I happen to agree that people should have the right to decide whether they are to live or to die. I don't have a problem with that option being available But I have a problem with is when the government or the medical community pushes it as a solution. When it's a recommendation, not a request A number of our veterans were offered it instead of treatment when struggling with stress disorders It is frequently been mentioned that it has been brought up to people who are suffering significant illnesses which are treatable It's even becoming a cure for homelessness. People that can't afford to get into a care facility are being encouraged to consider this option That I have a problem with. The government should not be using this as a substitute for medical treatment or for providing services and they are

A Wealth Tax Would Severely Harm The Economy
CdnFox replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
True, you binches won't even pay their way, you make them WALK all the way on their own and THEN turn them into slaves! All for discount zucchini! -
Nope. The boomers did not walk on the moon or send anynoe there, Armstrong was born in 1930, so he was the silent generation. So were most if not all of the scientists and nasa team that designed and built the rocket. The silent generation went to the moon with slide rules. Millennials went there now. (with a little help from gen x) And it was Gen x who built those laptops and iphones. Of course the millennials are the ones doing it now for the most part. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Are Alberta Separatists Committing Treason?
CdnFox replied to TreeBeard's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Well, truth be told alberta isn't as much of the national revenue as it thinks But there's no doubt that the feds would feel it, they are a strong net producer. But while there would be adjustments if ONLY alberta left quebec and the maritimes would still be fine more or less. But. I don't believe for a moment that if alberta did go they'd be the only ones. Sask would follow shortly. And honestly i don't think bc would want to be out there with two provinces between them and the east, and with less voting power now that the other western provinces were gone. So i think bc would quite likely look at it as well. There have been a few times when bc actuallly polled higher for separation than alberta has, a fact often forgotten. BC wont' go on it's own, but if canada is broken up already why not stick with the west? I'm not sure about the territories, they may wait and see for a bit and then go with whomever looks more financially solid when the dust settles. And manitoba is a little hard to be sure about but i've spent a lot of time there, and in the end i think they'd rather be part of a western canada than an eastern, and have more of a say in the gov't. In the east they'd have no voice. So i think if alberta left what we'd see is they would shortly teach Carney a whole new version of 'floor crossing', eventually picking up all the western provinces and probably the yukon over a period of a few years. And it would honestly take that much to create a stable, solid country with long term viability. Oil won't be king forever, but when you look at all the resources and food production and water and minerals etc etc as well as the tech and movie and other fields if you had a united western country of some sort you'd be able to make a pretty good go of it. -
You'll need your equity card for that soon enough

While it may seem intuitive that if you have a thing you have it's opposite as well, that's not true. Just as you can have selfishness without empathy. About all you can say is that a person who has one should theoretically have the capacity for the other, but that doesn't mean they experience it. Both pride and shame require some trigger and some people just don't have the trigger for one or the other or both. If we define pride as being a sense of self worth derived from seeing the value of a personal or group achievement or social status then unfortunately there have been many times and examples in history where people had pride but no shame Which is unfortunate I agree with you completely, you're right when you say that trans people are just dragging us down. Honestly you phrased that very well.

Are Alberta Separatists Committing Treason?
CdnFox replied to TreeBeard's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
That was the implicaiton. We want them to be shut down and crippled as much as possible as long as we can still squeeze the cash we need out of them. So we'll pass laws to make sure most of the oil stays in the ground and tax the rest so that there's nohting left -
Did you mean an equity card? I hear you'll need that to get services soon too.

As Dion famously said, "we don't want to KILL the cash cow..." -
Still haven't quite sobered up? Fair enough, have a cookie and a nap, you'll be fine. More like an economy on socialism. Which burns pretty fast. Then you'll blame harper LOL

Toronto-Quebec City High-Speed Rail
CdnFox replied to 500channelsurfer's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
No, there is no business case for this here. Japan has 123 million people in a country Less than half the size of British Columbia. So they have the population to make it make business sense Same with Europe. It makes sense. It does not make sense here. We do not have the business case, we do not have the population to support it, there is no indication it will ever be used anywhere even remote and if it does it'll be 40 years down the road. Which means we should be building at 30 years down the road Again, i haven't seen you present a single fact or figure, never mind an actual business case, to show why we will have a net benefit from this or a timeline. So far it's just been crying about how all the cool kids have one and you want one too but that is NOT A GOOD REASON. -
And apparently one or two who are liberal supporters it would seem I guess some people just like to watch the world burn

Yes i don't what? Ohhh Sunday night. right , i guess you were still on 'weekend drinkie time'. Fair enough

It's true, blacks in the Caribbean and America were enslaved by blacks, not whites. The whites just owned them after they'd become slaves. And not just the asians and jews were treated badly but groups like the irish (esp in canada but even in the us ""No Irish Need Apply" (NINA) signs and advertisements were prevalent in 19th and early 20th-century US and British cities, symbolizing intense anti-Irish discrimination. While some historians once questioned the physical existence of such signs, research confirmed they appeared in newspaper ads, shop windows, and workplaces, especially in New York and Boston." It weren't just blacks who had it tough after slavery, lots of groups did. But they worked at it and as you say now they thrive.

Not exactly, ... I say "I'm good enough, i'm smart enough, and doggone it people like me compared to Barquentine!" And i appreciate your making that possible! LOL you poop your pants every time you're given facts and you pretend someone ELSE is the childish one LOLOL Kid, you prove me more right and adult with every post Ok, well you're certainly entitled to that viewpoint. So this is precisely what i said (about prayer anyway). Soooo not quite sure why you're pointing that out? Unless you just mean you agree with me more or less and here's why? So not the same thing. As i said. You were the one who claimed they were synonymous. All i said is they're not and they affect the brain very differently. You're kind of agreeing with me very aggressively IT's very weird. You literally just agreed with everything i said, after initially disagreeing with what i said LOLOLOL you: "Here's some random stuff i came up with" Me: "That information is incorrect" You "WELL HERE"S MY PROOF THAT YOU"RE RIGHT!!! HAAA!!! I SURE TAUGHT YOU A LESSON!! DERP!!" uh huh. Usually if you disagree with someone you take a DIFFERENT opinon not the same one Prayer and meditation are not the same thing and have different effects on the brain. Prayer is a powerful tool (not that meditation isn't) and science has noted it does the things i'd previously mentioned. The deity you pray to does not have to exist to enjoy this benefit, you just have to believe in it enough. LOL maybe you should meditate and pray more?

Trump was never convicted of rape. If you have to lie to make your point you have a bad point -
But you support immigration. Can't have it both ways
