  1. You gonna get a passport and spend hours in line plus $50 or more in gas to save very much on a $200 limit? Yeah when there's no lineup and you're close you can pop over for a tank of gas, but that's dumb to think of when you're near a major crossing. Yeah my BIL pulls out of Costco in Abbotsford, sees there's no line from a block away and pops across to fill up all the time. Try that at Pacific crossing....
  2. I like that. Use their own money against the bastards.
  3. Totally ignoring that over 40% of rising construction is for rental units, ignoring that the market builds housing not the govt and ignoring the Libs are doing something instead of nothing at all. Just like for the climate change yap, do nothing, blame the other guys for everything and prey on the fact people don't "like" paying. Are any of you griping even renters, or landlords for that matter? You already own a place, hopefully with the mortgage paid off or at least locked in. So you either want to rent part of your house, or buy another place and rent the other to pay the mortgage of the 2nd one. If so you'll be in it to make money so get with the program. You're not gonna "like" more tenants rights, that's all there is too it. No matter who makes the laws. My kids have rented, one's been in the same place for 6 years and it's been flipped 4 times. Each with a rent increase. Don't give me the BS it's the fault of govt's fault when its the market that makes it that way. If you want the govt to supply housing then you're a leftist by definition as that's what they did with veterans housing after war when people weren't snivelling under the bed about lefties. And they sure as hell didn't blame immigrants then either. Not like the Syrian, Afghan and Ukranians are all coming loaded with cash and buying up $2 million homes. They're just as f*cked. My kids haven't even opened a tax free home savings account yet but they're better than most - have good jobs and drive a beater or hand me down instead new cars, boats, seadoos and snowmobiles, saw how fast DoorDash and Gig internet cost and cut back. Most of them won't. Want all, right now, all at once. As for the last bit about the credit rating, that makes common sense. For those smart enough not to incur even more debt.
  4. Yeah they nay do down to $4.99 lb.... last year's Okanagan fruit (if you could even find it in grocery stores) was nearly what meat sold for the year before. It will be outrageous this season. $2.49 for green onions? $3.99 for yellow ones? Come on....
  5. Well it will be if they're like most board members and get outraged over anything that helps someone else.
  6. Gee the BC Tories just booted a candidate hours after accepting him for exactly WestCanMan's bullshit. "Almost no one died"...etc. He originally won the nomination on his Dr credentials, even though the College of Physicians and Surgeons lifted his licence years ago for the same reasons.
  7. Knowing what the last guy paid will help enrage you. Give the 3 month notice. Paint the apartment, charge the next one $500 a month more. Claim mortgages have gone up when you haven't renewed it. Give tenants more than legal rent increases, 3 mo notice for reno's described above if they squawk. Charge new tenants $500 more. List it on AirBNB as you'll get 5X the returns. No, lets all deny this happens, and scream even louder that it isn't common. Landlords are landlords to make housing for you. not to make money, right? As for the last point, it is somewhat ridiculous to consider your cable bill and hydro but not rental payments compiling a credit score. The only point provinces like BC don't already have in place. As per usual the only real gripe boils down to be Trudeau proposing it as his idea rather than someone else.
  8. Good redneck interpretation of rape law. Go git 'em boys -yeehaww! Nail the Oaf for Contempt of Court. Instant jail time, no lengthy trial or appeals and thousands of tweets as rock solid evidence.
  9. But, but, but... that;s completely different. How many investigations into if the USA has ever influenced out election process or any other country's? Bet you none.
  10. Had a couple customers, older Norweg\ian and a Finn that would come with coffees and chat me up with war stories. The Finn had a photo album from thr war repainting Russian tanks a unit hijacked and later chasing out Germans on skis. The other guy serviced Spitfires in Britain. Both are now so damn old they called me to fix their landlines and I had to remind them that was my job 30 years ago... wonder if there's any other dubious Brand Names relying on 'market memory loss' ?
  11. To you, any taxation is theft. As for moving taxation from income to consumption being communist, well that's a new (and stupid) one. Take it up with any surviving members of Mulroney's caucus.
  12. I will save my concerns for those capable of opining more than "F*ck Trudeau" and "Eby's a goof".
  13. Do we need protection of the stupid added to the Charter to stop "smartism" ?
  14. which reminds me: Try our new body lotion from Vichy - it collaborates with your skin.
  15. Not nearly as disturbing as your propensity to lie through your teeth either by sheer ignorance or intent.
  16. Take a page from Trump's Covid idea, eh?
  17. Still on eith that immigration makes CO2 emissions bullshit? All their burping and farting does that huh? Surprising excuse from someone who doesn't give a shit about carbon emissions if it costs him another 3.5 pennies.
  18. Guessing you're monstrously stupid. How many f*cking times do you need to hear that BC had a carbon tax long before Trudeau or Singh? Imposed by the BC (not ) Liberals!
  19. No the drop in birth rates proves it a chemical to rob your precious body fluids... probably MSG or Red #5
  20. Then how abour taxing what they spend more and what they earn less?
  21. Total vermin that help each other unlike your kind, eh?
  22. Right... 19th Century solutions will solve modern problems, eh?
  23. Canada has always had a problem with productivity. A large part of which is ALL govt actively maintaining a low dollar policy. Another is the CRA policies that take ages to revise, 10 year write downs on equipment that's often obsolete in 3 years. Other stuff that has to be depreciated wen it should be a 100% expense writeoff. Incentives are also needed for companies to provide worker training in many areas. I've been appalled for decades at the lack of computer skills of people hired to do jobs that require them. Our infrastructure and geography also suck and sure don't help.
  24. Oooh our tough-ass resident keyboard warrior should sign up wit the IDF. Maybe he could singlehandedly defeat the area that's half the size of Toronto in a day instead of dragging shit out like it was another Stalingrad. Should have been over in weeks but Netanyahu dragged things out so long reducing the place to rubble even his main ally has had enoogh. Feed the f*cking civilians and kill Hamas already! You're claim that antisemitism is rampant in Canada is absurd. Alarmist bullshit.
  25. F*ck that. You expect free meals at restaurants, free car rentals, free hotel rooms cuz you're having some personal issue? Perspective didn't say that, Quebecovercanada did.
