US Supreme Court strikes down Roe V. Wade

Yeah you got something there. Force women to give birth, THEN shoot the baby after when pro-lifers don't give a flying fuck about it's welfare. -
School Boards Promoting Homosexuality?
herbie replied to Zeitgeist's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
My that was a babbling load of bullshit. If you're not teaching it, you're promoting it. There's ONLY black or white. Unless it's something I agree with and then there's 256 shades of grey. Therefore, to conclude here's some compulsory political jargon whatever that has to do with it.- 479 replies

Ontario needs to invest in EVs as a realistic Option.
herbie replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
We can build EVS here or we can build them in Mexico and you can work at Wendys. ANd then mock you for wanting a living wage. We can stop researching fuel cells for another 50 years and build some, before another Elon Musk comes around. And we can look at all those dams idling in the middle of the night or we can believe the oil tycoons that the most abundant element in the universe is too expensive to extract. Your choice. I'll go with the neighbour who drove his PHEV all the way to Prince George to burn off the gas before it went stale. Hadn't filled it for 3 months going just to work and town. -
US Supreme Court strikes down Roe V. Wade
herbie replied to West's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Just to clarify things babies are wiggly stinky crying things you can pick up in your arms. You will be punished if you kill, harm or fail to provide one with the necessities of life. Some people not only don't know that but proudly express their ignorance over and over, louder and louder. On Internet forums, not in front of their wife or daughter. And would be first to offer a ride to the clinic if their girlfriend or mistress got pregnant. -
Of course men talk about using abortion as birth control, many think it's as simple and convenient as taking a pill. My ex had a couple, back when she was a young divorced single Mom and basic med didn't cover birth control. When she got a union job she got an IUD, PITA that was while she had it. Then we had 2 kids after we were married, like you're supposed to. Those are the women needing the choice. But rail about it all you want, that's the only right you have. The decision's up to the woman and her doctor. No skin off my nose or yours. 1- You're right it's not happening here. Thank God we're Canucks looking at the shitshow down south. 2- It IS a provincial decision but no province can deny it or make laws restricting it. Providing the optimal level of service is the issue in Canada.

US Supreme Court strikes down Roe V. Wade
herbie replied to West's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Such fucked argument. Proclaiming "God given rights" in the prelude, yet only those written down centuries ago are valid. Yet men claiming the right to decide what women can do with their bodies is in neither. Praising that "rights" can differ from place to place and still call it a nation... Quoting Biblical bullshit, calling women with unwanted pregnancies sluts even thinking 'not fucking' is the solution, well DUH. No matter how high you estimate the number of stupid people there are, the actual number is far higher. -
Seeing as how there's only one mountain separating Babine Lake and I, I'm obligated to point out that 50% of the "local people" are native. Who can and do run fishing and hunting lodges and hire you and your next door neighbour's truck or dozer or snowplow. And I'm unsure of exactly how things will work out, but they won't be any worse than the shitshow that's always been. No more 'centralizing' the MOF and pulling 75 jobs, no more closing the mill and shipping to a supermill somewhere else to cut 500 more, no more raw log exports. Maybe better fire practices too and just perhaps we could see some local stuff in our stores. I'm sick of seeing nothing but frozen Vietnamese sewer fish, frozen New Zealand lamb and Alberta scab meat as our only choices when I can see sheep and cows from my window and the only road goes to Rupert. Take a chance, who cares if your paycheque is issued by Borg Inc. or the Band Office.

The heart of the matter. If we force our women to breed we won't have to worry about being 'replaced'. Yes such an honourable motive to outlaw abortions. YOU are the one saying they're invited and welcome. Implying the gov't or someone else is 'inviting them' simply because you say so? Just what are you trying to say, we should disqualify people from coming to Canada for medical procedures that they're willing to pay for? Did you know some already were coming here because it can be 10-15X as much in some US states?

People vaccinated might get infected. Very few die of Covid or even need hospitalization compared to those who aren't. I know that, you know that, but you continue to lie. Revise your post to 'more vaccinated people die than unvaccinated' and realize it's because WAY more people are vaccinated and everyone dies. Not of Covid though. I can tell you my wife was triple vaxxed and still died. Of fucking cancer, not Covid.

US Supreme Court strikes down Roe V. Wade

What's with this tongue-bathing of everything Yankee you fucking traitors? Shove the Battle Hymn up your ass this ain't no Republic. There's a spot for you in the Tower of London. And let's not forget: they couldn't even pass the Equal Rights Amendment back in the 1970s. In 2016 they were so against the idea of a women President they elected and actual c*nt instead. -
US Supreme Court strikes down Roe V. Wade
herbie replied to West's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Once again we confuse a women's rights issue with a left/right issue. And MEN with such systematic misogyny to claim the right to decide. Bring on a vote among women only and lose this "states rights" bullshit idea while you're at it, that's the exact opposite of democracy. The USA has sunk into a third world shithole and with yesyerdays SCOTUS ruling all the women marching can legally carry concealed weapons. Just watch the fun begin -

Canada Must Exit Climate Agreement Immediately
herbie replied to Zeitgeist's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Just in Internet forums. I've voted Conservative & BC Liberal at times. Not when they're dominated by the extremists... have an in law that ONLY votes Tory - he grew up under communism, whatever that has to do with Cdn politics. Family dinners have supporters of ALL parties and politics is openly discussed. Nobody hates or even dislikes each other over their preference.- 386 replies
