  1. Why would a minority gov't under Harper be a disaster? Harper's stance if far from strict. He will open the question of re-introducing the traditional definition of message to a free vote in the house of commons. If it fails, so be it. Closer ties to the U.S. would help reolve disputes like softwood lumber...
  2. Refresh my memory (with a link if you please) on how you "reminded me". See when somebody comes onto a board to attack, attack, attack and mess with the purpose of the board naturally some of the regulars will respond. Within the rules of the board, while maintaining respect for the wishes of the moderator. I feel comfortable in what I am doing... Please stop with the personal attacks. I responded to your comments about the phantom poll on that thread on December 2nd. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  3. See, I can play the same game where I just paste my previous statement into a new thread. How original I am! At least this little game is keeping you from your continual attacks. How is any of what I said a personal attack? I can provide multiple examples of both your violent temper and your incoherent posts.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Please try not to engage in personal attacks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  4. If you think that is a personal attack you have much bigger issues than this board. Do you remember that "phantom poll" you posted that you fought back with by accusing me of questioning your honesty? I still haven't seen a link to that one...
  5. In your silence are you admitting tht you don't care about fisherman and their families? How many social programs is Martin going to destroy by just throwing money at the daycare problem that wouldn't provide working Canadian mothers with the options they want?
  6. Your silence speaks volumes to the fact that my post wasn't a personal attack. Is short-term memory another issue for you?
  7. How is any of what I said a personal attack? I can provide multiple examples of both your violent temper and your incoherent posts....
  8. Uhhh, wouldn't Martin necessarily have to be part of a discussion of the new leader of the Liberals!
  9. Thanks for getting back on topic. btw are we agreeing for a second time?
  10. Ahhh, that explains your incoherent posts and violent temper. You are high most of the time. Good on ya!
  11. Please. Martin's credibility is gone. All he's got left is another minority, *IF* he is lucky, and a spot in the history books as the second least successful leader of the Liberals in the last 100 years. Thank God for John Turner.
  12. Norman, Please quit hijacking threads. Please.
  13. Hey CC, I just went to another site (election prediction.org) to read up on Essex. The vibe there was that Whelan had a good shot of getting elected if she had a weak ND opponent. Here is Taras Natyshak's 'bio'? from the NDP web site. Looks like Whelan has a chance of going back to Ottawa.
  14. Shakey in spite of the Trudeau quote I feel you are probably a decent person, so please accept this question without taking too much offence. What the heck did you mean in your last post?
  15. Good point. Will it be a coronation for Ignatieff (if he wins his riding) or will somebody else emerge?
  16. Are you really opposed to helping our fishermen who are in need? What industry do you work in? Perhaps the Liberals could unfairly tax that industry to help pay for your knee surgery.
  17. Seems like Jack is doing his level-best to avoid being associated with Sven. The following is from an article by Jane Taber in today's Globe. (Sorry, it's a pay site so no link.)
  18. This one seems good. The Tories won 2/7 of the Rock's seats in 2004. Mebbe 1 or 2 more come their way this time around as a result...
  19. Makes me wonder if Alberta might be better off keeping Landslide Annie around. (Note to Greg, not a put down, rather a pretty commonly accepted nickname for her.) Would the Liberals be more likely to introduce son of NEP without her around? Likely, but you never know....
  20. I'm sure I could find a bible *somewhere* if I *wanted* to read one...
  21. It is quite reasonable to expect that a Harper government could last at least as long, if not a little longer, than this minority Liberal government. Here are two solid reasons why. 1. Let's say there are thoughts of putting the CPC 'out of its misery' early. That could lead to three federal elections in a four year span. Will any voters want that? 2. If *enough* voters side with the CPC to give them government, *enough* voters will want to give them the time to at least show what they could do with power. The Liberals had plenty of time to show what they could do with power...
  22. No actually I don't. Believe it or not, not all CPC supporters are well versed in the bible!
  23. Yeah, maybe we should arrange through PMs to post at the exact same moment so little Normie dispels this myth as well. Ahh, who cares he isn't here to debate, just to attack. So be it. Too bad the Liberals are losing this election...
  24. The CPCs platform, as agreed to this past spring, is far closer to the old PC party's than any other party that make up the new party. Alas, eureka, you would neve ractually take the time to do the research and actually look into this. Would you...
  25. We don't. We think some Harper opponents have been simply duped by years of Martin, his fellow Liberals and the CBC demonizing the party all for their own perceived 'best interests'. None of it really in the best interest of Canadians.
