  1. That is my point as well. I have no allegiance to the FBI, Democrats, etc. I simply have no patience for those who get sanctimonious and self-righteous and then have little direct, incontrovertible evidence to back it up. In short, they expect someone to believe them because they are passionate and can fill in the blanks.
  2. A lot of unanswered questions and unknowns. You act as if you have 100% of the information. I know that you are not an FBI agent nor do you have any access to the conversations that were had before this. You are reading tea leaves and pretending to be an expert.
  3. This tells me that you are guessing. You have no actual intel or verifiable information. Righteous armchair expert. Believe it or not.. my skepticism is not based on allegiance. Its based on simply being skeptical and being a critical thinker no matter what I come across. I know that you can't comprehend such a thing.
  4. he did the right thing and his actions were legal. Do i think that he could have avoided the death of Neely? yes. However, that was not the case and Neely passed away.
  5. It is petty to pick on someone for spelling but if you expect to be taken seriously maybe not have such obvious typos.
  6. interesting that the OP can't even spell it correctly.
  7. of course you do.. because it is what you want to hear. I could fabricate a whole litany of conspiracy theories and as long as the bad guys are liberals.. you would believe it unquestioningly.
  8. I do not know about a depression. But the reason that the inflation will occur is because some of these goods are not produced in the US and so either we pay higher prices or produce them domestically. To produce them domestically would mean building facilities and a whole litany of processes that would take 2 to 3 years at the absolute minimum.
  9. Not sure but if he does impose the tariffs (not just use them as a chesspiece), there will be inflation in the short term. Short term being the primary element.. folks only care about now not next month.
  10. might be the first truly realistic, honest thing I have heard him say. it is difficult. Not only is it difficult but it will not happen instantly.
  11. the DOGE will face incredible legal obstacles if they try to simply lay off the staff. There is no indication yet that they intend to do so but once someone has been employed for 2 years.. it is very difficult to fire them. Like it or not.. that is the reality. State governments probationary periods are usually 1 year and federal is 2. The legal costs incurred by trying to lay them off would far outweigh the savings of not paying them.
  12. Worst president.. simply a matter of opinion and nothing less. I would not say that he is the worst but then also have only lived during the time of 8 president (starting with Carter) so not exactly a complete sample size.
  13. purely from a legal perspective.. they got it right. As for him being some hero, I would not give him that honor. You can do so if you want to but not myself.
  14. In short, you give them a free pass for their ignorance. They can't help it... they have no choice but to believe him. Well, that does not work for me. I believe that folks have choice over what information they ingest and what they do what that information. My guess is that you would tell us that you are free to believe what you do...
  15. So you are saying that they are of low intelligence and so are not to blame for their words/actions? Interesting theory. I do not subscribe to that.
  16. SS/Medicare simply need a different funding formula. Demand> supply due to an aging population. Benefits paid need to decrease. On the supply side, they could use some automation as a way of cost savings.
  17. Low information voters are a fact of life no matter the time nor place. Just because the content is out there does not mean that folks will access it and actually understand it.
  18. And let me guess.. the gullible who eat up his content are not to blame in any way? I blame the consumer who makes the dumb decision not the salesmen who peddle it.
  19. DOGE is going to run into bureaucratic and legal roadblocks. This will take more than 4 years to accomplish.
  20. A true journalist does not have evident bias. Carlson is nothing but bias. Again, he caters to a certain audience and I can't blame the guy for milking it for all its worth.
  21. the lab leak story is another lack of folks having so little critical thinking. Expert xyz claims that its the only way it could happen. In short, supposed to believe him blindly. They have no actual video evidence to back this up so its just guessing as to how it spread from the lab(s).
  22. Carlson is successful. He caters to a certain audience. If I was him, I would keep doing it. Only so many opportunities to make a fortune. That being said.. I do not respect him nor any other political pundit.
  23. This simply further affirms my belief that true critical thinking is a lost art. If it sounds good on the surface, most types like those on this forum, will not only believe it but adamantly defend it. This documentary while well made technically operates firmly in the fill in the blanks world. Leaps of faith are not my style. X and Y happen.. they must be connected.. does not work for me.
