No, to allow democratically elected governments to pass laws even if an ideologically bound and unelected bureaucrat in a robe pretends it's unconstitutional. Constitutions don't protect rights when the judges are corrupt. And our judiciary has been corrupted. They no longer care about what is good for the citizenry or the country. They are in ideological bubbles and communicate only with their fellow travelers in the same elite bubbles. Ordinary people are to be ignored and looked down on, for they don't know what's good for them. Only the elites can make those decisions. You don't need any racist laws. You just need to slow immigration and put in place criteria that restrict it to those who are highly skilled and can get a job offer. Then you screen them the way we should have been screening people for decades to remove those whose ideological and social views and values would be damaging to Canadian society.

This is a complete non sequitor and has zero to do with the present situation. This is not the country it was 75 years ago and the circumstances and fears are entirely different. And just because the Jews back then were harmless does not even begin to suggest the Muslims today are similarly harmless. Especially if you're a woman or a Jew or gay.

Bear in mind our progressive taxation system allows over 45% of the population do not pay income tax. In order to 'support' anyone, you have to be sufficiently skilled that you earn a high enough salary to pay income tax. None of these people do or will. The earnings of refugees are usually well below that of immigrants. The earnings of family-class immigrants, who are the majority, are also below that of Canadians. All these Tim Horton workers we're bringing in are going to be sapping resources from health care and other governmental systems but they will not be contributing to their own support, much less that of others. There are NO international laws governing immigration. If there were, countries like Japan wouldn't be able to get away with allowing in almost no immigrants or refugees. Likewise, rich gulf countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar take no immigrants and virtually no refugees. Pakistan is in the process of forcing out the two million Afghanis who took shelter there after the Taliban took over, forcing them back across the border into Afghanistan. And nobody cares.

This isn't the first non-crazy person who has suggested this. Various agencies of the US government have done so, as well.

Nothing Israel has done has harmed Egypt except insofar as Egypt making war on Israel and failing. Repeatedly. If the Arabs in the region hadn't been so relentless in hating and despising Jews that little country could have had a wonderfully beneficial effect on the barbarism and backwardness of the surrounding states. Not to mention helping to uplift their economies.

Maybe our ancestors didn't quite understand the degree of religious fanaticism and hatred so common in the Arab world. Or their belief that once a plot of land is ruled by Muslims it must forever after be ruled by Muslims or Allah is offended and there must be war until the offending religious group are eradicated. Perhaps they should have. That whole area used to be Christian, after all, until the Muslims showed up and butchered many of them, forced most of the rest out or converted them by the sword. Is that what you mean? That there's so much hatred and violence in Islam that the West should have realized that was no place to put Jews?

The Israelis have taken as much care as possible to avoid civilian casualties, far more than any other country has in any previous war. There is no indication or evidence they are deliberately targeting civilians except the screeching of the Left who are hand in hand with the Jew and gay-hating Islamists.

The Hungarians were occupied by a Soviet-controlled government few of them had much affection for. The boat people were Chinese who had been driven out by the Vietnmaese. There was no likelihood either group would have been loyal to the places they'd come from. Not to mention there's a difference between religious fanatics and pretty much everyone else. Nobody said ALL of them are terrorists. However, most of them are likely Islamists, who are the group from which terrorism springs. They also have values that are the antithesis of our own, and a religion that will prevent a lot of them from ever fully integrating. Bullshit. Chicago spends over $29k per pupil to get these schools. New York City public education spends $31k per pupil per year and lots of their schools are crap too. But there's no discipline in the schools. Especially for black kids. Because the federal education department sent a warning/counseling letter to school boards warning them that if they expelled/suspended/disciplined black boys more than white or Asian boys they'd be considered racist and their federal grants would be withheld. But Black boys are most of the problem in schools. They're the ones raised without fathers and they're the ones committing the bullying and violence, not just to students but to teachers. The schools have been run by Democrats for decades. And the federal rules that hamper discipline (not to mention the progressive attitudes of local school boards) are what's responsible for these schools being garbage. It's liberalism/progressive attitudes that have so heavily damaged schools in both the US and Canada.

There are degrees of shady. I'm pretty sure Biden has traded favors for donations and who knows what else during all his time in politics. They all do. I doubt Biden would take money to let Russia have Ukraine or China have Taiwan, though. I don't think Trump would put up much resistance if the cash pile was high enough.. The man would pimp his daughters out for enough money. But what it all boils down to for me is I trust the people around Biden to be competent, even if he is a doddering old man. he's still smart enough to take advice from the experts. Trump clearly is not. Everyone said eight years ago that even though Trump didn't know much he'd have great people around him. And he did, at first. But as soon as they started to disagree with 'his gut' he fired them all. Now the people around him are grifters, kooks, and sleazy yes-men.

I think it's the result of each side's crazies pushing the other side to be even crazier. If Biden did step down the likely replacement would be one of those woke SJW nutters, who would probably lose, so that might play into why he's staying.

I'm no fan of Biden or the Democrats but Trump has been a shady operator his entire life. Always playing fast and loose with the rules and laws. This is a guy who bragged of cutting deals with the mob in New York. He cheated his suppliers and loved SLAP suits. And as I've said before, based on what his own son said (Russian money saved us), it's clear a lot of Russian money went into Trump enterprises after their bankruptcy. Do I think none of that was laundered or from sanctioned sources? Nope. Nor do I think he would care about the law if he thought he could get away with something. He clearly has cheated on his taxes, both personal and corporate, so it's not hard to believe he lied about business expenses to cover up diverting money to his former mistress. Should that be illegal? I dunno, but it always has been. It's also pretty clear from what his own people have said that he deliberately lied and kept top secret documents despite repeated requests to turn them over. Again, illegal. Now, do I think these prosecutors and agencies had a particular reason to investigate Trump and Trump Enterprises because they didn't like him? Sure! But the Republicans had a special investigator pouring through the Clintons' stuff for four years and all he and his staff ever found was that Bill Clinton lied about his mistress during a deposition. And then they spent a couple of years trying to get Hillary Clinton and all they found was she made some emails on her own account and not on the State Departments. I was really hoping Desantis would win the nomination. But apparently, he's not Mr. Charisma. And he never worked up the courage to directly challenge Trump on anything, even the names Trump called him. Meh. The best possible outcome for this is both he and Biden have mutual heart attacks on the stage and someone else is put forward from both camps.

The irony of this election is that if they tossed Trump and put in almost ANYONE else, even Pence, they'd kick Biden's ass - as he deserves, and send him to the retirement home and Harris back to California. Probably win both houses easily too. But they won't do it. Of course, the other part of the irony is if the Democrats got ridden of Biden/Harris and put any reasonably moderate person in to replace them they'd kick Trump's ass, and probably take both houses. Nobody likes either of these guys. One because he's too old and represents the identity politics tribe and the other because he's too lacking in almost everything needed to be president.

You don't know where they buried them or why or with what markers. I'm sure there were records once upon a time. Stuff gets lost after a hundred years.. Never been a fan of the Donald. And yes, people, shockingly, will lie if you offer them a whole lot of money to tell you a story that needs no evidence. Oh, I'm sure some were mistreated. Such was the lot in boarding schools.
