You didn't that's for sure, and of course they did. They're people the same as you are on their corporations have paid a large hunk of the tax money that has helped build our country That makes no sense. Drinking a little early this week? A rare case where we agree. Sure grampa

Yep. And you've said it before. But if you'd like to clarify your point you were trying to make now maybe you should do that LOL That's what you say when you know i'm right and you're angry about it You've been QUITE specific and vocal about your dislike of democracy and freedoms, on many occasions going back years. LOL you've probably been 'saying it for decades now". And in fairness that's in keeping with liberal thinking these days and the left in general. So that makes some sense.

You were literally just arguing in favor of it If you mean by pointing out that the number is actually zero then sure, perfectly valid The only one so far that has made the argument that canada should have this type of service because china somehow did it is you. Conservatives have pretty much said there doesn't seem to be the need for it yet. It just woudn't do enough good to justify it. The good news tho is that i doubt carney has any intention of building it. Your buddy is just trying to come up with announcements to win the by election. -
ROFLMAO aww kid ... you go ahead and tell yourself whatever lies you need to in order to sleep at night, we understand.

Absolutely close. Which is why you can't address it which is why you're trying to deny the obvious. We don't give them anything. They have the freedom to start a business and produce a product. They've done that and people purchase the product. They've worked hard to build a successful company and keep literally millions of people employed. The hard work pays off and they make profit. We don't give any of it If we're talking about oil then for the most part Alberta's government. But it's not the resources that are being taxed, carbon taxes apply to fuel that was made outside of canada often with oil from outside of canada. or did you forget THAT? LOL Trying to change the subject and lie your way out of a position you don't like yet again i see:) Nice try kiddo

Aww sorry, i seem to have made you cry again I guess it's all you can do really

I always know what I'm talking about. Unfortunately it is you who frequently has absolutely no idea what anyone else is talking about, you get confused and then you get angry And as has been told to you a million times, that's not everyone else's fault that's your fault But as usual you ignore the science, you ignore the references, ignore everything else that doesn't fit into your ideology and then you want everything to be someone else's fault The carbon tax puts us an extensive amount of inflation on our food. Food should be at about 2% inflation normally, for other countries right now it's about 3% due to worldwide and other pressures, we're at about 7% depending on the month. How about 1 to 2% of that is due to 'carbon tax' related taxes etc. About another 1 to 2% is due to government policies other than fuel and energy taxes As a result here we are with the highest food inflation by far of any G7 nation month after month. It's really not hard to work out. Was that reply too long? I know sometimes you start crying if it's more than one sentence because it makes your brain hurt Keep your mother out of this

Sure it is. And you don't like it so you ignore the answer. Oil companies earn the money they earn. The gov't is taking money without giving anything in return . So of we're talking 'bonanza' being a sudden increase in actual wealth the gov't's take is far larger given the fact it's COMPLETELY unearned. And the fact is the gov't taxes the oil solid so no matter what they're going to do better. As to your question, if you want more specific comparisons: The Canadian federal government collects billions of dollars annually through its carbon pollution pricing program (about 6 billion) The us oil companies MIGHT make a few billion from the current prices, but have real risks of similar losses after the war is over as we have seen happen before. So either way the Canadian gov't is coming out ahead

So you're saying freedom and democracy are the problem Well you HAVE spoken out against both strongly before so i can't criticize you for being consistent.

Uhh, i replied directly to the "Found a technicality' post which was far from your last one As i noted it's not a technicality, it's an actuality LONG (yes long) before there was a canada slavery had been completely abolished. Decades before, most of the people who signed the confederation wouldn't have been old enough to even own a slave before it was banned completely. ANd before that slave trade wasn't allowed for like a hundred years, and the only slaves were ones that people brought from places where it was legal. And even then it was legal. To put it in perspective, its pretty much the same time as there was between now and before there was an internet. Sure, there's people alive today (myself) who remember a world before internet, but most people would say that's a long time ago and the world has completely changed. Same thing. most adults today can't remember a time without cell phones and internet and social media. So yes i replied to your post, yes slavery was gone LONG before canada became a country, no that's not a technicality, and honestly i have NO idea why on earth you're being so weird and strangely stubborn about this. Canada never had slavery. The closest we came to slavery was indentured servitude. Which was bad but not quite the same thing

Inflation under conservative government was fairly minor. And it was extremely short-lived Inflation under the liberals has lasted for half a decade and is extreme. We never saw a year after year of 7 and 8% food increase in pricing the way we do Everyone remembers harper's time, everyone remembers that they could easily afford food. Everyone now realizes they can't. What the left likes to try and pretend is that a small amount of temporary inflation which is corrected quickly is the same as massive amounts of inflation that go on indefinitely If you having to lie to make your point

No that's who we conquered and settled. I mean those people sold their own women, kept slaves, made war on their neighbors constantly, and despite being in a mineral resource heaven couldn't figure out even how to make copper weapons and we're still banging stones together to try and get fire We freed the women and the slaves To the bloody and tyrannical nations that existed before

It really is a lefty thing. Even under Trudeau you didn't see a lot of the right Wingers here Start a whole lot of threads like this. Sure we'd all insult him but the threads were about specific things he'd screwed up and why with reasoned arguments, not just 'Justin man bad!!" this is a little sad to watch, they're driven entirely by hatred and anger over the guy and can't even articulate why very clearly.

Which pipeline is the government currently investing in? Only one I know of that they invested in in the past was one that they screwed up the private investor for through incompetence and had to take over Maybe just get out of the private sector's way and watch the magic happen If Carney offers a 12 billion dollar grant to promote welding rods in Canada the way he has for some of his other company affiliates then yeah, we have a problem

Are Alberta Separatists Committing Treason?
CdnFox replied to TreeBeard's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Why would they be? The oil they can Frack there doesn't work in the refineries they need it to. Nobody was interested before the ban either. People ARE signing up for this tho Canada, Nova Scotia launch offshore licensing round as basin opens for oil, gas investment Turns out there IS a rush to invest when gov'ts get rid of laws. That is a lie. The oil companies were clear that they'd be interested in pipelines under the right regulatory circumstances -

CdnFox replied to CrakHoBarbie's topic in Religion & Politics
I didn't give you anything for it. So it would seem that if I'm worth anything at all I'm still worth more than you LOL -
Well considering the oil companies actually DO something and provide something for what they sell and the gov't does squat all for it, i'd say its less deserved at any rate
-
????????? That made no sense at all. Did you forget what we were talking about and just about whatever popped into your head?

Kid. This is math so easy that even you can do it. If you add billions and billions and billions of dollars in tax there's no way for that not to affect the price by an equal amount And previously i showed you how dalhousie demonstrated that most of the other 'studies' grossly underestimate the impact, and i even spelled it out earlier for moonbox in terms so simple even a liberal could get it. If it's such a tiny amount of money in your estimation, then why not simply cancel it? Get rid of it for all agricultural production and transport entirely including things like fertilizer and all of the things that support it I mean if it has such a low impact we would hardly even notice it was gone right? So what's the problem?
