  1. "The shooter was a 17-year-old female student from Abundant Life Christian School, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press. The official was not authorized to discuss the ongoing investigation and spoke to the AP on the condition of anonymity. She was found deceased at the school. " Interesting how you can't tell their political affiliation from this? It is always assumed that the shooter is a diehard political supporter. The lesson is maybe.. maybe just maybe one should wait for the information to be there.
  2. This is long term thinking which would probably not pass a legislature. That being said, I would support this as well.
  3. In short, he is trying to say that we should prioritize the lives of the kids over individual gun ownership. Well.. hate to burst the bubble but this is not some binary choice. Can't simply click one box and then submit and be done.
  4. completely off topic. So in short, you have no problem with folks making assumptions instead of relying on solid info. That's all you have to say.
  5. Those ratings are not actually all that high. Conservatives are far more likely to source their news from Cable TV and radio than liberals.
  6. Even if the second amendment was to be repealed right now (I know, it will not happen), shootings such as this would still happen. There are too many in circulation for gun laws to be truly effective.
  7. Struck a nerve? No, I simply prefer to rely on solid info. If there is no info or not enough, a rational person does not make assumptions or fill in the blanks.
  8. Well I am objective. I do not assume based on bias. I prefer to act upon solid info not warm and fuzzy feelings.
  9. "suspect".. this is another way of saying that you are biased and can't be relied on to be objective. No matter who the shooter is.. you will contend that they were a leftist. You would have been 100 % wrong in the case of the Las Vegas Shooter.
  10. in short, you have nothing to back this up. I prefer to actually have information to back up my assertions. I know that we differ on that front.
  11. In fairness... you should wait until you have actual information but I know that is too much to ask.
  12. That is exactly it. Had harris won, her ratings would still have declined. But their candidate lost and so time to move on to something else until 2028
  13. do you notice something? There is nothing political about the article YET. But that will not keep the internet trolls of the world from fabricating something.
  14. At best, its a nebulous term. There is no hard and fast definition that fits every situation.
  15. what is this curious word or phrase?
  16. So why do you fill in the blanks? I know that if Robosmith was filling in the blanks.. you would point out ad nauseum. So you are guessing and then acting like its authoritative.
  17. Your entire post admits to there being unknowns or gaps. I am not the type that makes accusations when there are unknowns or gaps
  18. maybe you could do some editing of your text..
  19. Unlike you, I need better and more complete information to draw a reasoned conclusion. You acknowledge that there are gaps in the information set and so fill in the blanks.
  20. Lucky for them.. most of their contributors work remotely.
  21. So do you have the exact details to back up your assertions.. who, what, when, where? As well as proof of the conversations with no summarizing or assumptions?
  22. "Disinformation" is subjective mostly. If we have issue x and I post an opinion that person X disagrees with... that is disinformation according to most.
  23. What would satisfy me is explicit written documentation or video that lays out the who (with actual names), what (exact plan with time and place) and where. No guessing or filling in of the blanks. Its possible that the FBI is not telling you every single detail and not because they are conspiring. Law enforcement regularly does not tell the public every single detail of a case.
  24. I guess good for him. This honor or award is fairly meaningless in the big picture. It will probably get them a few subscriptions.
  25. Hmmm.. such an intelligent response. If you had the answer, you would simply say it. Instead of saying that you do not know.. you have to resort to this ^^^^
