paxamericana replied to Zeitgeist's topic in Canada / United States Relations
It’s reactionary , the resentment to Canada own inaptitude. Most choose denial over truth.- 223 replies

The Donroe Doctrine simplified

See what you all don’t understand is America is entering a new age where we feel we no longer have a strategic threat. But we still have all the…toys to hammer a threat. So what to do with all this firepower with no one to aim it at!? Decisions decision. -
There’s two view on this matter. One is that the juice isn’t worth the squeeze, we’ve already do what we want in Greenland. Paying for it doesn’t make any sense, the Danes even offer to help pay for construction cost. The second view is that America can’t subcontract out our national security to another country. Europe is a declining power and should not be entrusted with America’s defense. Mark Carney kind of lay it on the table when he said “middle powers must act together because if we’re not at the table, we’re on the menu.” My personal thoughts is that we create a new world order with the Danes and Britain. Make Great Britain the 51st state (seriously). Form an alliance with the Scandinavian country and keep other powers outside of the Artic.

See we wouldn’t be having this Greenland side show if Denmark gave Trump his Nobel peace prize

We call this the deep state in America -
Against Greenland? You do know only Congress can declare war right? It’s not up to Trump. Tell that to Bill Clinton Trump says what he mean, he doesn’t have to be right. But that’s more honesty out of a politician than you’re going to find. Which cliff is that exactly. America has NEVER cared what the world thinks. Do you know why? It’s because we were never reliant on international trade. You have to care what America thinks though. We’re the only business in town.

Americans Pretending to be Canadian

Sounds more like it, an irrational Canuck to all things America. Good luck with your investments. -
No it does not. Japan can contain China on its own and has decided to become bedfellows with the Americans. China has no shortage of enemies, particularly its neighbors. So not only does geography work against China but the second and third most powerful naval power are already close allies with America. Give up the ghost. Europe is a liability for America like it or not. This century was the first century that China could export its way to wealth (and many of the third world) . Built on American back security umbrella and global free trade of the seas (yeah you all seem to forget this fact)! The world needs America , not the other way around. You all would rather raid and pirate each other shipping if left to your own devices like the 19th century. And to drive the American point, you NATO deadbeats have the least to contribute and everything to whine about America.

Americans Pretending to be Canadian

Every countries does this, in much worse ratios than the US. So back to my original question, where is your money save haven? -
This is just a talking point. It would cost Trillions of dollars to do a industrial build out on greenland and atleast 10 years before the first ton of rare earth even gets sold. Greenland has terrible geography, it sits a couple of kilometer above sea level and does not have good natural harbors. The Snow packed island also makes construction difficult. Greenland economic benefits requires massive capital investment in a world with labor shortage and capital shortage. It's not economically viable. The other issue with rare earth is that it's not actually rare, it's a by product of metal processing. The bottle neck is processing the ore not the ore themselves.

So long as the Dollar remains the global currency reserve it can print as much Monopoly money as it likes. There’s no better alternative to the dollar at the moment. -
Trump holds a gun to the head of US allies

No country wants to team up with Canada. -
Nice fantasy. But your presupposition is that Europe even has leverage to begin with. It certainly doesn’t. The Trump card is energy. With Russia out of the picture and Europe reliant on American energy exports that would be cutting your nose to spite your face. Europe knows that, which is why they can’t push back. Trump can’t invade Greenland without congressional approval either so for all this talk of not excluding the use of force is that, talk. The gullible masses are just that gullible. The American public certainly does not have appetite to fight dead beat allies over Greenland so put down your tofu salad. There’s no real reason to as Greenland remains Danish in name only. America already has and does install military bases on the island for National Security uses. Greenland is just another excuse to generate tariff uncertainty to hasten domestic investment in the US.

That’s the problem, America doesn’t need Europe, or as much as Europe needs America. This fact hasn’t dawned on many of you but it will. Russia is on the war path to conquer not just Ukraine but the entirety of Europe. Decades of European leeching on American security umbrella led us here. There’s no recovery for Europe, they are in terminal decline. The Germans aged out, they went from net contributors to the EU to now it’s net taker. How long will that last with the rest of EU?

Sure but there’s a hot war in Europe last I checked on top of a general European demographic decline. Where is your money going to run next? The USA will remain the only reliable engine of growth if South East Asia goes to shit over Taiwan. So get with the program, he does have nice hair. -

ICE Finally Fires Back!

Canada has been stagnant for 15 years and will not get better. You didn’t have enough babies. Your population is in negative territory. It doesn’t matter how efficient your production is when there’s not a consumer on the other side to buy what ever it is that you’re making! Were it not for divine commandment, I’d be more incline to encourage you lot to rid the world of your own prideful stupidity. But here I am redeeming whatever brain cell you all have left that isn’t plagued by arrogance. Is your pension going to outpace inflation? The data is not ever in your favor. -

What money??? Canada is broke. You’re insolvent. Too many retirees for the working population to pay for. You know what that means? Massive inflation is coming your way. Canada is poorer than US’s poorest state. You are devolving into a third world. Feel free to clutch to your pearl or in this case rags.
