South American country, there is no move afoot to have a "Canadea's Own" gas price or policy. If we did, we would likely have an incredible growth in the economy. Especially if we truly did have a system that demanded Canuck ownership in new business. Rather than selling off we could actually be owning the country. Borg
  21. At least once - and a few other things as well. Borg
  22. Seal flippers and liver! Club 'em and eat 'em. Mmmmm ...... Borg
  23. I read it and had a good chuckle. The writer is closer to the truth than many might want to admit. Borg
  24. I wish I could. At present the bullet seems to be the only answer. Not what I want - but until life has a value (there, not here) - and tribe over flag goes away - things will not change. It is just that simple - unfortunately people who do not live it will never get it. One cannot transfer their values to another culture by "wishing it". Borg
