  1. What are you saying? Mulroney won his day in court and was compensated by the government due to their mishandling of the file. Martin *won* his day in court with Gomery because he couldn't be directly linked to the $1.14 Million dollars of taxpayer money justice Gomery proved the Liberal Party of Canada illegally obtained through the sponsorship programme. What was it you were saying about airbus? I thought the Liberal line was that Adscam was behind us. Then shouldn't airbus also be?
  2. Depends how you look at it. Either unproven allegations of corruption that lead to a massive win in court for former PM Mulroney or allegations of misuse of the RCMP. Too bad there wasn't an inquiry called to vindicate Mulroney at the time.
  3. MSM has already picked up on this story.
  4. I thought that playbook had been changed. Oh wait, they are waiting to pull out *the good stuff* when it gets closer to the date. Yeah right...
  5. Then he *can't* capture 30% of the vote... Why are you contradicting yourself? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The lead will stay. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  6. Now you are just being obstinate. You didn't say they *wouldn't* stay at 27% either. Why start the thread if you thought the lead wouldn't stay?
  7. Yeah, strange that one. Harper has proven his commitment to the environment, but it is simply shrugged off by the YL activisits trying to take over the board.
  8. But normie, on December 8th you started a thread about the Liberals commanding lead when the CPC was supposedly sitting at 27% support? Heck, if they swing up three points, to 33% they probably form government... ps, hiti, I am pretty sure calling Harper a dink is against the rules of the forum. 'Mr. Dithers' isn't allowed either, so you probably can't claim to *just* be referring to the name given to him by a journalist.
  9. Let me get this right, you post information about how a certain number (15) CSL ships are registered ships fly the Canadian flag, your support is a link to their Canadian head office? And for that you demand support to disprove the great fountain of information you have supplied?
  10. I am interested in seeing if Paul Wells mentions the SES Research drop. Twice this week he has mentioned how big the lead *was* that the Liberals *had*!
  11. I think hiti's silence on this one is deafening...
  12. Hmmm, Laghi thinks Harper is a *dink*? Appalling lack of professionalism aside, who cares? A journalist who moved from CanWest to the Globe doesn't like the CPC. Big deal.... This is still a week old article. Clearly the *Harper is a dink* story has no legs. I like how none of the Liberals hacks are mentioning SES now that the *big Liberal lead* has dropped by six points in a single night or the Margaret Wente "Help Harper is starting to make sense" column. Thanks for the fair and balanced approach to the board...
  13. Warren Kinsella said it best about this sad little strategy about the Young Liberals campaign to win the war of Letters to Editors and message boards. Makes you wonder how many of the people here are *connected*, doubt any of them would actually admit to what they are doing...
  14. An ounce is still a *ton* of weed. Favouring the status quo is not favouring possession for under 30 grams. Why must you continually distort the positions of the CPC? Possessing what quantity of weed would be sufficient to warrant incarceration in your world normie?
  15. This national numbers put Harper in solid minority territory. Ipsos poll story The Liberals are only up seven points in Ontario which would give the CPC an extra 12 to 15 seats there. The Liberals are set to lose 10 more seats in Quebec. Looks like the CPC will break even in the west. Losing a couple seats in BC to the NDs but making up for it in Edmonton. The NDs also look posed to take a couple Liberals seats in the Lower Mainland.
  16. The polling numbers, especially SES, are quite odd. Why is SES consistently out of step with every other pollster? For once the national numbers aren't make or break. The regional figures are the key. Ontario looks like the Liberals will lose about 10 seats, evenly split between the CPC and the NDs. The CPC is doing really well in Southwestern Ontario. Quebec is looking like a five to ten seat pickup for the Bloc. The maritimes looks like a walk, although there might be a one-seat pickup. The CPC looks to net a seat in the Prairies. Sweeping Alberta but losing Palliser in SK. The ND could pick up two CPC seats on Vancouver Island. Other than that maybe Svend knocks off Hedy Fry, but not much will change in BC. All this may be enough to give the CPC a plurality of seats...
  17. Not enough evidence so far.... But it makes you wonder why Bleberzon (the CARP Director of Communications did such an about face). Somebody will dig into this. If the Liberals were to release the call and email logs of the staff from Goodales office then the story would go away instantly. Why won't they release those logs?
  18. For many reasons a minority Conservative governmnet offers the best opportunity for the country for the short-term. It would force the Liberals to take a good hard look at themselves, and bring in a new leader. It would allow the Conservatives to show what they could do as a government, without the power inherent in a majority. It would also allow the NDs to influence government the best way it can, by holding the balance of power. The Liberals never really wanted to make this last parliament work. The opposition reacted in kind and gave them the boot.
  19. Kinsella is staying on the story. The CTV has an interesting article on the CARP flip flop on the issue. It could become *the* issue of the election. I cannot believe the finance ministry's director of communications *publicly* called the guy from CARP old and confused. That is pretty ignant. CTV Link
  20. Normie, Normie, Normie. The hypocrisy in in your post is appalling. If you switch CPC with Liberal and get rid of the other parties that is *exactly* how you feel. Your history of posts supports this proposition. Putting words in the mouths of CPC supporters is sad. Many people are at least listening to Harper now instead of automatically tuning him out. That is all we can ask.
  21. Harper's strategy is good for now. *If* the Liberals start attacking the Conservatives with the same old scary, scary, scary. Then he should switch to corruption with the Income Trust Leak leading the pack...
  22. That's music to our ears. Seriously though, it isn't a question of timing. It wouldn't have made sense to release all these announcements pre-writ. Their strategy is making an impact, unless you follow the SES tracking polls. Every other pollster shows positive movement for the CPC.
  23. We all *remember* that plan. Alas, Martin has proven how empty that promise was.
  24. The CPC daycare plan will allow more mothers to stay home with their children, then will the Liberals plan. Why is it a bad thing?
  25. Not only would we look dumb, but we would significantly harm the hottest sector of our national economy at the moment. Sorry to get the thread back on topic Normie.
