Maybe if we'd been able to export natural gas to China years ago they'd be using less coal now. We told them our culture didn't exist, and that we were genocidal, colonialist oppressors and racist. We told them we admired THEIR culture and not to change. So they didn't. Muslim culture hasn't much changed in a thousand years. There's no reason to think it will change in the next thousand years because it's based on a religion that can't be changed. It will cost countries near the equator a lot more. The estimates I've seen for Canada is that it will be either neutral, or perhaps -1-2% of GDP. We'll get more floods and drought but also longer growing seasons and more arable land. Besides, like I said, it's not working. CO2 continues to rise driven by those equator countries building more coal plants.

No, it really won't. We could have done major adaptation just with the $200 billion Carney says Trudeau threw away to no effect. Demographics is destiny. Anyone looking at a school, or paying attention to the streets, can see it won't look anything like it did fifty years ago. The culture of the Muslim world is backward and retrograde. Around about the fourteenth century, the Muslim world adapted the Ash'ari school of theological thought, which basically suggests all that mankind needs to know is in the Quran and hadiths. All that happens is the work of God and His will, so you don't need to try to figure it out. Since that time, the Islamic world has stagnated culturally, scientifically, and technologically. It also stagnates economically due to the influence of Islam which prohibits the borrowing and lending of money for interest, and deeply frowns upon earning money from anyone else's labour. Which is why there aren't a lot of large companies/corporations in the Muslim world. Muslim radicals proudly say they will destroy the West with the bellies of their women, who they use basically as breeding mares. I might add that the Quran calls on Muslims to take over the world and grants them permission to murder, rob or rape anyone not a Muslim, as well as to enslave them. It also has no problem with pedophilia. And in many parts of Europe, they look like that's working. Some major cities in Western Europe are now 40% or more Muslim. Sexual assault rates have absolutely skyrocketed as a result. The culture of Indians is less offensive to others. Hinduism doesn't call on its adherents to take over the world or give them permission to kill anyone who isn't a Hindu, for example. But the culture of India is caste-riven and unsophisticated. It's tribal, which is why there is so much crime and scamming. The only people you need to care about are your family and friends. No one else matters. So scamming some old lady out of her life's savings is not something to feel bad about. Indian workers' motto could be 'the least I can get away with'. Although it's also "the most I can steal". Indians don't care about the environment, either, which is why they dump garbage absolutely everywhere. Suffice to say you won't find cutting-edge science or sophisticated culture in India or coming from Indians. A lot of robbery and sexual assaults, though. I have to say it would be the best outcome if we got taken over by the Chinese. They're at least strongly into science and technology, and while still tribal, their social development has progressed a lot over the last fifty years. It's still fairly backward and selfish, not to mention dirty, especially for mainlanders, but better than Indians or Muslims. None of these cultures has much time for feminism, I must say, and women have essentially no power in any of them. Which is ironic given women have been disproportionately supportive of mass immigration, mass migration through refugee acceptances, multiculturalism, and respecting the cultures of newcomers and letting them keep them. They've even politely ignored what the newcomers think of women since, well, brown people can't be expected to know any better, you know. Gays and lesbians have also been broadly supportive of everything regarding multiculturalism. Along with women, they will suffer in a future Canada. So will indigenous Canadians, because I guarantee you none of these groups are going to be willing to fork over billions of dollars a year to keep up the reserves and their corrupt chiefs. A future Canada will probably have a culture that is something of a mix between these three, with a little Africa thrown in for good measure. What it won't be is anything like the culture we had before the Trudeaus threw the doors open wide.

Science and technology are not considered important fields of study in Muslim countries. Islam is.

Far be it for me to defend the crooked Orange shitstain, but whether attacking Iran is a violation of international law is a questionable claim at best. Given that Iran has been funding, organizing, training, and equipping a variety of terrorist/guerrilla entities to make direct war on Israel and murder its citizens (which definitely gives Israel casus belli), Israel has every right under international law to go after them. And the US, as their ally, can certainly assist them. Iran's proxies have also murdered Canadians and Americans, and fired missiles at American and other Western civilian shipping.

By the way, the US has reportedly lost two dozen of them in Iran. We're paying $2.5 billion for 11 of them. Turkey, meanwhile, is selling its drones (these aren't suicide drones, but ones that carry missiles) to such great military powers as Croatia, Saudi Arabia, and Mali. Mali will have sophisticated, long-range armed drones while Canada has none. Doesn't that sound absurd to you?

The countries you mention all got rich on oil that was discovered, developed, and is overseen by Western oil companies and engineers. None of it is their doing. When you see the tall, lovely buildings put up in these countries, look up the architects and engineers responsible. None are local. Almost all are from the West. The only successful (though still poor) Muslim countries are the less strict ones in the Pacific that have large minority Christian/Hindu/Buddhist populations that they allow to do the things Muslims aren't, like running banks and financial enterprises and building large companies.

Of course, populations have been slashed by war and disease many times in the past, sometimes to half their previous size. And you know what happens? People have more children. When the black death killed half the peasants in England, landowners had to increase the pay and be kinder to those working their farms by 400%. Stop immigration, or hugely slow it, and let our population decline. Suddenly, housing costs drop a lot. Workers are more valuable and are paid more. Employers strive to maintain those workers, so they increase benefits and job security. Presto! People start having more kids! And? So what? I was born to a Canada that had half the present population, and it was a pretty good place to grow up.

The ones from the Pacific tend to be more tolerant than the ones from the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia, but they all stifle innovation and freedom. The Muslim world is poor because it's Muslim. These countries all observe Islamic prohibitions on borrowing and loaning money for interest, which means they have very weak and tiny banking sectors. There is also an Islamic thing about not earning money from the labour of another, which has caused there to be almost no major corporations in the Islamic world. They're mostly small, mom-and-pop or family outfits. Starting to see why the Marxists like Islam? Then there's the problem of Islam turning away from science, philosophy, technology, etc. This started around the 14th century with the rise of the Ash'arite school of theology, which basically said you don't need to know anything that isn't in the Quran or Hadiths. All is as Allah wills it. The brightest young boys for centuries have studied the Quran instead of science, engineering or technology. Every time you see a tall, shiny building in a Muslim nation, check out who the architects were and who was hired to build it. Not Muslims. Westerners still mostly maintain the oil infrastructure in the Arab world, too. Muslim countries (2 billion people) have only ever had 4 Nobel Prizes in science. Two were Turkish-Americans, one was Egyptian-American. By contrast, 221 Jews have won the Nobel for Science. I completely agree. The solution is to get an active conservative government in and have it start reversing this. Change the grant structure for universities and for overall education in transfers to the provinces. Get involved in ensuring there is unbiased teaching. Refuse any and all research grants to universities that are slanted. Don't even give any federal loans or grants to students who want to attend courses that are anti-Canadian or Anti-Western, and that includes all those moronic gender studies and feminist studies, etc. classes. Ban racial hiring, promotion, or any other racial or gender hiring and promotion preferences, as well as in the acceptance of students. Stop funding media that do it, too. Fire half the staff at the CBC, take it over, and start putting out patriotic programs and programs that encourage families to have children.

And if you hadn't noticed, Canadian Muslims, just like in other Western nations, ignore all that stuff and vote for the Liberals because their priority is bringing more Muslims in, receiving generous social welfare benefits (many don't work0 and being catered to and pandered to. They'll take care of th e LGBT people when they have the numbers to legally prohibit them. You don't seem to know much about Islam or the history of Muslims. Islam is not something that is compatible with a 'growing civilization'. Islamic countries can barely even be described as civilizations. They're backward, brutal, and barbaric, and their societies, on the whole, haven't progressed in a thousand years. In fact, during my lifetime, they've steadily regressed. They are the death of civilization as well as social, technological, and scientific progress. As for pushing lifestyles on others, Muslims tend to do that with a sword in their fist, and a demand to worship Allah or die.
