Hmmm, you completely ignored my question. What was the debate OP was trying to start with his post? Do you feel that Greg owes you something by running this site? Which rules have I ignored? What point did I prove?
-
Right on both counts. Hell even the CBC was getting on Martin for it. Talking about how his childish attacks on Harper are making him appear to be un-Prime Ministerial. The campaign has been interesting.
-
Newbie, are you honestly saying the OP was trying to start an intelligent debate% Here is a little hint, any topic that contains "Why I'll *never* vote" for any party is blatant ranting. If you don't like the way Greg runs this forum then f*ck off. He is doing all of us a favour by putting his time into running this site. You aren't doing him any favours.

Because the Liberals are all about demonizing the opposition no matter what. Interestingly, even the CBC has picked up on it. That Peter Mansbridge show on Newsworld on Sunday, even mentioned it.

Poll of 18,443 Canadians suggests a dead heat
shoop replied to Montgomery Burns's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Had you even heard of Halliburton before Moore's preachy little Fahrenheit 911. btw, does Moore's blatant hyprocrisy make you question his documentaries? -
I figure just ignore jack*sses like this. Great buddy, you hate the Conservatives. Your post isn't going to foster any debate. Go to rabble.ca. There you can have your online circle-jerk with fellow socialists who also hate the Conservatives. Woo hoo!

Poll of 18,443 Canadians suggests a dead heat

I completely agree with you that the size of the poll is ridiculous, but if someone was willing to pay for it why *wouldn't* a pollster do it? You are needlessly nitpicking the 98% competency line. Only people who have taken university level stats understand the rationale behind the +/- 2.5%, why not try and make it a little easier to understand? -
Why are they always allowed to get away with this?
shoop replied to Montgomery Burns's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
That would be very interesting to have seen. Duffy is definitely a Liberal. -
Such a lame, lame attempt at scoring points by Martin. Harper didn't have a heard time saying "I love Canada", he just tried to give a more in-depth and considered answer. Didn't really work very well for Martin. Maybe if he had actually used power when he got it people might believe his crappy one-liners.

Pretty understandable knee-jerk reaction but there is some basis to a sample size that big. The only thing holding back a sample size that big is cost, but if somebody is willing to pay ... any polling company would be happy to do so. 98% competency appears to the standard deviation reated to polls. You have clearly seen the "accurate within +/- 2.5 percent 19 times out of 20". 98% competence would merely be "accurate within +/- 1 percent" kimmy's question of the timing of the poll is much more reasonable. -
By taxing less on consumption you put more money in the hands of the spender, don't you?
-
Yes, I did get the 67 number from another site but 60 is entirely realistic. Under the predictions I presented that still leaves the Liberals under 100 MPs nationally.

They can come in place of money wasted on the Sponsorship scandal, HRDC boondogle, poorly planned procurements for the military. Alas, in your warped little view the government waste has to instinctively continue. The accountability act means that it won't.

CTV is not that bad. Relatively fair. The CBCs coverage is ridiculous though. A publicly funded news outlet shouldn't pick sides as blatantly as they do. -
Such an utterly ridiculous policy. Man that is what people want to see, the GST made *more* difficult to understand.
-
OP, I am interested in seeing a link to that announcement. If Argus is correct that really does show how clueless the NDP are. To actually suggest only imposing tax on Alberta oil, instead of Newfoundland, Saskatchewan or Manitoba oil is incredibly wrong thinking. Either they were to clueless to consider the fact that other Canadian provinces produce oil, or even worse, they new at and specifically targeted Alberta anyways. No wonder the NDs have only *ever* won one seat in Alberta.

Yo eureka, Explain the double-standard. If Martin changes his ideas, he has evaluated the facts and worked with changing Canadian public sentiment. However, when Harper changes his ideas he is really just 'hiding his agenda' and will go back to his original position when given the opportunity?

Harper won't siften marijuana possession laws
shoop replied to normanchateau's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
OMG, Am I actually agreeing with Norman on something? Then again, fighting to reduce impaired driving - regardless of the drug involved - is a good thing. -
Politicians having health issues during elections tend to get sympathy support. Best case situation is he gets laryngitis and has to croak out his standard campaign speech.

Canada to Adopt a More Pro Israel Stance
shoop replied to scribblet's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
So normie, quit hectoring people to provide information when you talk about phantom polls that don't exist... and you won't provide evidence for. Your bush league trolling is quite tiring. -
Most recent polls. (That actually exist.)
shoop replied to shoop's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Thanks, I think. -
In the name of fairness here are the most recently released polls from each of the big three pollsters. *With* an acutal link. H & K predictor site Strategic Counsel, Dec 2, 2005 Liberals - 35% Conservatives - 30% NDP - 17% BQ - 14% Independent xx Decima Research, Dec 1, 2005 Liberals - 36% Conservatives - 28% NDP - 19% BQ - 12% Ipsos-Reid, November 29, 2005 Liberals - 31% Conservatives - 31% NDP - 18% BQ - 13% (extrapolated)

Isn't this an argument *in favour* of cutting the GST?
-
Shakey, That's what I meant about blatant partisanship. It isn't really that big of a deal. I am as guilty of it as many others here are, you included. But when the guy starts out and out lying there is a problem.
-
Yeah, this guys blatant partisanship is one thing, but out and out lying is another. I hope Greg has the time ot take a look at this dude's posts...
