  1. Do you think this is a topic that would change any votes? It certainly wouldn’t change my vote. And I think the average voter has at least 20 other higher priority topics than this that they will base their vote on.
  2. How many jobs do you think there are in the countries that these people are fleeing?
  3. @reason10You’re the first one on my ignore list. Congrats!
  4. If you were poor and starving, what would you do to feed you and your family?
  5. So, you’d like to call black people niggers without any social repercussions …. that’s what I’m hearing.
  6. Everything you post includes insults…. Don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining! LOL
  7. So, you’d like it if it were socially acceptable for you to call black people “niggers” as well?
  8. You actually found an insult that you won’t use? Well, aren’t you just the most reasonable fellow?
  9. Isn’t this provincial jurisdiction? You would blame the Feds for bad weather.
  10. Investigate him and prosecute. The steps aren’t that confusing. When it was Trump, you sure didn’t think he did anything wrong.
  11. Yes. The cancelation was obviously political. They didn’t even take the time to review it to see if it was a good idea or not. Are the Liberals more like the Harper Conservatives than the people here think? At least in terms of military procurement and defence policy?
  12. Yes, I think so. Having bodily autonomy when you’re dead means comfort while you’re alive that your wishes will be respected. I think that’s a non-religious reason. Does an individual have a non-religious reason for hoarding their organs once they’re dead? I don’t know. I can’t think of any… but their bodily autonomy still needs to be respected for the reason above.
  13. It would be nice, as it would save lives of people who are actually living. But it can’t happen. Bodily autonomy goes with the person even when they’re dead, at least to a large extent. There are good reasons for this.
  14. The bodily autonomy argument is the same for giving blood and abortion. We don’t even force dead people to donate organs. The bodily autonomy of the woman is paramount.
  15. We don’t make a parent give blood to a 5 year old. The same bodily autonomy applies to a pregnant woman. Bodily autonomy trumps the fetus’ right to life.
  16. Do you ever visit reality? Maybe just to say hi once in a while? A 6 year old in a gang? LOL Now I’m convinced that you are just playing a caricature of an “American conservative” just for shits and giggles.
  17. You think they just shoot themselves? LOL https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/jan/08/virginia-teacher-shooting-by-six-year-old Instances of children shooting themselves or others unintentionally in the home or other locations, are on the rise, said Daniel Webster, a gun violence expert professor at Johns Hopkins University. “A six-year-old gaining access to a loaded gun and shooting him/herself or someone else, sadly, is not so rare,” Webster told the AP.
  18. It’s not my concern, but this is a discussion forum. It’s just a fact that the guns, guns, guns people in USA tend to ignore. I’m in Canada…. they can shoot each other all they want and it’s not my concern.
  19. This is the best analogy you could come up with…. murdering someone for a job? ? What makes a 5 year olds life less precious than the people who could save it with a bit of their blood, or a kidney?
  20. The claim was that people weren’t going to be allowed to drive their ICEs. The goalposts magically shifted.
  21. why is this in the Canadian Federal Politics section? Did someone blame Trudeau for the Republicans troubles in the House??
  22. You can’t buy leaded gas either. So what? ICE vehicles days are numbered. You will be ok.
  23. Switching to EVs was inevitable. Every Western nation is doing the same thing. You can still drive your ICE. It’s not being banned.
  24. It’s human. I said that exact thing a few posts up. But the woman’s rights to bodily autonomy supersedes the fetus’ rights. Do we force anyone to give blood? Never.
