If India wanted the guy there's a process of extradition to use. If you really think countries have the right to go into sovereign nations and murder people they don't like, you've lost as much moral standing as the USA has. They do it just because they can and no one can do anything about it. Hell, even when someone comes in and cuts someone up to pieces inside the US there's just a minor protest as they'd do it too. But grasping desperately at any straw that could possibly blacken Trudeau, we don't need your opinion. We have the National Post for that.

The Canadians Supporting Trump
herbie replied to Canadian_Cavalier's topic in Canada / United States Relations
Mostly due to his ignorant attacks on Canada. The media here just reported what he did. Their job. He didn't need media help to make himself out as a dufus and enemy of Canada. -
DId Biden appoint family as White House officials? Buy a statue or painting of himself with campaign funds? Sell T-shirts mugs and doodads for personal gain? Hold up trade deals for dirt on opponents? Lie to this day about non existent voter fraud? Personally call State and Election officials to "find him" extra votes? nah, none of those tings were corrupt at all.... he was the Baby Jesus President...

The Canadians Supporting Trump
herbie replied to Canadian_Cavalier's topic in Canada / United States Relations
More like Trump's constant attacks on Canada. P.O.S. was the worst Prez for Canada/US relations ever. Like alost every country citizens regarding him as a bombastic lout and an absolute boor. -
Glad to see CdnFox take a bite out of RedDog. Both my parents came from Alberta and in the early 1970s we'd visit our "farmer" cousins there. Plenty of kids were in our school when their parents & grandparents moved to BC to work at anything but coal mining or farming. Since the oil boom we've heard nothing but whining and snivelling and Ottawa bashing out of the province's lunatic fringe. Even if half the federal cabinet and the PM were Albertans, the gripes continued. I must say the one thing I admired about Trudeau Sr. was how he could p!ss off Alberta and Quebec at the same time. As for the Alberta separatist fools, what would you base your country on? No distinct language. No distinct religion. No distinct culture. No distinct geography. Just for money grubbing reasons? And the misconception it's easier to make trade deals and build pipelines with what would now be foreign countries? You got the best economy in the country, no sales tax, low income tax, people pouring in to live there, the feds built and paid for a new oil pipeline, there's new gas lines you can connect to and you're still whining that it isn't enough? Yeah dream of your own country founded on selfishness and greed.

Bring back the Progressive Conservatives. I could at least think of them without puking a little.... -
FN Woke-ism . . . where will it end.

what would your idea of the "right" know about 'reason'? -
Hmm. Let's think about it: Whenever a coal miner died of lung cancer Whenever anyone ran their car in a closed garage When London go so black and smoggy they were forced to abandon coal heat When that African lake farted and suffocated thousands Whenever there's a forest fire and you breathe the smoke Whenever your furnace or stove doesn't burn it completely Whenever you don't check before going into a cable or other underground vault Yes every 6 yr old knows life is carbon based, but that makes for the stupidest argument ever against stopping climate change. Like the but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China but China one.......

FN Woke-ism . . . where will it end.
herbie replied to Nefarious Banana's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
And what bother me is someone declaring that wanting a more complete and accurate teaching of history is "wokeness". That "woke" is merely a dogwhistle for the extreme right for anything they don't like - as "left" has become to them. How any attempt by any overlooked demographic for acknowledgement of their existence is 'wokeness' and provokes the usual arseholic and childish retort of No! They are discriminating against the rest of us! And although you sometimes make good points that even I agree with, you can't stop with the childish responses. I know you are but what am I is what one would expect in a debate among 10 yr olds. Or Donald Trump... -
What a warped conclusion to arrive at. Teachers are there to teach kids, the parents are supposed to have already learned and it's pretty obvious a lot of them didn't. If you actually think parents have any 'rights' other than to due process required to take their children away from them, you certainly have to understand that there never was, isn't now, and never will be the "right" for parents to teach their children to follow their own hate and discrimination. Be upset or disgusted at LGBTQ all you want trying to raise your kids to be the same is beyond disgusting
-
Nobody needs laws forcing teachers to tell anyone. The instances are few, blown way ot of proportion and most of them would anyway for the parents that bothered to show up on Parent Teacher night. A: how crappy a parent are you if you didn't already know? B: what if the kid didn't want their parent to know and their folks are arseholes? C they're asking teacher to "out" kids violating their rights AND those of the kids. Rights that are there, right in the Charter. Not ones made of wishes. D the usual lying that this parents rally is 'for the kids', when it's only to enshrine parents will to dominate. Not choose, not raise, not inform - dominate. Stupid, unnecessary law to appease the few.

FTFY I'm pointing out how most people are coping with it and gaining. Solar panels save you $$ as does driving a hybrid or not driving every time. No one is really sacrificing anything.

In the 1960s we leaned which side certain bands were on in wars and that residential schools were just like the Catholic boarding schools our cousins went to. And every damn thing about European history. Growing up in the Lower Mainland, I always wondered how the 1/4 of the class that was Chinese felt learning their history didn't even exist. Oh yeah, we learned about the Hanging Judge and 6 Chiefs that got hung for murdering settlers. Just to discover 20 years later it was some natives who retaliated for miners raping their women and they hung the wrong people... So I say qwicherbichin and teach kids the history of their own country. -
So you saying I made "sacrifices" and yours aren't? And then confess you 'need' a 3 ton stinky diesel to get to work? Come on, man! My 20 yr old AWD SUV did the job and now my kid uses it. Only got a 2dr Wrangler because I wanted one and don't have to drive to work anymore. It will be replaced w a hybrid one day.

No PEI demanded a permanent link and that was only possible with ferries. The bridge was only built as the Feds determined it would be less cost in the long run. BC had already merged from the two colonies here so couldn't really make that demand. So they demanded a rail link, a damn good demand as Canada as it is today wouldn't exist. The ferry link as it is was nationalized by our "Free Enterprise" govt back in the days they weren't so snivelling chickenshit they'd abandon the best idea upon the first person whining about socialism.... * the latest bloody bridge across the Fraser cost like $5 billion, a link to Vancouver Island would take 25 years of just the studies costing that much. Trillion dollars and 200 years to complete would surprise no one here. End up as a Skytrain extension, with bicycle racks on every coach. Take the ferry, PITA sometimes but a great trip to sit on deck on a sunny day.

What sacrifices? Sounds like you're unwilling to do dick shit like most cons, just complain. Won't even adapt to save your own money let alone the environment. Progressive Conservative - willing to accept slow change Conservative - unwilling to accept any change whatsoever Pale-Conservative/MAGA - only accepts going backwards and influencing others progress, change and consideration of others or anything around you are dirty words.

In your f*cking dreams buddie. In your f*cking dreams. Absolutely blind to reality and so blatantly bullshit only a troll would post such made up drivel.

Yes, the understanding of history is poor. 50 years later some still think the Vietnamese were fighting for communism.
