  1. Oh we are well aware of our fan club. We decided to reward them with a little spanking on trade and defense. Canada just doesn't appreciate how much good America is doing for the rest of the world. Its okay though, being on top is a lonely position.
  2. Resist! Resist! Trade with anyone else is a pipe dream. Resistance is futile. Now thanks to Trudeau weak attempt at negotiation, he's putting Canada in an even tougher negotiation position. The EU and mexico is getting on aboard. Pretty soon Canada will be isolated like China.
  3. I think mexico and the us see canada for what it really want, a liberal haven where identity politics triumph over common sense and free trade. "Canada went into the NAFTA re-negotiations determined to protect the industries that were exempted from free trade in the first place. Trump has been just as set on eradicating trade barriers to American companies." https://torontosun.com/news/provincial/canada-in-for-fight-of-its-life-in-nafta-talks-expert Canada to bring feminism to NAFTA talks in seeking new chapter on gender https://nationalpost.com/pmn/news-pmn/canada-news-pmn/canada-to-bring-feminism-to-nafta-talks-in-seeking-new-chapter-on-gender
  4. When we americans move up there you will see the extinction of Canadians. Its like the last Mohichan or rather Canadian.
  5. Oh yeah, this texan is already eyeballing a nice peace of land in vancouver...
  6. Look at what those Trudeau antics got for Canada...a time out by big bro, putting Canada in an even worse negotiation position...when will snowflake Trudeau resign? "The Canadian negotiating team, led by Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland, has been told that Lighthizer is focusing on negotiations with Mexico and isn’t interested in engaging with Canada at the moment, according to the people, who asked not to be named discussing private conversations. The situation was first reported by the National Post newspaper." “The Trump administration has clear frustrations with the Canadian government’s approach to the Nafta modernization, and we’re now seeing it play out in front of our faces,” Adam Taylor, principal and co-founder at trade advisory firm Export Action Global, said by phone from Ottawa. “We’ve seen virtually overnight Mexico and the U.S. are moving forward and Canada looks left behind and then forced into a position where it has to make a significant set of concessions just to be readmitted to the talks, it seems.” https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-07-31/canada-is-said-to-be-frozen-out-of-nafta-amid-u-s-mexico-talks-jk9vz83u
  7. Not so much, i see the executive branch as a way to get pass toxic partisan gridlock, like those that plagued the obama administration. I do concede that it is a dangerous path to allow further executive power. Yes it will, the math is definitely in the democrat favor. We will see if Trump's brand of grassroot politics will carry him through the midterm.
  8. That is why trump is elected. He isn't a politician. He is doing what he thinks is best. Sure there are disagreement but I can tell you that two previous administration tried and failed to re negotiate these trade deals. Trump is taking a first step in the right direction and it is bearing fruit. Look at the eu and mexico. Only one left is silly canada and china. Secondly, tariff is now a executive branch power under national security. The supreme court can knock out any congressional overstep.
  9. Oh the drainage is great now, its only a shame that liberal crooked Hillary supporter are trying to clog it again.
  10. We aren't perfect. Some of my buddies who work in the intelligence community face the same issue when bad intelligence put our operator's lives at risk. We lost people because it. That is part of the gig. Now if someone in the administration purposefully and knowingly use bad intelligence to justify something for personal gain then that is a violation of our ethics law and should be prosecuted.
  11. Nah Ill take our cia and pentagon offical word over russian any day
  12. I think you are missing the two biggest point. 1) they've reach an agreement to phase out tariffs 2) they are uniting to take on China by re-writing the WTO with respect to the EU, they are trying to diversify their market for energy deleveraging Russia's geopolitical leverage.
  13. No no no, you're believing the fake news again. Lets just clarify, it was our Russian comrade who helped us drain the swamp.
  14. Fox news says your Canadian tax dollar is paying for a nice hotel for illegal immigrants.
  15. Yup, getting NATO deadbeats to pay their fair share, Getting NK to stop testing nukes and launching missles, getting our prisoners back, all for a little meeting with out releasing prisoner and 3 billion dollars. . Isis is about to be annihilated, Iran isn't thinking about grande ambition anymore, Negotiation are going well on trade. Trying to work with Russia, on issue we have common ground with. Winning in Afghanistan again after disastrous Obama chicken shit policies. Economy is up, all in 18 months, Yeah I'd say that's a lot of progress. First sitting president to accomplish that much. I mean if all he did was ruffle some feathers that needed ruffling then by all mean ruffle away! You should realize by now that every American political wave will quickly cascade to Canada, you're looking at the next wave of conservatism. Liberalism is out, populism is in. Also, I'd vote for a magic bean if it could get the results we are getting.
  16. Oh mon Dieu, a Canadian who actually admits to their dependence on America. This is like the equivalence to a Canadian unicorn.
  17. 1) Texans are more productive than Canadians? 2) That just means they get to invest it else where in America. At least that way part of their proceeds won't get sapped into Canadian welfare. Sounds like we're doing ourselves a favor.
  18. Yes to all the above but that's beside the point. It is fair to complain about Trump's antic but I think that some of those criticism is over the top. Trump is trying to fix the WTO as was discussed with the EU. He also fixing NATO. He's trying to fix the middle east and NK. We did not elect him to be another sensitive liberal snowflake politician like Obama and Trudeau, we elected him to get things done so he is free to do what he see fit so long as it is within our interest, the voter. We tried your route, look at the amount of problems Obama created, look at the progress Trump has made. If a few liberal tears has to be shed to water the tree of liberty then so be it. The US is done being friendly, two previous administration saw to that.
  19. 1) see above 2) Ah so this gets to the heart of the matter, Canada does not want to be "bullied" around by the US. Canada, you're just going to have to deal with it. Canada has lost its only "trump" card (even more pun intended) last time we negotiated NAFTA; when Canada's energy reserve were of significance. Now, it is no longer the case.
  20. I think the criticism on Trump is a lack of understanding of the man. Perhaps if critics would read Trump's book art of the deal, they'd know how he is a "very stable genius" .
  21. I know GM has invested heavily in the state of Texas which tells me they plan on pulling out of Canada. The question then becomes are you willing to loose a core Canadian export over spilled milk(major pun intended)? "GM bringing 600 jobs to Texas from abroad" https://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/general-motors/2017/06/16/gm-supplier-park/102926016/
  22. Look at it this way, Canada's entire GDP is slightly smaller than the state of Texas. Mexico is even smaller than that by over 30 percent. What ever Trade deal that we may or may not work out is of little consequence for the US. Conversely, if Canada doesn't sort out a trade deal with the US then most of those liberal policies that Canada pride itself on like healthcare and other social welfare programs would no longer be affordable. Seems like a lot more is at stake for Canada than Canadian pride is willing to admit. The US has been plenty clear on trade discussion, we want to see a free trade agreement with no protectionist loophole. Why keep that supply chain management when free market is a better solution.
  23. Put it this way Canada, your entire economy is slightly smaller than my home state of Texas. Whether you adopt free trade is of no major consequence to the US. Same goes for mexico .
