  1. You don't know but you've brought your kids to it five or six times? What do you feel is more important for kids normalizing drag queens or normalizing disabled people? Why aren't there any disabled people's story hours?
  2. I can point out that 44% of the vote would be considered a smashing victory in most Western countries, including Canada. And that the polls taken since then have repeatedly shown that if there were another election, Hamas would win. The ones taken since Oct 7 show the great majority of Palestinians approve of/are proud of the attack on Israel.
  3. Probably because people other than the far left weren't even aware this was a thing until it began appearing in the media. Society didn't make much fuss over people molesting kids either until they actually understood this was a thing. As far back as the 1980s nobody paid the least attention to kids saying their coach, scoutmaster, teacher, doctor or priest was doing things to them. SNL used to have a regular child molester character (buck henry) and the audience would laugh as he tried to get other cast members who were pretending to be kids to reach into his pocket or sit on his lap. Now suppose you tell me why all these parents want guys in wildly oversexualized costumes of women read to their kids. You know drag queens have been very closely associated with street prostitution for decades, right?
  4. Why did the Palestinians vote them into power when they made it very plain they would institute an Islamic state under Sharia law? Was it that or the "we'll kill all the Jews, too." part?
  5. Drag Queen story hour is just such an absurd reach for the freaks of the Left to use. It's not inclusive and not designed to open kids eyes and be more inclusive. The parents do it because they want to give the middle finger to the Right, and preen about how virtuous and progressive they are. They don't give a damn about their kids being exposed to whatever. As someone or other pointed out, there's a minuscule amount of drag queens out there. Why is it necessary for children to think that's normal? There's tons of disabled people but nobody is having a 'disabled person story hour' to get kids to feel accepting of disabled people. The liberals like to pretend all this outrage over drag queens being with children is an invention of the evil right, but it's merely them reacting in an utterly predictable way to deliberate provocation by the Left. Provoking the right is the ONLY reason people do this. And then they go "Hmph, why are you being so outraged? Drag queens are utterly normal! Bigot! Learn to be more open-minded like us!" Except, of course, they're not the least bit open-minded. They're harshly judgemental and despise anyone who doesn't ahv the same ideological views as them.
  6. You forgot Trudeau. He's eager to start the class war again. He's been blaming the 'rich' since before he got elected, then adding more taxes on... the upper middle class. Which just shows what an incredible lying phony he is.

Maybe we are paying the MF'er to much, that they have enough to gamble with...maybe they need a pay cut...or maybe not freeland wants everyone to cancel their disney subscription as a way of making things more affordable...

  8. The number of young people saying they're gay or lesbian has skyrocketed. Gee, I wonder why.

There haven't been consequences for decades. They're being taught that being gay is a fun, wonderful thing that's all about bright, shiny colors, dancing and parades. This before they even know what sex is.

There have been social consequences up until recently. Bullying, isolation, family acceptance.

  9. Not just flying a flag, but celebrating it. Even the Ontario PCs (Pretend Conservatives) have issued a stern warning that schools are required to 'celebrate' gay pride.
  10. There's no need to even teach about 'pride month'. Anymore than other religious or group celebrations. And some schools do a helluva lot more than just put up a flag. Remember this absurd celebration at a school last year? This is not merely informing. This is grooming. This is making all those little kids who don't even know what sex is think "Gee, I wish I was gay too! It must be really special! How do I become gay too!?" It's not exactly a surprise that with adults pushing this sort of message the number of young people identifying as gay/lesbian has skyrocketed. That would be teaching the sanctity of the male/female relationship, complete with marriage and children, and that anything else is lessor. Most of Canada. The trans explosion is due entirely to the wildly overblown hype and the way the Left, including schools have treated anyone declaring trans as something like a holy and sacred person. It excuses all ills, all errors, and is way better than Gladue at getting you exempted from punishment. Tons of confused kids, kids with mental or emotional health issues have latched onto it to excuse their ongoing problems.
  11. They're not. They want to build an Islamic state just like Iran has, complete with Sharia law. This is what Palestinians voted for 17 years ago. And Hamas has had control of their media, schools and society since then so I rather doubt they've become more moderate. The roots of Pakistan/India come from centuries of Muslim invasions, genocide, and conversion by the sword. That's how most of the people in the northern part of the Indian subcontinent came to be Muslims. The British occupation merely put a temporary hold on the internecine slaughter.
  12. How far back you wanna go? The Arabs started getting antsy about Jews coming in back around WW1, and there were anti-Jewish riots that sometimes killed dozens or more. The early Jewish militias were formed in response to that sort of thing. Then you had a lot of back and forth violence all the way through the British mandate, so they eventually just washed their hands of the whole thing and turned it over to the UN. So I guess it was xenophobic anti-immigrants in Palestine who started it!
  13. It's urgent Canada follows the money in the anti-Israel protests In 2012, the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP) launched its “Follow the Money” project. “The project revealed, for the first time, the existence of substantial Middle Eastern funding (primarily from Qatar) to U.S. universities that had not been reported to the Department of Education, as required by law,” ISGAP reported. “Foreign donations from Qatar, especially, have had a substantial impact on fomenting growing levels of antisemitic discourse and campus politics at U.S. universities, as well as growing support for anti-democratic values within these institutions of higher education.” Qatar, along with Iran, is a principal patron of Hamas. It is a savvy complement to fund Hamas-friendly operations on campus. ISGAP reports that Columbia University, epicentre for Hamas-friendly campus activism, has received nearly US$3.5 million from Qatar. ISGAP reports that Columbia has not reported this money, as required by law. https://nationalpost.com/opinion/its-urgent-canada-follows-the-money-in-the-anti-israel-protests
  14. The funding and organization for all these Pro-Hamas, Anti-Jewish demonstrations and occupations is coming across the border and should be halted. We should ban any funding from any non-Canadian source that seeks to influence Canada or the Canadian government. A series of U.S. probes into anti-Israel funding streams is providing early clues into the financing and organization underlying Canada’s own network of “pro-Palestinian” encampments, protests and blockades. The letter is addressed to National Students for Justice in Palestine (National SJP), an organization whose Canadian affiliates include Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights, the central organizer of an illegal Palestine Solidarity Encampment on the campus of McGill University. The McGill chapter of Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights (SPHR) was behind a March blockade of the site of the Montreal Holocaust Museum as well as several targeted shutdowns of McGill’s Bronfman Building, which is named after Jewish philanthropist Samuel Bronfman. In recent weeks, McGill administrators have denounced SPHR for “threatening” tactics, including hanging Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in effigy, and dispatching masked crowds to the homes of school administrators. National JSP itself is open about its Canadian operations, writing on its website that it supports “two hundred Palestine solidarity organizations on college campuses across occupied Turtle Island (U.S. and Canada).” https://nationalpost.com/opinion/u-s-probes-provide-clues-to-where-canadas-anti-israel-money-is-coming-from
  15. That would be a good point if the Arabs weren't doing the exact same thing back at the Jews at the same time.
  16. Note that only 1.6% of visible minorities can trace their ancestry in Canada back even as far as 3 generations. 80% are immigrants and 18.3% are their kids.
  17. Someone give me a justification for the ridiculous level of DEI and racist hiring, promotion and grants giving employed by the government. Go ahead. Try. In the latest development, about 40 Canadian university professors have recommended to the House of Commons that diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies in federally funded research be abolished. Such policies have multiplied within the three agencies responsible for funding research, known collectively as the Tri-Council, since the Liberals took office. “These policies disproportionately punish small institutions, are not supported by evidence, employ flawed metrics with no end goal, and are unpopular with the public who funds the research,” they wrote in a brief filed to the House science committee on May 24. Aside from the Canada Research Chairs, other federally funded research initiatives have been bogged down with diversity requirements at the direction of the Liberal government: some undergraduate funding programs have recently been restricted to Black applicants only. Researchers are asked to disclose their diversity status (i.e., whether they are members of preferred groups), and sometimes, they are required to file diversity statements with their grant applications. https://nationalpost.com/opinion/jamie-sarkonak-the-academics-against-dei-movement-comes-to-life-finally
  18. You mean immigrating and buying property? Or were you referring to the utter temerity those Jews had in defending themselves when all the surrounding Arab states attacked them?
  19. How broad does your definition of fascism get that you'd include Maher, a guy who donated a million bucks to the Democrats last election?
  20. That's an odd complaint given Maher is one of the few public liberal personalities who attacks his own side's craziness, and not just the other guys.
  21. But he says things other people don't like and think shouldn't be said, especially by a moderate. All moderates are supposed to confine themselves to attacking Trump and the idiocy of the Right, and leave the idiocies of the Left alone.
  22. If you're incapable of following discussions between people perhaps you should not try to answer them.
  23. He doesn't claim to be an intellectual. He's a comedian. And as for 'echoing' common ideas, he has been expressing what is more like common sense to the vacuous liberal elites for some time now, desperately trying to speak truth to power to get them to pull back from their divisive identity politics before Trump and his ilk take the place over. If they'd listened to him years ago Trump never would have won. And if they'd listened to him last year they'd have a better candidate and Trump still would have no chance to win. And if we were a mature society all this identitarian garbage would have been laughed at and dismissed the moment the academic twits came up with it.
