For there to be trade there needs to be consumption as well as production. Consumption age is between 15-55 . The world aged out. Only Africa and America remains in the right demographic medium age group for the global economic to work in the first place! And Africa does not have the same market value as America. What I’m saying is that the US needs to be the global currency. Which is why it will actively undermine the adoption of a gold standard. The US really doesn’t need to be engaged outside of the western hemisphere. Most of what America needs can be purchased or acquired locally in the American continent.

But there’s one important aspect you’re not accounting for, demographic, Europe is declining in population and will no longer be able to field a competent military of size, they don’t have the population of workers to support a large military industrial complex and their retirement.
