Are Alberta Separatists Committing Treason?
paxamericana replied to TreeBeard's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I don’t know why Canadians even bother. Literally their money would be worth more, pay less taxes and be a part of the greatest empire since Rome. All the benefits without ANY downsides. -
Uhhhh what? Care to explain your self there? You do know liberalism is not a repalcement for religion right? A nation requires something more than liberalism to bring people together, there needs to be a common value structure, for examplle, the only unifying theme Canadians have to one another is that they're not Americans. Which is why, it's destined to fail. In America, people are united as one nation under GOD. What's it going to be, when you have to suffer the tragedy, mallevolence and sacrifice of life, these are your options, meaningless nihilism or worship to the highest good, God. Careful when you tread on holy ground.

Americans Pretending to be Canadian

US National Interests. Don’t think like a globalist. You’re American even if you don’t admit to it. Consider this tough love. https://www.ctvnews.ca/business/article/canadas-economy-is-on-life-support-and-country-is-in-recession-says-economist/ -
Americans Pretending to be Canadian

Or we wait this out, and buy you up with pennies on the dollar. Canada can’t diversify because it’s an export market, so is the rest of the world, Canada’s industry isn’t even globally competitive. It heavily relies on trade with America. This is the problem with being raised spoiled by unfettered markets access to America, you assume the rest of the world will oblige you. They will and have already put up non tariff trade barriers to Canadian export. Think of Canada’s Milk cartel, yeah every country has one. America has already gamed this out, the only viable trading partner is still the United States, which is why, it will remain the preeminent export destination and global currency. One more thing, for transcontinental trade to occur, you need maritime access. You don’t think the world’s most powerful Navy in history has a say? Good luck being a shadow fleet tanker. -

Americans Pretending to be Canadian
paxamericana replied to TreeBeard's topic in Canada / United States Relations
For there to be trade there needs to be consumption as well as production. Consumption age is between 15-55 . The world aged out. Only Africa and America remains in the right demographic medium age group for the global economic to work in the first place! And Africa does not have the same market value as America. That’s the whole point of the MAGA wrecking ball to international trade tariff. That’s what the globalist haven’t figured out, if we can’t trade, it’s back to the 19th century of imperial competition. Global trade was what made geography obsolete and by virtue the need for colonial holding. Take global trading away and we’re revisiting history! The world is a zero sum pie again. The stupid Canadians haven’t figured that out , that they need to be on the American side of the fence or be on the Menu. @Zeitgeist -

Americans Pretending to be Canadian

What I’m saying is that the US needs to be the global currency. Which is why it will actively undermine the adoption of a gold standard. The US really doesn’t need to be engaged outside of the western hemisphere. Most of what America needs can be purchased or acquired locally in the American continent. -
This was the old calculus yes. But there’s one important aspect you’re not accounting for, demographic, Europe is declining in population and will no longer be able to field a competent military of size, they don’t have the population of workers to support a large military industrial complex and their retirement. A healthy economy and young population is needed for military adventurism. This is why America no longer feels the need to be engaged in Europe, they’re dying out. America suffers no rival. Not for the remainder of this century.

Won’t work as a global currency. Too costly and hard to use. Government printing money is a feature, not a bug. Can’t print gold. -

Canadian? All the benefits - without the cost

Mmmmhmm. Until you get into real trouble. The truth is, when you travel with a blue passport, there’s not a whole lot of security concerns. The might of the US empire will bear on any transgressors who tries. It’s not the same. Canada relies on the goodwill of others, America expects it. -
