  1. Right and the reason we have so many different denomination in Christianity and Judaeism is because of compatibility? There was a huge witch hunt (Salem witch trial) going on in America in the 17th and all the way til the 20th century around the world. Many of those views are reformed by modern Christianity. Again I'm not talking about Muslim or Islam, I'm talking about fundamental Islam and those who are extreme enough that they are willing to blow themselves up in the name of their jihad. They are just as bad as christian burning people at the stake for alleged witchcraft. There is no room for compatibility with 7th century thinking in the modern era. Reform needs to happen and every major religion has gone through it. Also the fundamental Islamist have infiltrated Europe and are causing a lot of problem. Look up Britain. Their political system pandered to those extremist and created a huge mess.
  2. Not from the data I've seen. The US clearly has the best economy, largest ever in fact. Those container coming from China is their dependence on trade not "domination" as you put it. America is not a import-export economy, only roughly 20 percent of our GDP is trade. America is a Consumer service based economy, making it pretty tough to fight in a trade war. Anyone who wishes to fight with us on trade will for sure be hurting a lot more than us. Look at Canada, a silly country that think it can win a trade war with the US. Mexico knows Canada want to burn so they decided to do business with the US despite Canada's demand for a trilateral agreement. China's growth is coming at a massive cost to its deficit. look it up. over 270 percent of their GDP is debt. America is hovering around 100.
  3. Not only is he doing it but he's doing it well. Look at all the heads exploding on CNN and MSNBC. It's great. Right because were punched in the face for the past oh i don't know...25 years.... by deadbeat allies and trade cheats like china, Canada and many others... The only one who is upset about it is the rest of the world for not being able to do anything when Trump decided to flex America's hegemonic power.
  4. 1) I am impartial to religion, I am not impartial to stupidity and dumb ideologies that is incumbent of many religion including Judaism and Christianity. 2) ? ? ? If you're saying I don't know about the formation and history and even basic tenants of Judaism and Christianity then your assumption is wrong. I was referring to a basic human principle that all cultures "should" share in the Judeo Christian west. 3) Its about two opposing ideologies, reconciliation is not possible. Only reform is possible. The idea that we should pander to fundamental Islamic views because of identity politics is where the left made a huge mistake. We're not going to adopt barbaric sharia law as advocated for by fundamental Islam. 4) Bin Laden attacking us because of Israel, plain and simple. Though I would argue that Bin Laden's position against Israel is not totally unjustified, only his use of violence on innocent victims is unjustified. 5) Globalist Liberals are people who wishes to homogenize the world's political system whilst doing through the means of Free Trade. Yes both Republicans and Democrats are guilty. The left want to continue said status quo, they want open borders, they want a globalized world. The right is now opposing such views as shown by president trump draining of the swamp, establishment globalist agenda.
  5. Uh.....................that's why everything is shifting to mexico... good luck on waiting out trump. I suspect a red wall this mid term. I would not craft trade policy on a bet just saying... Actually trump has about the same amount of support he had when he first came in. This basically means he's untouchable. You can sling mud at him all you want but people just don't care. His base is obviously still with him...over 87 percent republican support. One of the highest of any president during mid terms. Also the democrats are losing on identity politics to trump. There's been a building momentum of minority support to the Republicans/Trump party. " A largely under-reported Harvard/Harris Poll published last week found that Hispanic support of Trump has improved by 10 points, spoiling assumptions about group identity. In a world where the prevailing rhetoric of the Left is that Trump is anti-immigrant, the data "suggests that Hispanics may not be the entrenched liberal voting constituency that Democrats so often imagine," wrote The Washington Times' Stewart Lawrence. Furthermore, in the critical swing-state of Florida, GOP Gov. Rick Scott is surpassing his Democratic opponent among Hispanics in the senatorial race, according to a recent Mason-Dixon poll. But why would Trump and Republicans be seeing a significant upswing in Hispanic support? "Hispanics, like most mainstream voters, are waking up to post-2016 America. Unemployment among Hispanics has fallen to its lowest level in decades, and there’s little doubt that Mr. Trump’s pro-business policies are the reason," Lawrence wrote. 6. Feel free to spend money in a drug war zone where the cartel own most of the government and businesses because you think America is bullying you. The stuff they do to people in mexico makes detroit look like child's play.
  7. 1) I don't want to bring religion into this because I am impartial to all religion, atheist in fact. But many of the basic value we have here in the west are born out of a Judeao-Christian belief such as life liberty and pursuit of happiness. 2). I don't need to reason or treat them logically, they did not arrive to that medieval belief by reason. If you can't reason with someone who was never logical in the first place; to the point that they are wanting to die for their belief by attacking mine then I'm as much obligated to grant them that wish as them wanting to kill me. This is the fundamental fact that liberals forget when addressing fundamental extremist views ( not just religion by the way) . There is no reconciliation, we are not all just going to hold hands and sing kumbaya. These two views or irreconcilable. Islam needs to be reform from within much like what happened with Judaism and Christianity. Don't expect the Judaeo-Christian west to bend over backward to adopt medieval sharia law. One last point, Bin Laden attack America because we supported Israel. Plain and simple, not because he was hoping for a response as you suggested. Again a false pretense propagated by the globalist liberals who think every culture and religion should hold hands. "The expansion of Israel is one of the greatest crimes, and you are the leaders of its criminals. And of course there is no need to explain and prove the degree of American support for Israel. The creation of Israel is a crime which must be erased. Each and every person whose hands have become polluted in the contribution towards this crime must pay its price, and pay for it heavily." - Bin Laden https://www.theguardian.com/world/2002/nov/24/theobserver
  8. OH i see, now its all about us as oppose to benefit only america. This is why you should engage more with those who have differing opinion, if nothing else it keeps us honest and more informed about one another's view. As opposed to calling for me to be ban as some have suggested on this forum or as BC has dug out about the Trudeau administration labeling of dissenters on nafta.
  9. Detroit's funding is only part of the issue, the other part is that Canada funded the bridge not from some outright altruism they funded it because more Canadians used that bridge to enter the US and also because it allows us citizen to spend money in Canada.
  10. Yeah those are the same people who thinks the end of the world is here and that Economic collapse was imminent. Economist are like the weather man, two of the only jobs where you can be wrong more than half of the time and still get to keep said job.
  11. Don't believe the fake news about trump tax cut. See my post on growth and how it can pay for the tax-cut in the NAFTA debate. I think 2/3rd of the corporate tax cut has already been paid for by the growth, its expected to be fully paid for by the end of 2019. Trump is trying to lower taxes for everyone not just corporation. That's why he is working on a tax cut 2.0 but we will see how that gets to be implemented. Its the liberal progressive who want to raise taxes to 50 percent for the middle class. Conservative is trying to reduce taxes and welfare by increasing jobs. Conservative mean limited government not more.
  12. Allies need to be partners not snowflake freeloader. Democratic institution is fine, called check and balance, trump gets plenty of push-back by congress and courts on many issue, border wall, immigration, healthcare bill etc... seems like a healthy democracy working as intended. The rich will always get rich but Trump has done more to help the poor than you realize or willing to acknowledge. look at the unemployment and welfare application. lowest in history. LOWEST but nooo keep believing the fake news about what you should worry about. Fascist? since when was trump a fascist? because he's a racist? what has he done to prove that he is a racist? again claims without evidence, all serving to distract from the real issue that trump is fixing. America has and always stood for the right thing and Trump is the course correction this country needed. He's no saint, he's not the hero we deserve but the hero we need. Those that voted for him voted for something authentic that no swampy politician was willing to do, say what they feel. Now they're attacking Trump for it and he's the political equivalent to a nuclear cockroach, you can throw anything at him and he'll survive. We conservative elected this con-man to run our country because crooked Hillary was worse. It is you who need to start understanding trump supporters and actually learn why liberals lost the election. Stop chalking it to Russian collusion and meddling. How much impact do you think it had on 300 million people? Our voting system is decentralized and not networked, Russians can't hack it like the media claims. Stop chalking it to un-educated hillbilly not knowing who to elect, they need to know one thing and one thing only, how to feed their families while they see jobs getting ransacked by china and the rest of the world. Its time liberals get off their elitist high horse and go back to grassroots politics. Else 2018,2020 is destined to be a repeat of 2016. A word of foresight, what happens in america will eventually find its way across the border to Canada and beyond.
  13. LOLS, so what about fire and fury last year, everyone was freaking out about how we were going to go thermal nuclear war with NK. the RUssian and chinese even station troops on their border. We got our prisoners back, no more nuclear test for over 8 months, no more ballistic missile test for the same amount of time, we got some of our remains back. sounds like a pretty good deal for just a meeting. Did we lift sanctions? No, Is de-nuclearization still on going, yes. Suspending joint exercises was a concession to keep the peace and a good will gesture by the US. Again good cop bad cop. But hey if you want to believe the fake news media without finding an different view then that's your choice.
  14. It's part of his good cop bad cop routine. Its all negotiation tactics. He's done it plenty to North Korea.
  15. The problem with the US doing a regime change is bad in many ways, one of which is that Iran will quickly become like Lybia as we have seen. Second liberals would just keep harping on us about interventionism and how we are wasting blood and treasure on a needless crusade. Third Trump as POTUS should look out for US interest regardless of outside opposition from the EU for financial gains.
  16. I don't really want to bring religion into this but fundamental Islam is just something we in the Judaeo-christian west are not compatible with. We don't believe in treating women as property and that slavery of other religion was okay. Those that believe in fundamental Islam didn't reach their 7th century way of thinking logically so we don't need to reason with them. Fundamental Islam is just one of the many shitty religion/cultures around the world, the sooner lefties admit to the fact that we are not simply going to reconcile with those kind of beliefs the better. We in the US military proudly deliver them to god to sort out.
  17. So are you saying that because of past contribution you are entitled to no longer pay for the collective defense, allowing America to shoulder the greatest burden and complain when we say no more? That's not really a valid excuse. The globalist did a fine job didn't they, leaving america's poor and destitute jobless and living on welfare, taking away their dignity because they're deplorables. If that's how you measure growth then consider america slapping tariff as a no thank you. LOL wut? Last I check I thought me and BC were the only Americans here. People are waking up to the truth, perhaps you didn't realize what was already obvious to others, the problem with unchecked leftism.
  18. not possible because standards are different for different countries/regions. A person living in South Sudan has a standard of living way different from someone in NYC. Umm so you mean to tell me that the majority of the war we fight is for oil??? then how do you explain that most of it now goes to europe and asia? You do realize the US is an oil exporter now, we're also a leader in renewable energy source ... https://financialtribune.com/articles/energy-economy/77244/europe-receiving-40-of-irans-crude-oil-shipments
  19. Correction, America was in decline. It is no longer. America is strong enough to take on any and all external adversary, the only problem is if it happens internally, we don't lose wars, we lose interest. Right now, we are shining our hegemonic aura once again and for some reason little brother Canada developed a huge allergic rash from it. By 2050, China would have either democratized and become an ally or it can become like North Korea's hermit kingdom, those are the two option it has. The only real tragedy is that I'm not sure if any liberal globalist will be around then to hear me say I told you so.
  20. The only problem with standing up to the American "bully/aggressor/imperialist" is that bigger and better countries tried and failed miserably. Remember what happened to the soviet union...comrade Canada should heed that lesson.
  21. The article claim that Trump's growth rate is not sustainable if tariff take affect and that the deficit grows. While partially true, it has to be taken into account that tariff have a much smaller impact on the economy as a whole simply due to the fact that America does not export much, China tariff only like 35 Billion and plans to do another 40 while Canada only tariff 16B etc... that is only roughly .5 percent of the GDP. Second, the economy is estimated to grow around 3 plus percent by most estimate, third, there are other economic factors that allows for a reduction in the effect of tariff such as trans-shipping and currency devaluation. While the US is starting to trend toward energy export, those item are currently not subject to tariffs. As long as the economy continues to grow and outpace the effects of tariff and tax cut then the deficit would not rise but decrease. Also differing views on sustainable growth by CNBC (non partisan) "Joe LaVorgna, chief economist for the Americas at Natixis... With good policy, we can continue to generate better growth than we have seen, if you get this endogenous lift in productivity." LaVorgna said his confidence is "fairly high" that 3 percent growth can continue. 'That's a 50 percent improvement from trend,' he said. 'It may not seem like a lot over a longer period of time, but 3 percent is a big deal. Is 3 sustainable? Yes.'" https://www.cnbc.com/2018/07/27/trump-goal-of-3-percent-economic-growth-is-achievable-and-sustainable.html This is why I said predicting economics is like predicting the weather, it has part science and math but it also has something unpredictable and that's the human element. Data is only meaningful once someone interprets it. That's the job of all economist, interpret data. They make their best guesstimate with the data set that they have. Two people can view the same data and come up with totally different interpretations. Don't take their Nobel credential too seriously now *hint hint wink wink.
  22. Yes you heard it right folks, apparently Russia wants Steven Seagal as its special envoy to improve better relationship with the US. Do they understand the magnitude of such a offer??? The Russians are trolling us on so many level, I just want to crawl into a fetal position and uninstall my internet. https://www.cnn.com/2018/08/04/politics/steven-seagal-russia-special-representative/index.html
  23. Yes if their end game was to pay for your production line to move overseas. Which is exactly what Made in China 2025 was all about. They want to remove manufacturing, especially the high tech manufacturing away from the US. Don't forget its not simply about counting numbers, trade also has strategic implication.
  24. I disagree, I see tariff as a means of getting people to negotiate. As Trump has offered during the G7 summit, why don't Canada, mexico, japan, south korea and the EU adopt free trade.... oh wait I think the only one left standing is Canada... Everybody else either agreed or is agreeing to a trade deal. Only Canada stands out as being the most stubborn with its insistence on milk tariff and supply management of agriculture. The issue isn't scorch earth as you portray but of protectionism for Canadian cartels. China's diplomatic sway is being buffeted by the new sheriff in town and even to a degree by the previous administration. Don't worry about us, we're going to beat the hell out of Russia and China without anyone's help. America is the only country on earth that can wage this type of war on multiple fronts and win. Which is exactly what we're doing, winning, look at our economy, never been better, look at our military never been better. Every other country seems to think that their opinion matter in America well hate to break the news but it doesn't. America's preeminence is undeniable, we're everywhere exerting enormous influence on everybody. But we're the good guys, so its okay, we're not trying to "scorch earth" we're trying to save the world from itself.
  25. I think its been established that Americans don't care or want to care what others think of America. This doesn't even have anything to do with trump, its a historical fact. America has and always been unconcerned with what the rest of the world think. ...so the US acted... by placing tariff on Canadian Chinese Steel and Aluminum destined for US market...Canada could of place import restriction themselves but they much prefer the US to do it. Uh...I think its been well established that Canadians are hurting themselves. Why place tariff on yourself when we were only placing tariff on china?? How does placing tariff of steel and aluminum coming from china destined for america hurt Canada?...unless the Canadians were in on it too? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... Before you develop an aneurysm with ad-hominem attacks, my roommate/best-friend is Canadian, many of my friends are Canadians, I have relatives in Canada, I love visiting Canada, I love Canucks (generally speaking). I simply detest Canadian political irony believing that the US is always bullying them when in fact the US is only protecting it self from China's trade policies and other unfair trade practices adopted by many other countries including Canada with their ridiculous supply management that only benefit a few Canadians at the expense of the majority of average Canadians. You're in no moral high ground Canada. It's time to do the right thing and adopt free trade, remove your barriers and supply management. As for china, no I'm pretty sure we're going to crush them single-handedly. All data point to the fact that their economy is slowing down, they have massive debt and inefficiency problem with state run/influenced businesses. Their money is inflating because money is leaving china. Its has to do with the fact that China is no longer a good place to do business.I love it when people tell me China will sell US treasury to retaliate, what people need to understand is that if they sell US treasury then inflation will basically hit even harder. Buying US greenbacks is the only reason why the Chinese Yuan hasn't collapsed.
